Black Canadian justice strategy still in the works, as advocates call for reform

Justice Minister David Lametti’s office said he is working with members of Black communities to develop the strategy and will have “more to say on this soon.”

“The priority in doing so is for Black Canadians to have access to fair and just treatment before the law,” said Lametti’s press secretary, Diana Ebadi, in a written statement.

“Canada’s Black Justice Strategy will put us on a path toward a more just and equitable society by addressing systemic discrimination and the overrepresentation of Black people in the criminal justice system, including as victims of crime.”

Because it’s always Whitey’s fault that Blacks commit crimes, especially Black on Black crime.

White Girls: The Victims the Left Ignore

The brutal murder of 12-year-old Lola Daviet is so heinous a crime, I wish I could spare you the details. But I cannot, as to ignore their evil would dishonour her memory. Lola’s body was discovered on the 14th of October 2022, in a suitcase in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. She was raped, tortured, and had her throat slashed by Dahbia Benkired, an Algerian national who outstayed her visa, and was in the country illegally.

Traditionally, journalists have always had the same approach to scandalous stories such as this: if it bleeds, it leads. But the modern media are more discerning when it comes to crime; they are determined to ensure that two major factors are in order before they get excited: first, that the victim is not white, and second, that the perpetrator is white. ‘Racial justice’ is a billion dollar industry, and if you want to sell a story, it’s imperative to identify a narrative for which the market has an appetite.

Jamie Sarkonak: The Ontario homicide case that has ended racial fairness in court

The Ontario Court of Appeal ruled late September that the criminal records of Indigenous persons can be excluded from their trials to preserve fairness. Trial fairness, to Ontario’s top court, means creating race-based procedural rules to supposedly make up for the effects of systemic racism. In other words, these rules aren’t fair at all.

The problem is the “data” did not confirm anything beyond the fact that it was skewed by design in order to push the preferred race-baiting narrative as Lorrie Goldstein so ably pointed out.

… But what the report excludes are the crime rates in the various communities with which the police interact.

Logically that’s part of the equation because if they are higher in some communities than others, that will impact the frequency and type of their interactions with police.

However, it has been illegal for police forces in Ontario to gather or reveal this data for decades.

… In other words, while Blacks were disproportionately charged by police compared to whites (15,122 per 100,000 compared to 3,853 per 100,000), whites were disproportionately charged by police compared to visible minority groups other than Blacks (3,853 per 100,000 compared to 2,116 per 100,000).

The problem with this logic is that it infers that for the police to prove they aren’t  racist, they must demonstrate the percentage of people they arrest and charge in every racial group reflects their percentage of the population.

VIRGINIA: Jefferson Davis Statue Destroyed by BLM Rioters Now Displayed as Left-Wing Art

Erected in 1907, Richmond’s historic statue of Jefferson Davis was destroyed in 2020 by the Black Lives Matter rioters who besieged the city; burning businesses, museums, and homes, even killing a little girl in the name of left-wing racial justice. Along with other statues and artifacts, what remains of the monument to Jefferson Davis was given by Democrat officials to the far-left Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia, to be shown off as a trophy in the left’s war on White America.

As a black man who refuses to be a victim, I have a very different definition of who the white supremacists are

What exactly is “white supremacy”? People these days seem to have their own definition for this ever-present phrase, molding it into whatever suits their particular agenda. Since it appears to be fluid, I’d like to present another definition.

White supremacy is a belief system that holds black people as continuous victims in a white-majority society, deeming them incapable without the benevolence of white people or the government and constantly portraying them as impoverished, weak-willed, overly emotional, mentally fragile and without fortitude.

America Needs Anti-Racialism

… In the eyes of the anti-racists themselves, the campaigns against CRT, affirmative action, and progressive criminal-justice reform are just racism—a form of “white backlash” against the growing political power of minorities, which is all the more insidious for professing to be “color-blind.” Slightly more difficult to account for is the fact that, on many sensitive racial issues, nonwhite minorities are aligned against the positions of the progressive anti-racists. In a Pew Research Center survey from April, for instance, 59 percent of Black respondents, 68 percent of Hispanic respondents, and 63 percent of Asian respondents agreed that race should not be a factor in college admissions. Research from Zach Goldberg, a doctoral student in political science at Georgia State University, has shown that white liberals consistently express stronger agreement with many tenets of the anti-racist worldview than do minorities. More generally, as the Democratic Party has become more and more identified with anti-racism, it has actually shed support among nonwhite people, especially Hispanics.

Ottawa will implement legislation to decrease Indigenous incarceration, Canada’s Justice Minister says

Canada’s Justice Minister is adamant that Liberal legislation will begin reversing the country’s disproportionate rate of Indigenous incarceration, but he acknowledges more needs to be done to address racial inequities in the justice system.

In an interview, Justice Minister David Lametti responded to recent criticism that the Liberal government has produced little in the way of policy response to the problem. The Globe reported earlier this month that Indigenous women now make up 50 per cent of the female population in federal prisons, even though just 4.9 per cent of women in Canada are Indigenous. For all Indigenous prisoners, men and women, the rate stands at 32 per cent.

It does not take much digging to poke holes in the “racism” narrative. On any given day local sources report bomb threats all over the country.
