The Heart of Whiteness: The Left’s journey toward racial purification.

“Even though white is often associated with things, that are pleasant and pure, there is a peculiar emptiness about the color white. It is the emptiness of the white that is more disturbing than even the bloodiness of red.” – Moby-Dick or, the Whale, Herman Melville.

It’s all Melville’s fault. Blame it all on him. It’s all right there in Chapter 42 in his seminal novel against all things white, Moby Dick, like an extended forefinger wagging accusingly in your face.

Christian Speakers’ Corner stabbing victim says she is “regularly attacked by a Muslim mob”

Hatun Tash, the woman slashed in the face at Speakers’ Corner on Sunday, claims the iconic location on the edge of Hyde Park has become the very opposite of a free debating space as the Christian preacher has found herself facing down the “Muslim mob”.

Tash, a 39-year-old Christian convert from Islam having moved to the UK from Turkey eight years ago told the Times: “In my early days, Speakers’ Corner was a much calmer place. Now it is not and I am regularly attacked by a Muslim mob.

“We don’t live in Pakistan, we don’t live in Saudi Arabia. I am Christian and by default, I believe that Muhammad is a false prophet. I should be allowed to say that in the UK,” she added.

Red Sun Rising

There has been a chilling avatar in the sky here in Boston and all along the northern swath of the U.S.. The midday sun has been turned red and the sky filled with a foul haze due to the huge wild fires out west. They (you know who they are) try to blame it on climate change whereas the real cause is the ignorant, emotionally infantile management of forestry that has held sway as Progressives have assumed the arrogant position that they can control everything – including nature. They have put out and suppressed the small brush fires so long that there is now enough fuel built up to incinerate the trees and the soil itself. This is the perfect metaphor for what is happening to our politics. The whole January 6th inquisition and the destruction of civic order and republican balance of the last year are burning off the very soil in which the republic is rooted. There is indeed a red sun rising.

Forget about driving across the U.S. border this summer — Joe Biden has bigger problems than yours to deal with

WASHINGTON—If you have family in the U.S. you’ve been hoping to drive to see, if you own a cottage across the border you’re waiting to visit, if you’ve been holding your vacation planning thinking a road trip to New York City or New England might still be in the cards this summer, there’s bad news. The reopening of the U.S. land border to Canadian travellers is likely a good way off.

We already learned last week that the U.S. wasn’t co-ordinating its border reopening with Canada’s Aug. 9 welcoming of vaccinated American citizens, to the tremendous surprise of many expert observers. But when the Joe Biden White House confirmed Monday it is no longer planning to lift international travel restrictions in the near future over concerns about the spread of the Delta variant, it was a pretty clear sign that the thinking in U.S. government is no longer about how to return to normal, but how to stave off disaster.

Anti-anti-crime policies are ruining American cities

Let’s get the myths out of the way: COVID wasn’t the main driver behind the recent crime surge

I didn’t meet Davell Gardner Jr. Yet his photo — and the bubbly personality it captures — will forever remain etched in my mind. The picture shows a baby with fuzzy curls; trusting, happy eyes; a beaming, gap-toothed smile. His chubby, loaf-like baby hands remind me of my own kids’ hands, which I often can’t help kissing or blowing raspberries on. There he is, crawling on his dad’s belly, enjoying one of the last playtimes of his life.

Joe Oliver: Liberals just don’t get it when it comes to Alberta

Alberta has a strong case for reform of equalization policy and more generally of its treatment in Confederation. Inequitable equalization payments are typical of Alberta’s status as an exploited cash cow and of the indifference and even disdain it is subjected to by a powerful Laurentian elite, progressive mainstream media and the reigning Liberal party. Central and Eastern Canadians should pay close attention — if they care about national unity and economic growth.

Canadian Church-Hate Comes for Coptic Christians

A Coptic Christian church was recently burned to the ground—not in Egypt, where the torching of Coptic churches is not an uncommon occurrence, but in Canada, also known as “the church-burning centre of the Western world.”

In the early morning hours of July 19, St. George Coptic Orthodox Church in Surrey, which served 500 families and provided food for the homeless, was set aflame and completely destroyed. Only one charred wall remains standing.

Fall election likely as Trudeau bets big on COVID-19 rebound, reopening: sources

Canada’s Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is poised to trigger a snap election two years ahead of schedule, betting that high COVID-19 vaccination rates and a post-pandemic rebound will help him prolong and strengthen his grip on power.

Trudeau, 49, is eyeing September for what would be his third election, sources said. He first won a majority in 2015. But in a federal vote two years ago, after decades-old blackface pictures surfaced, Trudeau came up short of a majority, forcing him to depend on opposition parties to pass legislation.

Wait till more Canadians realize that Mixy-Matchy vaccines aren’t recognized outside of Canada.

No, the Second Amendment Isn’t Racist

Growing up in a decidedly left-wing household, I was lectured on a regular basis about the dangers and evils of firearms and the horrible kinds of people who own them. This despite the fact that my father kept a .22 rifle hidden in the basement. Granted, a .22 does not pack the firepower of most other guns, but on rare occasions when he thought he could get away with it, my dad would take me out plinking with the admonition that I keep it on the sly, since my mother would have, shall we say, “registered her disapproval.” Very adamantly.

The Mythological White Supremacist

The Mythological White Supremacist

The New York Times is extremely concerned about William Regnery II.

We at The American Spectator call it Kultursmog, and it is the only kind of smog of which our friends on the left approve. Actually, they not only approve of Kultursmog, but they contribute to it. Kultursmog is that aspect of American culture that is utterly politicized, and it is politicized by the politics of the left. Its leading centers of pollution are Hollywood, California, New York City, Washington, D.C., and increasingly Silicon Valley…

New EU Alert: Having A Sense Of Humor Is Proof You Might Be A Far-Right Terrorist

The European Union (EU) released a non-satirical report this week offering that humor, including the sharing of memes, could be a sign your peer is a “far-right extremist.”

In partnership with the Radicalisation Awareness Network, an EU-funded group involved with “countering violent extremism” through “surveillance and security,” the European Commission published an 18-page report titled “It’s not funny anymore. Far-right extremists’ use of humour.”
