Decolonization: How a Dangerous Ideology Was Born

A second “D” has been added to “DEI.” The pervasive diversity, equity, and inclusion trio has been repackaged as “EDID”: equity, diversity, inclusion, and decolonization. Like DEI, decolonization holds that society is systemically divided between a class of oppressors/exploiters and various victimized/oppressed minorities defined by their (racial, sexual, etc.) identities. And while the designated victim groups are fluid and shifting, the oppressors invariably fall into one category: “privileged” “white” “European” “settlers.”

Now firmly nested in Canada, decolonization is by far the most dangerous of this ideological quartet. If we’re not careful, it will lead to serious bloodshed. This first instalment of my three-part series focuses on decolonization’s origins.

New CRTC Questionnaire Asks Broadcasters About Their Diversity Practices, Raising Concerns About Ideological Creep

The CRTC is asking Canadian broadcasters for extensive details on their diversity initiatives in hiring and broadcasting.

In a four-page letter sent May 1 by email, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) asked broadcasters six questions on their “program offerings and employment opportunities” to see if they met the requirements of the Online Streaming Act.

J.D. Tuccille: Rampant DEI nonsense to blame for the chaos seizing higher education

With American college campuses convulsed by protests that are anti-Israeli, anti-American and often antisemitic, it’s a good time to ask how students at the country’s institutions of higher education are so profoundly radicalized and hostile to their own society. The answer is that, to a great extent, these schools are the authors of their own problems. They worked hard to politicize students and, at least with some, succeeded.

Crack Down on Anti-Semitic K–12 Curricula

It’s not just on campus: even in primary and secondary education, Jews are often portrayed as privileged whites and Zionist colonial oppressors.

Anti-Semitism is spreading in K–12 school districts. Even in primary and secondary education, Jews are often viewed as privileged whites and oppressors, with Israel branded as an egregious example of “settler colonialism” and oppression of “indigenous people.” “Liberated ethnic studies” curricula, like the one mandated by California, have created a distinct variant of critical theory aimed at Jews for being Zionist colonial oppressors.

I’ve read a number of articles on the topic of DEI and CRT in the classroom and also the wider world.

A few recognize that it is poison for everyone. But others seem fine with DEI so long as Jews are able to secure a safe space in the victimhood hierarchy.

Groups like the ADL of course are keen to grab a piece of that action leaving whites as the Eternal Oppressor.

NYC to pay $2.1M in race discrimination settlement with three educators who were demoted for being White

The city will pay a total $2.1 million to three white Department of Education executives demoted under ex-Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza and replaced by less-qualified people of color, they charged.

Lois Herrera, Jaye Murray and Laura Feijoo – who will receive $700,000 each – reached a settlement three months after a judge ruled they “offer evidence of race-based discrimination in Carranza’s DOE,” paving the way for a June trial.

“This landmark case is a resounding affirmation that discrimination of any form should not be tolerated in educational institutions, regardless of the race of those negatively impacted,” their lawyer Davida Perry told The Post.

This type of case is beginning to blossom.

We are the West’s last generation before the new Dark Age begins

There is no future for our civilisation if universities’ totalitarian indoctrination of the young continues

There is a fatal contradiction at the heart of Western societies, a nihilistic impulse, a pathological self-loathing that threatens to destroy our way of life. We live in the freest, wealthiest, healthiest, fairest and most technologically advanced polities in history, and yet millions of young people are being taught to hate the West, to despise the liberties that make their lifestyles possible, to tear down every institution and tradition.

Jamie Sarkonak: Danielle Smith is the antidote to Trudeau’s DEI agenda in universities

The Liberal government has infused its social policy goals into funding for academic research for years — but to many progressives, that’s all fine and good. The real problem, they’ll tell you, is the premier who noticed it: Danielle Smith.

To push back at the federal encroachment into all things provincial — universities, yes, but also municipalities, health, schools, pharmacare and daycare — Smith’s government has tabled Bill 18, the provincial priorities act. The law would make the provincial government the final authority on all agreements between “provincial entities” and the feds.

Black Wars of Liberation Come to America

Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently appointed Zakiya Carr Johnson as the State Department’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer.

Her mission, according to Blinken, was to help build a workforce that reflects America.

Given that Blinken has previously promoted a politically correct agenda, for example, suggesting that employees avoid gendered terms such as manpower and mother, this comes as no surprise. Blinken justified this diversity effort in terms of national security, saying, “We will continue to pursue this mission aggressively, because recruiting, nurturing, and promoting the most capable workforce possible is critical to our national security.”

Blinken appoints an anti-White, anti-American DEI chief and people wonder at the “Silence”.

McKinsey’s Diversity Fog

DEI – racist anti-white communist ideology

The consulting giant touts its studies purporting to show that race- and gender-conscious hiring leads to greater profits—but it likely has the causation backward.

Last year, McKinsey & Company released a study purporting to demonstrate that corporations with more diverse leadership—more women and racial minorities in executive positions—were also more profitable. The consulting behemoth’s findings were consistent with those of its previous three diversity studies, in 2015, 2018, and 2020, each of which had been cited across industries and government institutions as proof of the supposed financial benefits of race- and gender-conscious hiring policies. Now, a new paper raises questions about McKinsey’s methodology and suggests that its advertised findings may have gotten the causation backward: financial success may lead corporations to embrace diversity efforts, rather than the other way around.

You Can’t Fire Only the White Guys

Now showing more anti white bullshit

Illegal discrimination is still illegal discrimination even if a corporate HR department wraps it in the language of equity and inclusion. As a reminder of this legal reality, the C-Suite might want to review a recent opinion by a federal appeals court, upholding a jury verdict for a hospital executive who says he was fired merely for being a white male amid a workforce diversity push.

Canadian Jews are once again in the crosshairs of cancel culture

Like other western countries, Canada isn’t immune to “cancel culture,” a disturbing sign of the times. The term itself may be contemporary but cancel culture’s unholy mix of defamation, intimidation and threats is anything but new. Variations on this practice date back millennia, with Jews often the prime target.

Amid rampant antisemitism and the current tyranny of cancel culture run amok, the anti-Israel camp is leading the charge in trying to silence the voices of Jews. Sadly, they’re succeeding far too often as organizations and institutions capitulate to pressure from those seeking to cancel Jews.

Some kinds of hate are less worthy than others in Canada. Our schools, governments and even human rights commissions openly abuse Whites,  both children and adults. Only rarely does it merit attention from the media as the Bilkszto case did. Typically there are no repercussions for discriminating against Whites, the DEI huckster in the Bilkszto case is still in business.

DEI Top Dogs Warn Intelligence Agencies Not to Use Terms Such as ‘Jihadist’

It’s no surprise that people whose life work is to enforce the principles of “diversity, equity and inclusion” (DEI) would have only a glancing acquaintance with the truth. And so it has now come to pass in our green and pleasant land that DEI officials are warning the “intelligence community” that it must not speak accurately about the jihad threat, or even refer to “jihadists” at all. To do so would — you guessed it! — offend Muslims, and with Muslims in the U.S. already enraged at the Biden regime for its ostensible and vanishing support for Israel, we can’t have that.

Barbara Kay: Is TikTok responsible for Gen Z’s hostility toward Israel and Jews?

Last week, with bipartisan support, the United States House of Representatives voted to force the sale of TikTok, the video-sharing platform owned by ByteDance, a company under the influence of the Chinese Communist Party, to non-Chinese owners, or face a ban in the U.S.

The loss of TikTok would have little to no impact on the lives of most mature Americans. But TikTok users are overwhelmingly young, and many are addicted to the platform for a spectrum of reasons — including, for many influencers and small businesses, their own financial benefit.

It is widely acknowledged that TikTok is a powerful force in shaping adolescent users’ self-perceptions and beliefs. The platform’s influence has been plausibly linked to devastating consequences for individuals, but also to the “ mass formation ” of unhealthy cultural trends.

Under the guise of “anti-racism” we have made the hatred of White children normal in our schools.

If applied to any other race or religious group the usual suspects would howl with righteous indignation.

Our school boards, governments, teacher’s unions, the corporate class and even our human rights commissions have deemed the hatred of White people to be publicly acceptable.

To fight back serves only to affirm our racism and so hating White people has been institutionalized in Canada.

That same hate has been weaponized against Zionist Jews who have been declared “White” by the left.

Tik Tok certainly plays a role as all social media does but Gen Z is more likely acting out a Stockholm Syndrome scenario thanks to being subjected to “anti-racist” struggle sessions from elementary school through university.

For Muslim children the hatred of Israel, Jews and western civilization is bred in the bone and they need no help from Tik Tok or the left.

Welcome to Trudeau’s Canada.

Google’s Woke AI Wasn’t a Mistake. We Know. We Were There.

It was a display that would have blown even Orwell’s mind: search for images of “Nazis” and Google’s AI chatbot shows you almost exclusively artificially generated black Nazis; search “knights” and you get female, Asian knights; search “popes” and it’s women popes. Ask it to share the Houthi slogan or define a woman, and Google’s new product says that it will not in order to prevent harm. As for whether Hitler or Elon Musk is more dangerous? The AI chatbot says that it is “complex and requires careful consideration.” Ask it the same question about Obama and Hitler and it will tell you the question is “inappropriate and misleading.”
