Dairy cartel seeks 2nd milk price hike this year, citing inflation

Milk prices in Canada could be going up for the second time in a year following a rare request by Dairy Farmers of Canada for a mid-year price hike due to inflation.

The industry lobby group says Canadian dairy farmers are grappling with never-before-seen price increases on goods and services they need to produce milk.

Yet industry observers say people can’t afford another price hike.

Russia targets western-supplied tanks in first Kyiv airstrikes for five weeks

Russia launched airstrikes on Kyiv for the first time in five weeks on Sunday, claiming it had destroyed western-supplied tanks – while the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, warned more targets would be struck if weapons deliveries continued.

Several explosions were heard around the eastern Kyiv suburbs of Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi early on Sunday morning, wounding one person. The strikes represented a change of tack on the part of the invading forces.

Russia’s ministry of defence said the strikes had destroyed T-72 tanks that had been provided to Ukraine by European countries that were being stored in the buildings of a car repair business, although the claim could not immediately be verified.

I hope the Ukraine kicks butt, I hope they win. I support supplying military aid and helping their refugees but I wonder if they are are being sacrificed for ulterior motives. It is unseemly that Freeland throws herself at Russian oligarchs while our allies continue to buy Russian oil and gas. Now we have Macron warning we mustn’t “humiliate” Putin. The French are such sophisticated surrenderists we yobs from the hinterlands should heed his counsel.

You’re either at war or you’re not. Ukraine seems more like a live expo for weapons manufacturers. Is there an end in sight? Under what terms?

What the federal Tories can learn from Doug Ford’s big Ontario win

Federal Conservatives could learn some lessons from how Doug Ford led the Progressive Conservatives to re-election in Ontario last week, but they may not be able to replicate his playbook, election analysts say.

“I think there are lessons, particularly in the [Greater Toronto Area] for the federal Conservatives to learn,” said Duane Bratt, a political science professor at Mount Royal University in Calgary.

“After all, Ford won a hell of a lot of seats in Toronto and in the GTA, something that the federal Conservatives haven’t been able to do in multiple election cycles.”

In a nutshell, support crap like CRT in classrooms and open borders and don’t forget to suck up to the public service unions. And never forget to ask the CBC for guidance. I believe the CPC is up to the task.

Who Really Killed Seth Rich?

With last week’s testimony of Robby Mook (Clinton Campaign Chair) at the Michael Sussmann trial, Hillary Clinton is toast whether Sussmann is convicted or not. The Russian Collusion narrative now should be dead and buried. Real Clear Politics has an excellent summary of the collusion and conspiracy of the players now exposed, including the Clinton campaign that perpetuated the Russian Collusion narrative.

With this new information and the demise of the Russian Collusion narrative, it’s time for a new look at the untimely death of Seth Rich. If the Russians did not hack the DNC server, who did? There was damaging information to the Clinton campaign in this alleged hack. Julian Assange did have information that he later published. However, Assange continues to say it was not the Russians that gave him the data. As Cashill writes, Wikileaks offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Rich’s killer. The damage control by the Clinton campaign was to blame the hack on the Russian Collusion narrative. Was this a disinformation operation by our spooks – CIA Director John Brennan and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper et. al.?

Trudeau Government “Reminds Me Of Islamic Republic” Says Iranian Refugee

“It is not just the government that reminds me of the Islamic Republic. The current state of the legacy media, paid for by Justin Trudeau, is just as bad as anything I saw in Iran, arguably worse.”

“If I hadn’t seen the truth with my own eyes while on the ground here in Ottawa I would not be able to believe the level of lies and fake news being spread.”

School Districts Receiving Training On How To Conceal Gender Identity From Parents Of Special Needs Children

Just when you think these people can’t go any lower, stories like this surface. Gender LCGB has a Substack that reports on the schools of various Southern California districts. It includes stories about progressives who are integrating gender, race and sexuality ideology into K-12 education.

In the piece, I explained how public school teachers in Ventura County were receiving training from a law firm on how to ensure that the parents of children dealing with gender dysphoria are not informed of their kids’ issues. Gender LCGB now has more shocking information.

As it turns out, this law firm has given multiple presentations of its webinar, which is titled “My Name Is…A Legal and Practical Framework for Affirming Students’ Identities in their Records and in the School Setting.” Fagen Friedman, & Fulfrost LLP (F3), the law firm in question, was making sure teachers were “trained to implement gender ideology interventions – behavioral transition, social transition, ideology indoctrination – without notifying parents,” according to the report.

Top newspaper tells Trudeau: Stop the COVID theater

Arguing COVID-19 “has receded to the background of our lives,” one of Canada’s largest newspapers is calling on Prime Minister Justin to stop the “COVID theatre” after his government renewed pandemic restrictions this week.

The virus, argued the Toronto Sun editorial board, is “now being managed” among the populace “like any other similar respiratory illness.

“So why is Prime Minister Justin Trudeau digging in his heels when it comes to keeping some pandemic measures?”

On Wednesday, as the Trudeau Liberal Party government renewed a number of pandemic era rules, Trudeau insisted the “reality is, as much as people would like to pretend we’re not, we’re still in a pandemic.”

Dual, Triple Citizenship MP’s Shaping Canada’s Political Destiny

Stéphanie Plante from the University of Ottawa’s Centre for Research on Citizenship and Minorities explains how this makes sense for Canada:

“It’s kind of this idea that your patriotism is determined by where you were born,” she said. “I like to think that as Canadians, we’re really past that.”

What’s Going On With The Unmarked Graves In Canada?

On May 27th the one-year anniversary of Chief Rosanne Casimir’s press release announcing that the remains of 215 children, some as young as three years old, had been found by ground-penetrating radar (GPR) in the apple orchard at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School, the New York Post published an article entitled, ‘Biggest fake news story in Canada’: Kamloops mass grave debunked by academics.

Pierre Poilievre Campaign Unveils Stunning Number Of Memberships

Over 311,000 memberships sold more than doubles the figure claimed by the Patrick Brown campaign. And the Jean Charest campaign won’t even reveal a number.

10 Cases in Past Year Where Law-Abiding Defenders “Have Stopped Likely Mass Public Shootings” With Guns

You can see the list from the Crime Prevention Research Center; it goes back more than a year, but I counted the incidents just since June 4, 2021. The list is supported by links to media coverage of each incident, so you needn’t trust and can instead verify. I checked a few and they seem to check out, though of course there’s always the possibility of error in news coverage (plus of course there’s no reason to think that the list is complete, since there may well have been such incidents that weren’t covered in the news in a way that would come up on the Center’s searches).

Climate Madness: British Startup Releases Masks For Cows

It sounds like a belated April Fool’s joke: On May 24, 2022, the online portal Agrarheute reported that the British startup ZELP ( Zero Emissions Livestock Project ) had developed masks for cows. In this case, however, not to protect them from Corona, but to filter methane.

Don’t ‘Discriminate’ Against Sex Offenders, Adelphi University Says

Neither New York state law, nor federal law, defines sex offenders as a protected minority group, the way racial minorities are. But some academics have argued that it is racist to discriminate against sex offenders, because convicted sex offenders are disproportionately from communities of color.

Muslim Leaders to Leftists: Hey, Stop Comparing Pro-Lifers to the Taliban, It Makes the Taliban Look Bad

When the news first broke about the Supreme Court leak and the possibility that the court might actually overturn Roe v. Wade, Leftists were quick to liken pro-lifers to the Taliban, eager for the chance to oppress women by outlawing murder in the womb. “It is a bit amazing,” said The Daily Show. “After all these years of the right screaming about the threat of Sharia law, it turns out they were just jealous.” Mia Farrow tweeted (and then deleted) that Republicans would “be happy to impose Sharia laws.” One Twitter user summed it up: “Abortion is illegal. Religion taught in schools. Rejection of Gay Marriage. Press is the enemy of the people. No separation of Church and State. Political leaders worshiped. Rejection of science. Rejection of vaccines. Republican or Taliban? They look the same to me.” But now Muslim leaders in the U.S. are crying foul: as they see it, all these comparisons to Republicans are giving Sharia a bad name.

Is the U.S. Ready to Escalate Technological Competition with China?

In a major speech last week, Secretary of State Antony Blinken elaborated on the Biden administration’s emerging China policy. During those remarks, Blinken explained how U.S. policy will focus on efforts to “shape the strategic environment around Beijing.” That is, to compete with—rather than directly confront—China across the economic, diplomatic, military, and technological landscape over the next decade.
