Canadians have constitutional right to unequal treatment, new report argues

Equity, not equality, is a constitutionally protected right in Canada, argues a new report published by a Calgary-based think tank.

“Canadians have been sold a bill of goods,” Bruce Pardy, the author of the report and a Queen’s University law professor, told National Post by email. “Many of them think that they have a right to equal treatment under the law. They think that discrimination is illegal. But nothing could be further from the truth. In Canada, discrimination is lawful as long as it is committed against the right groups — and in particular against straight white men.

I wish Poilievre would comment publicly on this.

The PPC will abolish these racist laws.

A hard diversity quota for medical-school admissions is a terrible, counterproductive idea

There are several good reasons why medical schools would want to graduate physicians who reflect the diversity of Canada’s population. Studies show that patients tend to feel most comfortable with physicians who look or sound like them, who can communicate in their native languages, and/or who understand their cultural norms or religious practices. We know that institutional bias still exists in our medical system, and that Black, Indigenous and other racialized Canadians experience poorer health outcomes as a result. At worst, this bias manifests in extreme cases of medical neglect, such as that of Indigenous woman Joyce Echaquan, who was taunted by Quebec hospital staff as she writhed in pain, dying of pulmonary edema.

The Tower of Babel was not a success.

DEI Captures the Treasury Department

The Treasury Department is ground zero for the Biden administration’s “whole-of-government” DEI agenda. The agency, which serves as the guardian of the American financial system, has translated critical race and gender theories into official policy—all under the guise of “diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

We have conducted an exclusive investigation that reveals the stunning capture of the Treasury, which, under the current DEI mandate, has worked to advance the principles of left-wing racialism, directing billions of dollars to favored racial and “underserved” groups, hiring a cadre of radical race “experts” to cement the new orthodoxy within the department, and considering potential auditees’ race in IRS tax investigations.

Jamie Sarkonak: Education activists need to leave the kids alone

Some Ontario schools use a little program called Strong Start to help kids learn to read. For years, it’s done so by using games: its “Three Bears Alphabet” board game centres around a mother bear, a father bear and a child bear; its “Treasure Hunt” game takes place on a sandy beach with trading ships off the coast. And the “Race to the Castle” game has children move along the board doing just that.

The Verdict Is In: Non-Merit Based Hiring Has Diminished Quality at Canadian Universities

The Times Higher Education, widely regarded as among the world’s leading journals for reporting on higher education in the UK and worldwide, has released its yearly university rankings. Alarmingly, Canadian universities are experiencing a significant decline in their rankings. Over 40 percent of Canadian universities have dropped from their previous year’s positions, a trend that should urgently concern us all.

Phil Baty, the Times Higher Education chief global affairs officer, noted: “Canada has some of the world’s very best universities, with three in the top 50 and eight in the top 200. However, the continued fall of a significant number of Canadian universities is a cause for concern.”

Is Steve Sailer re-entering the conservative mainstream?

A few blocks from the US Capitol, Union Station has for years been a hotspot for homeless encampments. The contrast between the enormous Beaux-Arts train station and the men sleeping beneath its awnings has been the punchline of many a joke about elite hypocrisy. The men and women whose policy decisions are blamed for such public disorder consider it unkind, even gauche, to discuss the problem.

It’s here that one of America’s most controversial writers, Steve Sailer, spoke Thursday evening, the latest stop on his long journey back toward the conservative mainstream.

Self-Flagellants Of The Political & Chattering Class Express Horror At A White Lives Matter Sign In Ontario!

Mayor ‘denounces hate’ as debate around white lives matter sign intensifies

A controversial sign(opens in a new tab) has temporarily moved to a neighbour’s lawn just outside of Goderich, but the message on it, ‘White Lives Matter,’ remains the same.

“Well, it’s not a nice sign to see. It is not in the town, but it’s still in the neighboring municipality, so people are either leaving town or coming to the cottage, and that’s something that they’re seeing on Highway 21. And, you know, it shouldn’t be a reflection of our town, but unfortunately, it’s being perceived as a reflection of our town,” said Goderich Mayor Trevor Bazinet.

The sign is not hateful and is controversial only to preening self flagellants and DEI Grifters.

The real crime here is the numb acceptance and propagation of anti-white racism by the media and political class. You really don’t hate them enough.

Science magazine promotes faulty race discrimination claim

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is on the ropes these days, and it’s a big problem for institutions that have invested deeply in this belief system. One way to rescue the enterprise is to tout new scientific results which buttress the claim that minorities and women are discriminated against in academia. Ergo the need for affirmative action.

Toyota Ditches Woke Corporate Policies

Toyota announced Thursday it will no longer sponsor LGBTQ parades and events and will no longer make efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Toyota told employees it will no longer participate in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index and other corporate surveys. Instead, it will “narrow our community activities to align with STEM education and workforce readiness,” the automaker explained in a memo to its 50,000 employees and 1,500 dealers.

If your company promotes DEI you are saying you hate me. That’s Fine I have a long memory.

America’s Young Men Are Falling Even Further Behind

Men in their 20s and early 30s are much more likely than female peers to live with their parents, and many say they feel aimless and isolated

In Spanish, parents call it encaminado: making sure your children are on the path to an independent adulthood.

Out of Dan and Joana Moreno’s four grown kids, only their daughter is encaminada. She recently graduated from business school and got engaged. The Morenos’ three adult sons are still sleeping in their Miami childhood bedrooms. The younger two dropped out of college, and the oldest never went. All three are single. Their only work experience is with the family business.

“Something has gone amiss here,” says their father, Dan, who owns the repair chain Flamingo Appliance Service. “We love them, we love having them around, but that’s not how you build a life.”
The life trajectories of America’s sons and daughters are diverging.

Presented with a more-equal playing field, young women are seizing the opportunities in front of them, while young men are floundering. The phenomenon has developed over the past decade, but was supercharged by the pandemic, which derailed careers, schooling and isolated friends and families. The result has big implications for the economy.

It’s a mystery!

Jamie Sarkonak: Ontario’s education curriculum is infected with Marxist nonsense

In a province that’s added a generous share of race communism and guilt politics to its classrooms and teacher training materials in the past decade, it shouldn’t be a surprise that some teachers are taking kids to protests.

Ontario’s curriculum includes teachings that promote Marxism, Critical Race Theory and the identification and shaming of “dominant” groups in society, all while denigrating colonialism — and white people, by proxy — as a simplistic force of evil.

Hollywood Reporter Columnist Admits ‘Am I Racist?’ Ignored Because Media Is Liberal

The homily “Many a truth is said in jest” may apply to the opening paragraph of Joel Stein’s quasi-review of the comedic anti-DEI documentary Am I Racist? by anti-woke activist and satirist Matt Walsh, in The Hollywood Reporter.

Always the oppressor never the oppressed!

“Antisemitism is a form of colonial oppression historically used to marginalize and oppress Jewish people.” AND “Antisemitism continues to impact Jewish communities as a legacy of colonialism.”

Someone needs to ask B’nai Brith who they consider to be the Apex Oppressors in Canada given they have now declared themselves part of the DEI victimhood fellowship. It can’t be the Muslims they’re fellowship brethren. Maybe the Islamists have internalized the racism and antisemitism of the oppressor class! Yea that’s the ticket!

‘Anti-racism’ is tearing Britain apart

A failure to teach anti-racism in schools helped to cause the UK’s summer riots. That’s the opinion of Funmilola Stewart, a diversity and inclusion specialist, and one of 12 individuals recently appointed by Labour education secretary Bridget Phillipson to advise on a review of the English school curriculum.
