TORONTO — Canada’s largest banks are the latest industry to announce mandatory vaccine policies this week, following the government’s announcement that federally regulated industries will require staff to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Ottawa’s vaccine mandate has been met with mixed reviews by the public, with some feeling that workplace safety is better served if all employees are vaccinated and others decrying the perceived infringement on personal rights.

Others were concerned about accommodations provided for those who cannot get a COVID-19 vaccine due to medical reasons.

Alabama doctor pledges to stop treating unvaccinated patients

Valentine planned on mailing a letter to his patients about his decision. He posted the letter online, the newspaper reported.

“We do not yet have any great treatments for severe disease, but we do have great prevention with vaccines. Unfortunately, many have declined to take the vaccine, and some end up severely ill or dead. I cannot and will not force anyone to take the vaccine, but I also cannot continue to watch my patients suffer and die from an eminently preventable disease,” the letter stated, according to the newspaper. “Therefore, as of October 1st, 2021, I will no longer see patients that have not been vaccinated against COVID-19. If you wish to keep me as your physician, documentation of your vaccination will suffice. If you wish to choose another physician, we will be happy to transfer your records.”

This lying bastard needs to have his license revoked.

American stranded in Kabul describes trying, and failing, to get into the airport

One of the most insightful reports I’ve seen about the state of evacuation outside of a Clarissa Ward segment on CNN. David Fox works in Kabul, is married to an Afghan woman, and has a young son with her. One would think that would make them a priority for evacuation, but there’s a problem: The crowding outside Karzai International Airport is so chaotic that they simply can’t get to a gate to make contact with troops or diplomats within.

Biden Ensures States, Cities Have No Veto Power Over Afghan Refugees

President Joe Biden’s administration may balloon the number of Afghans set to be resettled across the United States following the withdrawal of U.S. Armed Forces from Afghanistan.

Days ago, Pentagon officials stated up to 22,000 Afghans — mostly applying for Special Immigrant Visas (SIVs) and the newly-created P-2 visa — would be arriving at three military bases: Fort Lee in Virginia, Fort Bliss in Texas, and Fort McCoy in Wisconsin.

On Thursday, though, refugee resettlement agencies told the Washington Post the number of Afghans “seeking evacuation through a U.S. visa program” is closer to 100,000 and could be as high as 300,000.

ABC News has been accused of editing its Wednesday night interview with Joe Biden to flatter the president, removing mumbled statements and lapses of memory.

Biden’s interview with George Stephanopoulos was criticized for his claim that the chaos in Afghanistan this week was inevitable.

But on Thursday, when the full transcript was published by ABC, it emerged that chunks of it were edited out.

A training video for student employees at James Madison University portrays people who are male, straight, cisgender, or Christian as ‘oppressors’.

These so-called dominant ‘oppressors’ are considered a threat to submissive groups of different races, genders, sexualities and religions, according to the video.

Jihadist attack in Burkina Faso kills 80 people

Burkina Faso’s president has declared three days of national mourning after suspected jihadists killed 80 people, including 59 civilians, in an attack in the north of the country.

The attack was the latest bloodshed in an area with high levels of Islamist violence.

The assault on Wednesday near the town of Gorgadji also left six pro-government militiamen and 15 military police dead, the government and the military said on Thursday. The initial death toll was put at 47 on Wednesday.

SHOCKA! FBI finds scant evidence U.S. Capitol attack was coordinated – sources

WASHINGTON, Aug 20 (Reuters) – The FBI has found scant evidence that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was the result of an organized plot to overturn the presidential election result, according to four current and former law enforcement officials.

Though federal officials have arrested more than 570 alleged participants, the FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump, according to the sources, who have been either directly involved in or briefed regularly on the wide-ranging investigations.
