MSNBC Absurdly Claims Twitter Files Makes Twitter Look Good

Brandy Zadrozny’s appearance on Friday’s The 11th Hour on MSNBC with host Stephanie Ruhle raised the question of whether or not the duo read the same Twitter thread as everybody else, because Zadrozny claimed Matt Taibbi’s thread detailing how Twitter suppressed the New York Post article on Hunter Biden’s laptop actually makes Twitter look good.

Left-wing journos attack reporter Matt Taibbi for exposing Musk’s Twitter files

Mainstream news reporters — in lockstep with Democratic strategists — rushed to social media to smear journalist Matt Taibbi as a “sad” “fraud” as he released his bombshell report on political censorship at Twitter.

“Matt Taibbi…what sad, disgraceful downfall,” Daily Beast columnist and New York Times contributor Wajahat Ali posted. “Selling your soul for the richest white nationalist on Earth.”

How Twitter suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story

Perhaps the most disturbing part of Matt Taibbi’s revelations is that they aren’t that surprising

For weeks now, Twitter’s new chief Elon Musk has been promising to reveal what really happened behind the scenes at the social media platform in the run up to the 2020 presidential election.

Well, yesterday, Musk did — through the journalist Matt Taibbi. It’s a big story, one that free speech supporters everywhere should take seriously. What happened at Twitter in 2020 shows how easily concern about “safety” can, under political pressure, morph into corruption and censorship.

Who is Vijaya Gadde, the Twitter exec involved in censoring Post’s Hunter Biden laptop bombshell?

Not raised right.

“The decision was made at the highest levels of the company, but without the knowledge of CEO Jack Dorsey, with former head of legal, policy and trust Vijaya Gadde playing a key role,” Taibbi wrote after reviewing internal company communications for a report he dubbed “The Twitter Files.”

I hope she can be jailed.

Has the CBC done an article about this?

Hunter Biden laptop bombshell: Elon Musk’s Twitter drops Post censorship details

There’s nothing to “like” about this.

Elon Musk unveiled devastating internal Twitter files on Friday that showed the company responding to a request “from the Biden team” during the run-up to the 2020 election — shortly after the company cracked down on The Post’s scoops about Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop.

Musk tweeted a link to the account of independent journalist Matt Taibbi, who began posting a series of what appeared to be redacted emails from Twitter employees.

Every bit as corrupt as you imagined it to be and more!

‘That’s a question for Apple’: White House dodges questions on why it has promised to ‘monitor’ Musk’s Twitter – while avoiding Tim Cook’s firm siding with Chinese government and making it harder for ‘zero COVID’ protesters to communicate

The White House was accused of double standards on Wednesday, as a senior spokesman deflected questions about Apple bowing to Chinese authorities, saying the tech giant was a private company, while the Biden administration says it is monitoring Twitter for misinformation.

During an appearance on Fox News, John Kirby, the National Security Council’s coordinator for strategic communications, said it was a case of comparing ‘apples and oranges.’

Conservatives have expressed fury with the White House, after it said it would be keeping ‘an eye on’ misinformation spread on Twitter, after Elon Musk bought the platform.

EU warns Elon Musk of possible Twitter ban under new rules

Elon Musk has been told he faces “huge work ahead” to bring Twitter into compliance with new European rules on disinformation or face a possible ban.

European Union commissioner Thierry Breton made the comments in a meeting with Mr Musk on Wednesday.

He said the social media site would have to address issues such as content moderation, disinformation and targeted adverts.

The back-and-forth comes as the new law is set to go into effect.

Two Cheers for Elon Musk’s Twitter

I’m in for the Elon Musk revolution.

After 2016’s twin political shocks of Brexit and Donald Trump, the message went out that social media had to come under the political control of — well, whatever you want to call it: the Blob, the center-left, the Apparatus, the managerial class. A giant moral panic was worked up over “disinformation,” and Silicon Valley used its cash to buy off its critics — often employing them in expanded departments dedicated to “safety” and “disinformation.” The private sector responded by immediately crowning “disinformation experts” and “online safety advocates” on the outside.

I hope he follows through.

Twitter must come clean on censoring Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story: Musk

Elon Musk has insisted that full disclosure on Twitter’s decision to censor The Post’s exclusive story about Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop is “necessary” in order to restore public trust in the social media giant.

The world’s richest man, who purchased the platform last month, made his position clear late Wednesday when he responded to a Twitter user who asked whether the internal communications that led to the censorship decision should be released.

I love it.

Musk Starts Another Twitter Poll, This One Asking Of ‘General Amnesty’ For Suspended Accounts

Elon Musk has posted another Twitter poll, the results of which could see thousands of accounts unbanned. The billionaire was talking about bringing “free speech” to Twitter long before his takeover of the social media platform was confirmed. Speculation was also rife regarding the status of accounts that were banned under Twitter’s old rules, but wouldn’t have been sanctioned under whatever rules Musk was set to implement.

‘Correct’: Musk agrees with Dinesh D’Souza about ‘one-way’ Twitter censorship

Twitter CEO Elon Musk said he agreed with Dinesh D’Souza regarding the social media platform’s history of targeting conservatives.

“We don’t hear much about Democrats and leftists being let back on Twitter. Why? Because they were never kicked off in the first place,” D’Souza tweeted, tagging Musk. “Their lies and misinformation simply escaped all scrutiny. Censorship has been deployed as a one-way operation against conservatives.”

That is hopeful.

Thanks, but no thanks, Elon! Trump says he is ‘staying’ on Truth Social despite Chief Twit restoring his Twitter account

Despite his reinstatement to short form social posting platform Twitter, former President Donald Trump – the owner of Truth Social – said he doesn’t ‘see any reason’ to rejoin the platform.

Several days ago, new Twitter owner Elon Musk polled the site’s users on Trump’s reinstatement – the Yes votes won out by close to four percent after more than 15 million people voted.

Musk tweeted: ‘The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated.’

Supporters Of Elon Musk’s Twitter Crusade May Be Disappointed In The Long Run

… He may disappoint many of the people now cheering him on. It’s probably inevitable. Things will happen that will force him to make hard-headed business decisions instead of keeping his focus on altruistic interests and philanthropic motives. What those might be we can’t predict but suspect they’ll probably involve the threat of government regulation or intimidation.

Makes sense to gear down expectations.
