Hundreds of girls sexually abused in Telford

More than a thousand children were sexually exploited over at least 30 years in Telford amid “shocking” police and council failings, an inquiry has found.

Unnecessary suffering and child deaths might have been avoided had West Mercia police “done its most basic job”, according to findings published yesterday.

The inquiry found that child sexual exploitation “thrived” for decades in the Shropshire town, in part because of fears that investigations into Asian men would “inflame racial tensions”.

RCMP pauses billing to local governments, provinces as salaries soar

The federal government says it won’t bill provinces and municipalities for the retroactive portion of Mountie salaries while it considers whether to help shoulder some of the burden of a steep pay-raise package.

The RCMP union negotiated its first contract with the Treasury Board last August and gained significant wage increases for its members, prompting some mayors and town councillors to say that because of the heightened costs, they could no longer afford their police.

Costs for the nearly 20,000 RCMP officers are shared between federal, provincial and municipal governments.

Trudeau Defends Being An Absolute F*&KING Hypocrite On Russian Sanctions

Trudeau defends two-year deal to repair Russian pipeline turbines despite sanctions on Moscow

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is defending the Canadian government’s recent agreement to import and repair Russian pipeline turbines for up to two years, calling it “a very difficult decision.”

He said Canada ultimately decided to circumvent its own sanctions against Russia because it did not want punitive rules aimed at Russian President Vladimir Putin’s administration to contribute to the energy crisis in Europe and end up hurting natural gas consumers in countries such as Germany.

I think Trudeau’s real motivation and cause for concern lies with events in Sri Lanka and the Netherlands. Trudeau and other of Ukraine’s so-called allies have used the Russian aggression to advance their ruinous green agendas.

Germany is critical to the anti-Russian alliance. Trudeau and Germany are committed to the same policies i.e. “organic” farming that helped ruin Sri Lanka’s economy and now threaten Dutch farmers. If the Germans start rioting because they’re freezing this winter all their green-scam plans will be scuppered along with the alliance and their pretend sanctions.

So the gas has gotta flow to keep Germany in on the green-scam lest the remaining nations fall like dominos. 

And Ukraine be damned because Russia needs the gas revenue to finance the war.

China crushes mass protest by bank depositors demanding their life savings back

Chinese authorities on Sunday violently dispersed a peaceful protest by hundreds of depositors, who sought in vain to demand their life savings back from banks that have run into a deepening cash crisis.

Since April, four rural banks in China’s central Henan province have frozen millions of dollars worth of deposits, threatening the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of customers in an economy already battered by draconian Covid lockdowns.

In a minivan driving from the EU border to Lviv, a U.S.-educated Ukrainian quizzed me about my family. My wife, I told him, was brought up in Siberia but born in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, then part of the Soviet Union.

“So, she’s Ukrainian,” he advised me.

The man was in his mid-20s, perhaps, and spoke rapid-fire English. I’d met him in an “International Legion” tent on the border that offered — with a sign translated into 12 languages — help to foreigners volunteering to fight the Russian advance, a sensitive role that made him an obvious target for Russian spooks.

Good for Dutch farmers for fighting back against a gov’t bowing to enviro-radicals

“Zijn er ook boeren?” shouted Mick Jagger, in Dutch, into the microphone at a Rolling Stones concert in the Netherlands last week. “Are there any farmers in the house?”

Dutch farmers make for an unlikely cause célèbre. For starters, most are conservative, not liberal. And they are fighting against stricter environmental regulations, not for them.

We need this in Canada.

Last week marked the 246th birthday of the United States. This year also marks, according to Lieutenant General Thomas Spoehr of the Heritage Foundation, when we “question the sustainability of the all-volunteer force.” As reported in late June by NBC, all branches of the military are falling short of their 2022 recruiting goals.

The Army, for instance, has met only 40 percent of its enlisted recruitment target for the fiscal year, which for the military services ends on September 30. Those in the Pentagon tasked with attracting candidates have listed reasons they are struggling to meet their mission: lack of eligibility, Covid restrictions putting a damper on outreach, competition from a robust civilian employment market, and a lack of a desire to serve.

The same holds true in Canada. Trudeau’s Liberals have turned the armed forces into a sick joke.

A sex worker in Nova Scotia is pursuing a claim for non-payment of services in small claims court, in a case she and her advocates will help shift the conversation about sex work in Canada.

The woman at the centre of the case said she spent an evening with a client in January 2022. Afterwards, she realized she wasn’t going to be paid when the PIN for the bank card he’d given her to withdraw money didn’t work.
