Today, June 17, China launched a three-astronaut crew who will inhabit the command module of its soon-to-be-completed Tianhe Chinese Space Station. This planned human launch follows the June 10 multiple satellite deployment from Northern China’s Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center. One of these satellites is designed to track near-earth asteroids.

‘We reiterate that the mob attacks on American Jews today are directly attributable to the rhetoric of Rep. Omar and those who stand with her within and beyond Congress,’ the letter, obtained by Fox News, read.
‘To protect Jewish Americans and, moreover, safeguard the integrity of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, we thus insist upon the removal of Rep. Omar from her appointment,’ the rabbis, members of the Coalition of Jewish Values, wrote.

There’s growing evidence that Nickelodeon’s hard push to promote the LGBTQ agenda to children is having a negative impact on the network’s ratings.
In the last two weeks, both Nickelodeon and its preschool-targeted network, Nick Jr., have released videos championing “trans,” “queer,” and “pansexual” inclusion. One video that sparked mass outrage depicted a cartoon version of drag queen Nina West singing about various LGBTQIA groups “[loving] each other so proudly” on “Blues Clues and You,” a show for two- to five-year olds. That same video showed a female-to-male transgender beaver who appeared to have post-operative surgical scars on its chest.

The CBC’s decision to close comments for a month on news stories posted on its Facebook page is very much locking a stable door several years after the horses have left the vicinity, but still welcome.
Brodie Fenlon, CBC News editor-in-chief and executive director for daily news, has had the top job for just over a year. He’s proof that new editors bring new energy and can make tough decisions that reflect the world as it is, not as we wish it to be.
As it is, many of the public comments on CBC reporting have been fact-free, paranoid, obsessive and vicious. It is expensive to moderate these feeds, exhausting and upsetting for reporters to endure them year over year.

Ontario reports 370 new Covid cases … and the India variant rises
Ontario reported 370 more COVID-19 cases and seven additional deaths on Thursday, as test positivity hit it lowest level since early Oct. 2020.

The bill would make Juneteenth the 12th federal holiday. The holiday commemorated when the last enslaved Americans learned they were free – on June 19, 1865 – after Union soldiers brought news of the Emancipation Proclamation to Galveston, Texas, at the end of the First Civil War.
To commemorate this holiday, the descendants of slaves will bestow their praise and gratitude onto the descendants of the people who freed them, as well as pledging to be proud, patriotic US citizens.

Liberal Health Minister Patty Hajdu once again refused to hand over documents related to the firing of two scientists from a federal infectious disease lab in Winnipeg.
According to Blacklock’s Reporter, during a Canada-China Relations Committee meeting, Hajdu repeatedly refused to disclose information about the incident claiming that releasing the documents could harm Canada’s national security.
