Elon Musk slams Twitter for ‘going too far in squashing dissenting opinions’ after Jordan Peterson’s account was suspended for deadnaming Elliot Page

Elon Musk has slammed Twitter for kicking Jordan Peterson off the social media platform over a tweet that deadnamed Elliot Page.

The billionaire blasted the website ‘for going way too far’ in suspending the psychologist for his post about the transgender actor.

The anti-woke Canadian had his account disabled for negative posts about Page’s transition to a man, saying the actor’s ‘breasts were removed by a criminal physician’.

Jordan Peterson: I’d Rather Die Than Delete Truthful Tweet For Cancel Creeps

A few days ago, I penned an irritated tweet in response to one of the latest happenings on the increasingly heated culture war front in response to the decision of an actress (actor) named Ellen (Elliot) Page. I am employing this awkward and impossible multiple-naming style because it is now apparently mandatory — and probably doing it wrong, nonetheless, as “you’re doing it wrong” is the whole point of what has been made mandatory — but also to make a point.

Jordan Peterson suspended from Twitter, says it might as well be a ban: ‘I won’t apologize’

Jordan Peterson has been temporarily suspended from using Twitter after the social media platform said he violated the site’s hateful conduct policy.

On June 28, the controversial author, clinical psychologist and professor emeritus at the University of Toronto lost access to most of his Twitter account features because of a tweet he posted earlier in the week that used transgender actor Elliot Page’s former name and suggested he had his “breasts removed by a criminal physician.”

Ellen Page is not a well person. Her public episodes should be warning enough to the media to cease encouraging her to act out.

Twitter Is Just Fine With Calls to Assassinate Justice Thomas

Shortly after Roe v. Wade was overturned, a Twitter user with the handle @redfrnn, who has since deleted his or her or xis account, tweeted: “i’m going to assassinate supreme court justice Clarence Thomas.” The same Twitter user had just before that tweeted a photo of a gun, saying: “im considering buying a mac mini.” Twitter, however, did not find this murderous psychopath to be in violation of their rules, despite the fact that those rules say, “You may not threaten violence against an individual or a group of people.”

Project Veritas Leaks Elon Musk‘s All-Hands Meeting with Twitter

James O’Keefe’s investigative journalism group Project Veritas has leaked a recording of Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s all-hands meeting with Twitter employees. Pressed by employees on free speech, Musk answered, “I think there’s also, there’s freedom of speech and freedom of reach, so I think people should be allowed to say…pretty outrageous things that are within the balance, the law, but, but then they don’t, you know, get amplified.”

So he’s for shadow bans?

In call with Twitter staff, Elon Musk muses on space aliens, company’s future

June 16 (Reuters) – Elon Musk addressed Twitter (TWTR.N) employees for the first time on Thursday, expressing his view that Twitter would need to cut its headcount, but offering few other new details about his $44 billion planned takeover of the social media company.

Musk appeared via video call 10 minutes late to what turned out to be a freewheeling question and answer session moderated by a Twitter executive, in which Musk mused about the existence of aliens and other space civilizations and his view that Twitter should help “civilization and consciousness.”

Twitter bans accounts threatening Libs of TikTok after Elon Musk gets involved

When the Twitter account Libs of TikTok reported threats, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the probable future owner of the social media site, brought more attention to the issue.

Libs of TikTok is an account that reposts short videos from left-wing social media users. Musk tagged Twitter in his response to the account’s Twitter thread, where its creator reported several instances of threatening behavior online.

“Why?” Musk asked.

From Frying Pan to Fire: Elon Musk to Address Twitter Employees at Thursday Meeting

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is set to address Twitter employees at an all-hands meeting on Thursday. Musk’s contentious potential buyout of the social media platform has caused plunging employee morale, with one survey finding 78 percent of employees do not believe he has the company and its shareholders’ best interests at heart.

Twitter caves to Musk, will give up user data

Elon Musk’s effort to purchase Twitter, assuming he still actually wants to do it, ran into a serious snag in the past couple of weeks. Musk insisted that Twitter turn over all of it’s user data to him so he could verify how many “real” users they have and how many accounts are spam bots. A failure to do so would, according to Musk and his attorneys, constitute a breach of the merger agreement they had previously reached.

Musk threatens to walk away from Twitter deal

DETROIT (AP) — Elon Musk is threatening to walk away from his $44 billion bid to buy Twitter, accusing the company of refusing to give him information about its spam bot and fake accounts.

Lawyers for the Tesla and SpaceX CEO made the threat in a letter to Twitter dated Monday, and Twitter disclosed it in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The letter says Musk has repeatedly asked for the information since May 9, about a month after his offer to buy the company, so he could evaluate how many of the company’s 229 million accounts are fake.

Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal has said that Twitter has consistently estimated that fewer than 5% of its accounts are fake. But Musk has disputed that, contending in a May tweet that 20% or more are bogus.

Meet the Conspiracy Theorist Behind Twitter’s ‘Crisis Misinformation Policy’

Twitter’s pick to stop the spread of misinformation in times of crisis has a history of pushing falsehoods.

Yoel Roth, the head of Twitter’s safety and integrity unit, unveiled the site’s “crisis misinformation policy” on Thursday. In a blog post, Roth outlined how Twitter will place warning labels on tweets deemed to contain misinformation and prevent them from being “amplified or recommended” in times of armed conflict, natural disasters, or public health emergencies.

Quick tell the investors: Twitter is a kindergarten for communists, not there to make profits

Another Project Veritas operation exposes what’s going on behind the lines at Twitter and the most astonishing thing is not the political censorship but how Twitter is run like a Day Care centre for student activists. It’s not a profit making business, so much as a university club with salaries for people who may only work 4 hours a week and brag about being “left left left” and as “commie as f**k”. If they need days off, they just don’t turn up to work. Sometimes they take months off. “Mental health is everything”.

No wonder Twitter employees hate Musk and are stress eating — They have jobs where they get paid to take a month off, and no one cares how efficient they are, or what their sales figures or expenses were. Nice work if you can get it.
