Many federal government employees balking at returning to offices

The federal government is facing pushback from employees reluctant to return to government offices after more than two years working from home.

Online forums for public servants have exploded in recent weeks with comments about the prospect of returning to offices, with employees comparing notes on the hybrid work plans each department is planning to adopt.

One comment by a Health Canada manager urging employees to return to the office, in part, to provide employees at a nearby Subway restaurant with more hours, blew up into a series of sarcastic memes online.

Compassionate Exemptions Cast Aside by Ottawa’s Desire for ‘Strong’ Travel Vaccine Mandate: Court Documents

The federal government made a conscious and well-thought-out decision to impose a strict travel vaccination mandate that wouldn’t allow compassionate exemptions, court documents reveal.

The documents obtained recently by The Epoch Times relate to four lawsuits challenging the mandate that have shed some light on the thinking that led to a policy that aimed to have a “strong” and “world-leading” mandate.

Warning by Ontario’s Dr. Moore of Myocarditis Risk After COVID Shot Comes Too Late

Ontario’s vaccine recommendations have been completely nonsensical throughout the pandemic. Consider the Ministry of Health’s baseless campaign to boost the entire adult and youth population:

“All individuals in Ontario aged ≥12 years of age are recommended to receive a first booster dose after completion of a primary COVID-19 vaccine series,” the ministry said on July 14.

What benefit does a healthy 23-year-old man with prior infection and two vaccine doses have to gain from a third jab?

CDC Claims Link Between Heart Inflammation and COVID-19 Vaccines Wasn’t Known for Most of 2021

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has claimed that there was no known association between heart inflammation and COVID-19 vaccines as late as October 2021.

CDC officials made the claim, which is false, in response to a Freedom of Information Act request for reports from a CDC team that is focused on analyzing the risk of post-vaccination myocarditis and pericarditis, two forms of heart inflammation. Both began to be detected at higher-than-expected rates after COVID-19 vaccination in the spring of 2021.

Biden’s cough returns on fourth day of COVID ‘rebound’ battle

President Biden’s doctor reported the return of a “loose” cough Tuesday on the fourth day of Biden’s COVID-19 “rebound” infection.

Biden, 79, spoke with a noticeably deeper and gravelly voice when he virtually addressed a computer chip-focused event Tuesday afternoon.

The president completed a five-day regimen of the antiviral Paxlovid last week, but the virus resurfaced in daily testing Saturday after Biden resumed in-person White House engagements for three days.

Should have given him horse paste.
