In his investigation report, Dion stated that Trudeau — who apologized for not recusing himself from cabinet talks on the now-cancelled program — didn’t have a close relationship with the Kielburger brothers, while Morneau — who faced similar allegations — “placed himself in a conflict of interest on several occasions.”
If you’re even just a little bit like me, you must be looking out at America today and wondering ‘what in the world went wrong’ to transform our once mostly-sane and mostly-free nation into what is has become today, what Susan Duclos recently called the ‘terrifying changes’ happening to our nation every day with the total banishment of ‘common sense’ from large parts of the country.
How Trudeau’s failed border controls could keep Canada in lockdown until winter
If one in three people are exempt from quarantine, this is a major loophole in what Trudeau has claimed is a credible response to the danger of new infections and new variants of COVID-19 entering and then spreading within Canada. Another loophole that is being exploited to avoid hotel quarantine is to fly into the United States and then cross the land border. Remarkably no hotel quarantine is mandated when you arrive by land rather than by air, since for some reason federal authorities seem to believe that the virus is less transmissible if it crosses into Canada by road.
A Nazi Flag Is Flying in Canada, and It’s Not Coming Down
Two Hitler Youth flags were spotted flying on separate rural Alberta properties last week. One man has since removed the Hitler Youth symbol, while the other is letting his fly next to a Confederate flag.

124 Retired Generals and Admirals Warn U.S. in “Deep Peril” Under Biden
The letter was released by Flag Officers 4 America, and was signed by 124 retired “military officers entitled to carry a flag indicating their rank,” The Daily Caller noted.
It begins, “Our Nation is in deep peril. We are in a fight for our survival as a Constitutional Republic like no other time since our founding in 1776. The conflict is between supporters of Socialism and Marxism vs. supporters of Constitutional freedom and liberty.”
Committee to discuss proposal requiring California retailers to have gender-neutral children’s sections
The legislation, first introduced on Feb. 18, “would require a retail department store with 500 or more employees that sells childcare items, children’s clothing, or toys, to maintain a gender neutral section or area … in which a reasonable selection of the items, articles, and toys for children that it sells shall be displayed, regardless of whether they have been traditionally marketed for either girls or for boys,” according to a bill summary.
‘You guys are bad!’ Biden tells reporters ‘I’m not supposed to be answering all these questions’ after Psaki admitted she advises against him taking impromptu press queries
Biden’s comment comes a week after White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said that she advises Biden against taking impromptu questions from reporters.
A prestigious intergovernmental organization created by the world’s advanced economies is pointing out the bottleneck in the plans to substitute so-called green energy for hydrocarbon-based energy: the availability of key minerals necessary for battery storage, wind farms, solar panels, and other gizmos necessary for the switchover. Simply put: the world can’t provide the quantity of those minerals that would be necessary, and the environmental and social impact of trying to mine them in sufficient quantities would be devastating.
The cure, in other words, is worse than the disease.
… The Bible can be read for passages that appear to justify our impact upon the natural world. Most obviously there is the Biblical passage (Genesis 1:28), to which Kingsnorth alludes, where God says to Adam and Eve: “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Over-population, exploitation, habitat destruction and human arrogance. It’s all in there.
This is a story about Rebekah Jones, a former dashboard manager at the Florida Department of Health (FDOH), who has single-handedly managed to convince millions of Americans that Gov. Ron DeSantis has been fudging the state’s COVID-19 data.
When I write “single-handedly,” I mean it, for Jones is not one of the people who have advanced this conspiracy theory but rather is the person who has advanced this conspiracy theory. It has been repeated by others, sure: by partisans across the internet, by unscrupulous Florida Democrats such as Nikki Fried and Charlie Crist, and on television, by MSNBC in particular. But it flows from a single place: Rebekah Jones. To understand that is to understand the whole game. This is about Jones, and Jones alone. If she falls, it falls.
On his new Save America website, former President Trump stated the obvious that the elites wish us to overlook: “When I was in office we were known as the Peace Presidency, because Israel’s adversaries knew that the United States stood strongly with Israel and there would be swift retribution if Israel was attacked. Under Biden, the world is getting more violent and more unstable because Biden’s weakness and lack of support for Israel is leading to new attacks on our allies.”
French soldiers patrol in front of the Eiffel Tower on January 8, 2015 in Paris as the capital was placed under the highest alert status a day after heavily armed gunmen shouting Islamist slogans stormed French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo and shot dead at least 12 people in the deadliest attack in France in four decades. A huge manhunt for two brothers suspected of massacring 12 people in an Islamist attack at a satirical French weekly zeroed in on a northern town Thursday after the discovery of one of the getaway cars. As thousands of police tightened their net, the country marked a rare national day of mourning for Wednesday’s bloodbath at Charlie Hebdo magazine in Paris, the worst terrorist attack in France for half a century. French military personnel who signed another letter to President Emmanuel Macron warning him about a supposedly impending “civil war” should resign so they can voice their concerns freely, the Armed Forces chief of staff said.
Those among the French soldiers and officers who feel the urge to make public statements about the political situation in the country can find a perfect way to defend their opinions without compromising the neutrality of the army – by resigning, said Armed Forces Chief of Staff General Francois Lecointre.
To defeat this divisive ideology, we need to offer a positive post-racial alternative.
Suddenly everyone is talking about critical race theory (CRT). Its advocates demand that CRT inform the culture of higher education and the pedagogy practised in schools. CRT, they claim, illuminates virtually every area of life. Opponents of CRT, on the other hand, regard it as a threat to democratic life. And many of them are demanding that it be banned in public institutions.
Simmering internal discontent within Alberta Premier Jason Kenney’s United Conservative Party caucus has boiled over into an open challenge to his leadership.
Senior backbench member Todd Loewen, in a letter posted on Facebook early Thursday, called on Kenney to resign, saying he no longer has confidence in his leadership.
Loewen accuses Kenney and his government of weak dealings with Ottawa, ignoring caucus members, delivering contradictory messages, and botching critical issues such as negotiations with doctors and controversy over coal mining on the eastern slopes of the Rockies.
Two tree stumps signaled to Larry Pynn that something was wrong.
Jutting from a mossy forest floor in western Canada, the fresh stumps were the final remnants of two western red cedars that had been chopped down by chainsaw. Nearby, a set of deep tire tracks ran for nearly a kilometer in the mud before terminating at the main road.
“I immediately suspected that this is the work of poachers,” said Pynn, a journalist who lives nearby. “These are clearly valuable trees and they were likely cut because of that.”
When it comes to covering law enforcement issues, the American media should, in the words of fictional TV detective Joe Friday, stick to “just the facts, ma’am.” A new poll shows that the American public now believes a series of verifiable untruths propagated by some members of the media and activists.
The findings of the May 2021 TIPP Poll survey of 1300 American adults should dismay us all as to how misinformed about policing the public has become.
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has called for a “new vision” for the military even if no one, including him, can explain what it is. Austin has been touting something he calls “Integrated Deterrence” a buzzword that seems to involve AI, the State Department, and some sort of new way of war. But mostly it means that war is a silly idea and that no one should fight wars.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford has been consistent in his criticism of the Trudeau government for being lax at international borders, a federal jurisdiction. In a May 12 tweet, Ford shared a National Post story, which reports that almost a third of international air travellers are exempted from the three day “mandatory” hotel quarantine. Federal authorities did not provide a breakdown of the reasons for the exemptions, although in general they apply to essential workers, diplomats, and others whose need to cross borders is deemed essential by the federal government, in addition to exemptions made on humanitarian grounds.
The FBI knows that Jacob Travis Clark of Colorado was inside the prohibited environs of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 exactly from 2:15 p.m., the riot’s approximate start time, to 3:25 p.m.
