Defence Lawyer Says Crown Has No Grounds to Seize Freedom Convoy Organizer’s Truck ‘Big Red’

OTTAWA—A lawyer representing Freedom Convoy organizer Chris Barber argued in court that the Crown can’t seize Barber’s long-haul truck “Big Red,” as the property has been neither seized previously nor subject to a restraint order.

“This is a very strange thing that the Crown is trying to do. It makes no sense within the statutory scheme,” lawyer Brendan Miller said in an Ottawa court on Sept. 12.

There’s no denying the trans links to suspect in Charlie Kirk’s assassination

It wasn’t until Utah Gov. Spencer Cox spelled out the transgender links to the suspect in Charlie Kirk’s assassination that the New York Times and the rest of the Hate Media and their social media offshoots finally gave up the absurd nudge-nudge-wink-wink pretense that the killer was its favorite type of villain, a MAGA gun nut.

Nope, Tyler Robinson, 22, turns out to be a hard-core leftist, Antifa devotee and Kirk-hater who was living with his transgender boyfriend, identified as Lance Twiggs, 22, who stated, “We are riding with Biden” in a 2022 post on the social media platform Reddit.

WARMINGTON: TCDSB chair told to turn over items valued at $6,700 billed to taxpayers

Ontario’s minister of education is taking the Toronto Catholic District School Board chair to school Monday by asking him to return dozens of items that he has expensed to the taxpayer.

In fact, in a letter to Markus de Domenico, Ward 2 trustee, who is the TCDSB chair, Minister Paul Calandra detailed 61 items that his staff found in submitted expense forms that he would like to be turned back over to the school board, which at this time is under suspension while the Ford government reviews the system as it has been.

The Catholic school boards and the Catholic teacher’s unions are often as twisted as their “secular” counterparts.

It’s no wonder a sense of entitlement takes root in an environment of zero accountability.

NPR Turns to JERK Who Says Charlie Kirk Was a Racist Promoting ‘White Culture’ Against ‘Equity’

Kyle Spencer

The morning after the murder of Charlie Kirk, NPR’s Morning Edition turned to Kyle Spencer, a leftist author of a 2022 book titled Raising Them Right: The Untold Story About America’s Ultraconservative Youth Movement And Its Plot For Power. NPR host Michel Martin repeated the “ultraconservative” title three times. Spencer’s personal website describes her book as explaining “how radical extremists message anti-democratic ideals via social media, online celebrity culture and false facts.”

Sane Tribunal Ruling: Photo’s of hijabless Muslima not “intimate images”

Photos of a Muslim woman in which she is not wearing a hijab are not intimate images, a B.C. tribunal has ruled.

The Civil Resolution Tribunal published its decision on the case Friday, dismissing a claim for damages under B.C.’s Intimate Images Protection Act. The legislation allows people to seek up to $5,000 in compensation from individuals who share or threaten to share their intimate images without consent.

The woman, whose identity is anonymized under a publication ban, told the tribunal photos of her without her hijab were shared with court officials, some of whom were male, by her ex-husband in the course of a family law proceeding.

Charlie Kirk, George Floyd, and EVERYTHING Different About the Left and the Right

A large part of me feels filthy comparing the two because Charlie Kirk doesn’t deserve for anyone to lump him into the same category as George Floyd. Even if we accept the central thesis of the Black Lives Matter movement — that George Floyd was murdered in a senseless act of police violence — the circumstances between the two were extraordinarily different, and no one should lose sight of why…

FBI Investigating Social Media Accounts That Appeared To Indicate Foreknowledge of Kirk Assassination

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating social media posts by at least seven different accounts that appeared to indicate foreknowledge of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, according to three people familiar with the investigation and screenshots obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

The posts—one of which referenced the date of Kirk’s assassination, September 10, more than a month before it took place—were all deleted in the days following the killing. Several of the accounts appear to belong to transgender individuals, and at least one of them followed suspect Tyler Robinson’s roommate, with whom Robinson was allegedly in a relationship, on TikTok.

Charlie Kirk Helped Republicans Break Through to Young People

PHOENIX—When Olivia Hubbard left Iowa to go to college she thought she was going to get a break from the conservatism her dad was always touting. Instead, she was politically awakened.

Hubbard, now 19, was convinced by a roommate to see Charlie Kirk last year when he visited Grand Canyon University, 20 minutes from the headquarters of Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA. Listening to Kirk speak, Hubbard said, was like hearing all of her beliefs articulated clearly.

“I thought it was super cool that there’s someone younger who was going to all these universities, and who did believe in God and really made that known,” said Hubbard, who is Christian. From that moment on she was hooked, staying up late watching videos of Kirk debating liberal students on other college campuses.

Germany state elections: AfD makes gains, Greens fall behind

On Sunday, around 13.7 million people went to the polls in Germany’s most populous state, North Rhine-Westphalia. The results were losses for the center-left Social Democrats (SPD) and a bitter blow for the environmentalist Greens.

The conservative Christian Democratic Union (CDU) saw a respectable showing, but it was the partly right-wing extremist Alternative for Germany (AfD) that made the strongest gains.

At stake in the local elections were around 20,000 parliamentary seats in almost 400 towns and municipalities, as well as mayorships in larger cities.

Proposed anti-hate legislation could help police in ‘cloudy areas’: analyst

A proposed anti-hate legislation could help police during protesting amid rise in hate crimes in Canada, a public safety analyst says.

Prime Minister Mark Carney is expected to introduce a bill this week that will prohibit people from restricting access to places of worship, religious or cultural buildings, and schools.

The bill is also slated to include three new hate-related Criminal Code offences: willful intimidation, obstruction, and standalone hate occurring near places of worship.
