Nearly 6 Million Census Respondents Marked Their Ethnicity as ‘Canadian,’ StatCan Finds … RCMP investigating possible hate crime

Nearly 6 million respondents to Canada’s “2021 Census of Population” marked their ethnicity or cultural origins as “Canadian,” making it the most named of any ethnicity by census users, according to Statistics Canada figures released on May 10.

Question 23 on Canada’s last long-form census asked respondents to identify the “ethnic or cultural origins” of their ancestors—to which just under 5.7 million individuals replied “Canadian,” as first reported by Blacklock’s Reporter.

Parents of Ontario Catholic Student Vocal About Gender Beliefs Suspended From Teaching Jobs

Grade 11 student Josh Alexander of Renfrew, Ont., has received international attention for an ongoing struggle with his Catholic school board over his belief that God made only two genders. His parents, who are teachers in a separate board, have recently been put on leave and are under investigation. They suspect it’s because of the attention their son has gotten.

“From the beginning, I understood the consequences my actions may have and I was willing to take that stand and face the consequences,” Alexander told The Epoch Times. “But I must admit, I’m pretty disappointed to see that since they haven’t been able to get to me, they’re now attacking my family.”

DEI Swallows Texas A&M

The university has adopted radical politics in order to “dismantle systemic racism.”

Texas A&M is a systematically racist institution. According to whom? According to the leadership of Texas A&M.

In recent years, the College Station-based public university, originally founded with a focus on agriculture and engineering, has built a vast “diversity, equity, and inclusion” bureaucracy that has adopted the narrative of left-wing racialism, segregated students by race, and told colleagues to “stop centering whiteness.”

Costly World Cup deal with MLSE never ‘made known’ to councillors, mayor: report

A so-called sweetheart deal that will see taxpayers foot the bill for cost overruns related to Toronto’s 2026 FIFA World Cup games was not “made known” to the city’s elected officials before it was signed, according to a new report.

A letter written by the City Manager confirmed Tuesday that the deal with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE), which would see the city assume financial risk for the event, did not need council’s approval — and was binding.

“I think we’re a little worried that we might be on the hook for a fair amount of money here,” Councillor Paula Fletcher told CTV Toronto Tuesday. “If there’s cost overruns…MLSE doesn’t pay.”

This is gross negligence. The deal should be torn up.

The city is in a precarious financial situation and I see no benefit to lining the pockets of the wealthy with tax payer funds.

Canada is not considered a serious ally and was never invited to join AUKUS defence pact

Canada was left out of the trilateral defence and security pact known as AUKUS — and a new report by a respected American think-tank says Ottawa must overcome its apparent indifference to the deal or risk being left behind by its allies.

… “The glacial pace at which Canada appears to be adapting to the realities of modern great power competition has left it far behind the curve, with consequences for both Ottawa’s reputation among its allies and its ability to protect Canadian territory, sovereignty, and contribute to global peace and stability,” said the report, which probed the reasons why Canada was left out of AUKUS.

“The simple answer is that Ottawa was apparently not invited.”
