Threat to Canadian electric vehicle industry dissipates with U.S. Senate deal

A deal struck among Democrats in the U.S. Senate appears to have eliminated a threat hanging over the nascent electric vehicle manufacturing industry in Canada.

An agreement announced late Wednesday between Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia gives the Democrats the votes they need to pass a key plank of U.S. President Joe Biden’s legislative agenda.

The deal would amend Mr. Biden’s climate and health bill and change the terms of tax credits for electric vehicles that as previously written would have only applied to autos assembled in the United States.

Big deal. The Climate Nazis will ensure not enough hydro is available to charge your electric car. Assuming they even allow you to own one.

Biden released an image on Twitter of him in the Oval Office on the phone with Xi.

China and the US: Whose Side Is the Administration On?

China this weekend, according to reports, privately delivered a message to US national security officials reinforcing an earlier Chinese Foreign Ministry statement: if US Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi goes ahead with her planned August visit to Taiwan, it would be met with a “resolute and strong measures.”

China’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Zhao Lijian stated on July 19 that the visit “would seriously undermine Chinese sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

Whistleblowers Accuse FBI Of ‘Padding’ Domestic Terrorism Stats To Play Up Threat: Report

FBI officials are allegedly pressuring agents to reclassify cases as “domestic violent extremism,” despite weak evidence that the cases belong in such a category.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, said in a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray on Wednesday that whistleblowers at the FBI say the bureau is “padding domestic terrorism data” to make the threat seem larger than it is. The bureau is misclassifying cases as due to Domestic Violent Extremists (DVEs) to support an administration “narrative” about the threat presented by DVEs, Jordan said.

The FBI sounds more and more like the SPLC and the ADL – The ADL’s extremism statistics make it seem like ultraright-wing violence in the US is more common than it actually is

Congress considering rescinding Medals of Honor for soldiers that participated in Wounded Knee Massacre

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – Lawmakers might soon strip some U.S. soldiers from the nineteenth century of the nation’s highest military award.

Earlier this month, the House of Representatives passed a defense bill that included an amendment to revoke the Medal of Honor from some 20 soldiers who took part in the massacre near Wounded Knee Creek in South Dakota in 1890. Mandan-Hidatsa-Arikara Nation Chairman Mark Fox says he’s happy with those who advanced the legislation.

Biden Regime Beginning Program To Give Amnesty-Lite To Illegal Aliens

The Biden Regime has announced another amnesty program for illegal aliens; likely this is the start of a full amnesty for all illegal aliens. This new amnesty involves issuing an identification card, first to all illegal aliens currently in removal proceedings, but the intent is clear that eventually all illegal aliens will be issued this amnesty-lite card. The program appears to be based on the Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals (DACA), amnesty where a subset of illegal aliens was just given an amnesty-lite status: employment authorization, protection from deportation, ability to travel on commercial aircraft, and the ability to access all the breeder government documents necessary to remain in the United States equivalent to being a Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR). The only thing missing will be a real legal status in the United States. Like DACA, the plan is to make it a fait accompli, and dare the Republicans to end the program after the mid-term elections. Under DACA, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) used the vehicle of Form I-765, Employment Authorization Document (EAD), as the basis for the amnesty. As with Form I-765, an alien receives authorization to work, and de facto welfare, access to commercial aviation, state driver’s licenses, Social Security cards, and other government benefits. It is the functional equivalent of a green card.

Tlaib Campaign Events Were Organized by Accused Jihad Financiers

What did you expect?

Imagine if a sitting member of the House of Representatives had had campaign events organized by alleged financiers of the Ku Klux Klan. He or she would already have resigned in disgrace. But Rashida Tlaib won’t even be asked about this: the Washington Examiner reported Monday that “two men who held key positions at nonprofit groups that were found liable in a Hamas terror financing scheme helped organize campaign fundraising events for Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) in 2018.” Really, is anyone surprised? This is what Michigan’s 13th congressional district elected that year and reelected in 2020. This is, apparently, what Michigan’s 13th congressional district wants.

So-Called ‘Canadian’ was ‘prolific propagandist’ in ISIS, U.S. prosecutors say

U.S. prosecutors are seeking a life sentence for a Canadian they call one of the “most prolific propagandists” in the so-called Islamic State.

In materials filed in court ahead of his sentencing hearing, prosecutors said Mohammed Khalifa was a “formidable figure within ISIS.”

Not only did he produce gory videos used by ISIS to incite attacks and recruit, but he also executed two Syrian soldiers, the U.S. Attorney’s Office wrote.

‘Here for bad optics’: So-called ‘Nazis’ at TPUSA event seen as ‘Fed Op,’ group quick to split when confronted

A group of self-proclaimed Nazis appeared outside Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit conference this weekend in Tampa, but critics say all the evidence points to them once again having been Democrats in disguise.

Some of the evidence was provided by Tayler Hansen, a field reporter with the conservative outlet Next News Network.

When Hansen asked the Nazis why they’d shown up together, they feigned ignorance and acted as if they’d each come out there individually.

China wanted to build 70ft pagoda in ‘perfect spying spot’ near US Capitol

FBI investigators say they have seen a “dramatic escalation” of Chinese espionage and claim Huawei technology ‘threat to national security’

China wanted to build a 70ft pagoda on a hill close to the Capitol in Washington DC but was stopped amid fears the “perfect spot” could be used to spy on the US government, according to leaked FBI documents.

Beijing had also reportedly been attempting to snoop on US military and government facilities using the cover of Huawei installations, according to CNN, which first published the story.

“Where are America’s Jewish Leaders?” on Islamist Antisemitism

“… You can imagine we, who found this out, were pretty upset,” Jacobs said, so he called an “emergency meeting” with the “Jewish leadership in Boston,” including the Anti-Defamation League, the Jewish Federations, and the American Jewish Committee. APT showed them indisputable evidence from the ISBCC’s 2004 website, including a “how to beat your wife panel” that advised men to “hang up the whip where members of your household can see it.” Should your wife displease you, eventually you can “beat her on the ankles, then on the legs,” and so on. Although Boston’s Jewish leadership “has to be the most pro-feminist bunch of people that you’ve ever met,” this “didn’t faze them.”

Jacobs also showed the leaders checks from the mosque to terror organizations, and from those organizations back to the mosque. “Nothing helped,” he said, as the leaders decided to “give [the Islamists] the benefit of the doubt” because “they’ll come to know us and like us . . . because we’re likable.” Jacobs said he “begged the leaders” to “go tell the mayor of Boston what we know,” and to “go show them what the FBI says about these people.”

It’s damn near comical. And entirely applicable to Canada save for a few recent moments of clarity.

Pentagon Urged to End Witch Hunt for ‘Extremists’ in the Ranks

The Senate Armed Services Committee issued a report urging the Pentagon to halt its fruitless hunt for “extremists” in the ranks. The report, accompanying the Senate’s National Defense Authorization Act, states that “spending additional time and resources to combat exceptionally rare instances of extremism in the military is an inappropriate use of taxpayer funds, and should be discontinued by the Department of Defense immediately.”
