A new Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday shows just 38 percent of Americans approve of the job Biden is doing, down from 42 percent in the same poll three weeks ago and 50 percent approval in mid-February.
BS. It’s half that.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

Sunni v Shia civil war.

It’s easy to go along with the trendy viewpoints when it seems like ‘others’ will deal with the cost. Now, that cost is going to hit all of us.

Joe Biden’s pitch to the American people in 2020 hinged on the simple fact that he was not Trump. Moreover, his election would reverse the previous four years of caustic division that had defined the Trump era.
“On this January day, my whole soul is in this: bringing America together. Uniting our people. And uniting our nation. I ask every American to join me in this cause … I pledge this to you: I will be a president for all Americans, and I promise you I will fight as hard for those who didn’t support me as those who did,” he promised in his inauguration speech.
We would become one America again.
Biden’s brand of unity, however, seems to demand the suppression of dissent.

All physicians, staff and learners at the Kingston, Ont. research and teaching hospital were required to provide proof of having received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, or a documented medical reason for not being vaccinated, by Sept. 21. Under the policy, all staff are required to be fully vaccinated by Oct. 22.

The Ministry of Health said since July, it has encouraged all doctors to resume seeing both kids and adults in person.
While August is usually SickKids emergency department’s quietest month, so far this year it’s the busiest with close to 6,000 patients — 40 per cent more than the same month last year, and 15 per cent more than in 2019, said division head Dr. Jason Fischer.
The hospital has also noticed an increase in patients with less serious or “low acuity” illnesses.

ESPN has suspended right-leaning host Sage Steele after she made what the sports network described as “controversial” comments about former President Barack Obama and the network’s vaccine mandate.

Startling testimony delivered this week by a former Facebook employee should spur Ottawa to rein in the social media giant with tougher and more comprehensive regulations, say technology experts and people fighting against online hate.
In Canada, many medical students aren’t taught specifically how best to treat Black patients and how to keep anti-Black racism out of health care — with patients suffering the consequences.
Now, a collaboration of prominent Canadian Black health researchers are coming together to change that, aiming to create the first health primer of its kind to educate health care providers and ultimately improve care for Black Canadians.
The first COVID-19 vaccine for kids under 12 could be in front of Health Canada’s review team in just days and the company expects to start shipping its new pediatric formulation of the vaccine shortly after it gets the green light.

Politicians and the legacy media should be able to know the real name and physical location of every individual who posts any negative comment about them on any online platform, said CNN’s Don Lemon on Tuesday night. He added that social media platforms should only allow people to post their “opinion” if it is “true.”
Twitter announced Wednesday it is testing a feature that will alert users that a conversation could be “heated” or “intense.” In a tweet, the company described the experiment as “a work in progress as we learn how to better support healthy conversation.”
In the years running up to the 2020 election, I posited that the Democrat Party was doing all it could to keep their mob angry, but only to a certain point. They wanted their base simmering, just short of a boil, but ready at a moment’s notice to goose step off to action wherever needed. It was a delicate line they walked, they needed people mad without inspiring violence that could be blamed on them, they had to avoid creating another James Hodgkinson. Now their objective has changed…slightly. Democrats appear to be doing all they can to provoke violence against their own. Anything, absolutely anything, for the cause.

I’m going to try to explain what’s going on in America right now by drawing a connection between two news stories. On the surface, they don’t seem to have much to do with each other, but when you really think about them, it’s obvious that there’s a common thread.
“Every nation that has survived has had borders that were defensible and clear, and the idea was that they have their own space to inculcate their language or traditions or customs, then enhance their constitution. Without that, it’s just short of a migratory, 5th century A.D. Rome where people come across the Danube River and destroy the nation-state.”

Every sneer, jibe and insult only makes it stronger
There was something almost quaint about America in 1993. The Internet was barely out of the cot; the Cold War was over; Kurt Cobain was alive; and Bill Clinton was still viewed as a faithful husband. Even the Israel-Palestine conflict looked fixable.

The agency will create two new mission centers, one focused on China, the other focused on emerging technology, climate change and global health.
WASHINGTON — The C.I.A. will embark on a reorganization intended to focus more on China, the agency’s director announced on Thursday.
At the heart of the effort will be a new China Mission Center meant to bring more resources to studying the country and better position officers around the world to collect information and analyze China’s activities.
The new center “will further strengthen our collective work on the most important geopolitical threat we face in the 21st Century, an increasingly adversarial Chinese government,” William J. Burns, the agency’s director, said in a statement.
Climate change? I’m not feeling safer for some reason.

What Rep. Cori Bush’s racist defense of a black man’s killer tells us about power.
On a cold day in a Missouri winter, Mary Bratcher never came home to the trailer park where the single mother lived with her three children. She was working that night as a manager at a Casey’s General Store in Columbia helping out Mable Scruggs, another single mother, making ends meet by picking up a night shift. Neither of the two women would make it home again.
