CTV News Ottawa first reported last week that local towing companies were rejecting Ottawa police requests for help towing vehicles from the ‘red zone.” A source said police were considering launching a criminal investigation into whether intimidation of the tow truck companies is leading to a lack of cooperation.

Without any evidence, Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson said during a Monday council meeting that a weekend arson attempt at an apartment building in the city “clearly demonstrates the malicious intent” of the truckers’ convoy on Parliament Hill.
The police who are attacking the truckers and seizing their fuel are exempt from the vaccine mandate the truckers are protesting against. Can’t make it up! pic.twitter.com/ekyvVW9oVB

People are currently protesting in Ottawa by carrying around empty jerry cans. Mainstream media is in SHOCK, and as usual, has no idea what is actually going on. https://t.co/jdaFowC4bK

The sweet smell of freedom emanating from the streets of Ottawa is about to get a whole lot sweeter.
That’s because these fine Polish women just arrived on the scene with 1,550 Polish sausages, buns, bread, and hundreds of doughnuts for the truckers who continue to flood the streets of Ottawa in protest of vaccine mandates.
These ladies drove for four and a half hours from their store in Toronto—280 MILES—to bring food to these hungry fed-up truckers.

“This is an absolute disgrace that you would come out & praise this illegal action that has caused stress and hardship to residents who have been putting up with horns blasting throughout the night and residents harassed for wearing a mask & businesses forced to close,” said Watson in a tweet on Wednesday. “Apologize.”

The “Freedom Convoy” made up of hundreds of vehicles and reportedly 45 miles long at one point rolled into Ottawa on Saturday as truck drivers in Canada protested the country’s vaccine mandate. The protest has now entered its second day in Canada’s capital, with many of the protesters continuing to demonstrate against vaccine mandates and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The Ottawa police announced on Sunday that its focus would now shift to pushing protesters out of the downtown area as the city attempts to return to normal after the influx of people.

Up to 2,000 trucks are due on Saturday, but there will be events every day until the convoy receives an answer from the government.
The parties reached the agreement on New Year’s Eve, on the last day of negotiations, which included the Assembly of First Nations, the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society, and representatives of class-action lawsuits related to Indigenous child welfare. The federal government will reveal details of the non-binding agreement on Tuesday.

The lawsuit by Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply is headed for trial with accusations Ottawa and four federal employees are guilty of misfeasance in public office over the rollout of firearms restrictions.
It challenges how RCMP and government firearm officials process and classify firearms — deciding which guns that are not specifically banned by name in the law will also be prohibited in Canada.

This is a situation where relative harms must be weighed against each other. Compulsory immunization will cut the number of workers available to deliver essential public services, such as health care or policing.
