Prado Museum renames ‘dwarf’ paintings to comply with disability law

Too short tempered to comment.

In an era of economic uncertainty and rising populism, it could be considered prudent for the super-rich to hide, or at the very least downplay, their wealth.

Lording it over the masses at a time of political volatility has backfired on elites in the past so some restraint might be advised.

Mark Zuckerberg, however, has a $100 million apocalypse-proof bunker in Hawaii, perhaps explaining why he has no hesitation in flaunting his latest business venture.

The Return Of Laith Marouf: Terror TV Station Established in Canada, Supported by U.S. and European Radicals

Background – Federal government still hasn’t managed to collect Laith Marouf’s revoked grant

A television station established by a global coalition of terror activists is operating and fundraising in Canada, assisted by a global coalition of radical activists and violent extremists from designated terrorist organizations.

Established in the wake of the October 7th attacks, Free Palestine TV (FPTV) offers a steady diet of Hamas and Hezbollah propaganda. Its broadcasts are consistently extreme, and its social media channels comprise video clips of terrorist acts and propaganda messaging provided directly by terror groups, as well as posts glorifying the killing of Israelis.

Blackman canceled over his Blackface Puppet

Montreal puppeteer suing anti-racism group director after blackface controversy

A Black puppeteer based in Montreal has launched a defamation lawsuit against one of the heads of an anti-racism group, a little less than a year after he was accused of depicting a racist character in his children’s puppet show.

Last year, during Black History Month, Franck Sylvestre was scheduled to perform L’incroyable secret de barbe noire in several Montreal-area municipalities, including the West Island suburbs of Beaconsfield and Pointe-Claire.

German Greens Shift Blame to Supermarkets As Farmer Protests Rage

Green Party political efforts to spin Germany’s ongoing farmers’ demonstrations as solely caused by  profiteering supermarkets have been dismissed as a cheap diversionary tactic.

On a fourth consecutive day of protests, the Green leadership responded to the farmers by blaming the greed of the country’s major supermarket chains rather than the government’s Net Zero-related policies. Green MEP Anna Cavazzini cited “market power” as causing the low prices open to German farmers. This follows crudely engineered media smears tying the demonstrations to the ‘far right.’

Chaos Erupts in Hearing of Ottawa Detective as Lawyers File Police Report on Head of Professional Standards Unit

OTTAWA—A day after the head of Ottawa Police Service’s (OPS) Professional Standards Unit was accused of sending a “threatening” email to Constable Helen Grus—an OPS detective accused of discreditable conduct after investigating the vaccination status of the mothers of deceased infants—the constable’s lawyers filed a police report in the middle of a hearing.

“If I may stand, I’m a witness to a crime and I’m filing a police report right now. I’m an officer of the court,” lawyer Blair Ector abruptly said during a police disciplinary hearing in Stittsville, Ont., on Jan. 11.

Hunter’s Calculated Hijinks

Regarding the Hunter Circus on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, Noah Rothman has a great column on the contemptuousness of the president’s contemptible son. Our reporter David Zimmermann has a report that’s worth your time, too. (I wrote an opinion piece on it for Fox News yesterday.)

Noah is right that the Oversight Committee Democrats’ defense of Hunter is frivolous. They claim that since the subpoena demanded Hunter’s appearance for testimony and since he showed up yesterday claiming to be prepared to testify, the contempt is “cured” (meaning, the House should deem the initial failure to comply as rectified by subsequent compliance). But a contempt can conceivably be cured only by compliance with the terms of the directive that has been flouted — in this instance, an Oversight Committee subpoena. I say “conceivably” because belated compliance with a subpoena is a cure only if it would put the investigative body in the same position that it would be in if compliance had been timely. (For instance, if the delay causes investigators to lose access to evidence, then belated compliance is not a cure.)

UFO whistleblower held secret talk with ‘Wall St bigwigs’ and CIA officials in Manhattan – where he claimed US was in possession of 40ft Tardis-like craft that was ‘the size of a football field when you stepped inside’

A UFO whistleblower shared new details of a Tardis-like craft in government possession during a secret meeting in New York City.

Decorated former Air Force intelligence officer David Grusch claims his sources worked on a 40-foot UAP that ‘was the size of a football field’ when they stepped inside, according to an attendee at the event.

The object could manipulate both space and time and use and could harness enough energy to power 70,000 homes a year, the source said.

NTK – Need to know

Bryce and Ross begin 2024 with a quick look back at the big events of last year: David Grusch’s revelations and the gutting of the Schumer Amendment to the Defense bill. Then they look ahead to this year and an upcoming House Oversight Committee hearing, Lue Elizondo’s book and Grusch’s op-ed piece on the heels of the US government slightly loosening what he’s able to reveal. And Ross drops a big hint about what could be a very big story: new data from the James Webb Space Telescope.

What a secret far-right meeting reveals about the AfD

It sounds like a scene from a dystopian TV drama: in a country hotel west of Berlin, far-right politicians met neo-Nazi activists and sympathetic businesspeople to discuss a ‘masterplan’ for Germany that involves the forced deportations of millions from the country. But this is no fiction. According to reports in the German media, such a meeting took place last November. These revelations will do little to calm the tumultuous political waters in Germany.

Around two dozen people met at the picturesque lakeside hotel in Potsdam, according to the news outlet Correctiv, which published a detailed report of its undercover investigation. Given the explosive content discussed in speeches between meals, secrecy was paramount for the organisers. Members were invited by a letter seen by Correctiv and the Guardian. The stated purpose of the meeting: the presentation of a ‘masterplan’, presented by ‘none other’ than Martin Sellner.

Yeah, No – We’re Not Ready to Forgive Bud Light

Remember how we were boycotting Bud Light for trying to impose the cultural values of your standard Chardonnay-swilling divorced shut-in cat lady upon America? As you recall, Bud Light decided that it would celebrate some ugly dude who pretends to be an even uglier woman as some sort of hero, and then compounded it by having its wine woman – it’s always liberal wine women – executive explain that its consumers are a bunch of knuckle-dragging savages who are too stupid to understand the nuances of today’s society, which apparently means pretending dudes are chicks. It was obnoxious and gratuitously insulting to its audience and just caught fire. We are fed up with having giant faceless corporations trying to impose their garbage values on us, and Bud Light happened to step into the kill zone. And it got crushed.

The ‘white rage’ that wasn’t

I suspect many of us can remember former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley testifying alongside Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on June 23, 2021 at a House Armed Services Committee hearing. In this setting, Milley was asked about reports that the U.S. Military Academy at West Point taught critical race theory along with a seminar on “white rage.”

Pope’s “Common Dreams” With Marxists Denies Persecution Nightmare

The pope’s ten predecessors knew that Marxism was radically incompatible with Catholicism.

In a Vatican reception on Wednesday, Pope Francis encouraged a Marxist-Christian dialogue group, urging them to keep “dreaming of a better world” and to have “the courage to step outside the box” to create “new paths” for humanity through collaboration.

The Nicaraguan Bishop Rolando Alvarez of Matagalpa was unavailable for comment, as his country’s Marxist government has thrown him in prison on trumped-up treason charges. Similarly, Chinese bishop Peter Shao Zhumin of Zhejiang could not be located for reaction, as the Communist authorities in his country hauled him to jail on January 2nd.
