Auto theft, illegal car sales soar in Ontario amid vehicle shortage

Auto theft and illegal vehicle sales are on the rise in Ontario as the auto industry continues to deal with low inventory and supply chain issues, according to the province’s car sales regulator.

At a news conference at Toronto police headquarters on Thursday morning, the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC), Crime Stoppers, and the city’s police service launched a crime prevention campaign to address the growing issue of illegal vehicle sales in the Greater Toronto Area.

Iran’s Plan To Turn The West Bank Into A Terror Base

Palestinian terrorists are working hard to turn the West Bank into a launching pad for waging war on Israel. They have already turned the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip into a base for firing tens of thousands of rockets towards Israel. Now, the terrorists, with the help of Iran, are trying to use the West Bank to launch rockets at Israeli civilian communities.

The US Administration’s recent move to give Iran access to at least $16 billion, including $6 billion held in South Korea, as part of a prisoner exchange deal, will undoubtedly benefit Tehran’s Palestinian terror proxies: Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The two terror groups, which seek the destruction of Israel, have long been receiving financial and military aid from Iran’s mullahs.

Nolte: Disney‘s ‘Snow White‘ Star Rachel Zegler Is Why I Welcome Artificial Intelligence

Box Office Toxin

Rachel Zegler is Exhibit A in why I’m hoping artificial intelligence (A.I.) takes over Hollywood.

Rachel Zegler personifies everything wrong with the modern-day entertainment business. Who is she? She’s a nobody. She starred in one movie, West Side Story (2021), a notorious flop, and now she’s running around like she’s the Harriet Tubman of Hollywood, shooting off her smug, self-satisfied mouth about how she — a marginally intelligent, uni-browed oompa loompa — is going to “correct” the classic fairy tale Snow White.

Canada’s costly housing market needs a reality check

Out of reach for most Canadians.

… Or consider a prospective lower-income renter in Toronto. Scanning the offerings turns up one that might once have served such a person. It has a good location but is in a basement, measures just 450 square feet and, at least according to the photos in the listing, admits natural light only through the door. It costs $1,900 per month.

Would anyone argue that if the unit cost $1,520 instead that would make it affordable? To cover even that lower price without exceeding the recommended 30 per cent of pretax income on housing would require the renter to earn about $61,000.

D.C. Court Agrees That BLM Rioters Were Treated as if They Were Above the Law

During the George Floyd riots in the spring and summer of 2020, BLM rioters were essentially allowed to wreak havoc as they pleased without consequence. The nation watched as rioters burned and defaced buildings, and liberal-controlled cities did little to stop it. Washington, D.C., for example, refused to prosecute rioters who defaced buildings, yet, when pro-life protesters used chalk on an abortion clinic, the city threw the book at them, and two pro-life activists were arrested in 2020.

The Biden Administration’s Disconcerting Bias Against Canadian Oil

As we dissect the Biden administration’s approach to pipeline projects, a perplexing pattern emerges: Are these strategies truly about pioneering “climate leadership,” or is there a veiled agenda against Canadian interests?

Consider a recent Frontier Centre for Public Policy study which spotlighted the Biden administration’s putting its moral and legal weight behind a small Maine town contesting a pipeline project. This project aimed to facilitate the flow of Canadian crude from the oilsands to an Atlantic seaport. While pipeline lawyers argued that a local ordinance could potentially breach the Constitution’s provision, which reserves such authority for Congress, the Biden administration’s legal eagles argued to the contrary, stating no federal laws or the Constitution were being violated.

Hunter Biden CC’d On Call Between Then-VP Joe And Former Ukraine President

House Republican investigators have asked the National Archives to hand over any unredacted records in which then-VP Joe Biden used a pseudonym.

Previously released emails retrieved from Hunter’s abandoned laptop reveal that Biden used a “Robert.L.Peters@pci.gov” email address while he was serving as Vice President of the United States. What’s more, that Biden aide John Flynn cc’d Hunter on 10 emails which contained Joe’s daily schedule between May 19 and June 15, 2016.

WASHINGTON – A Quebec woman has been sentenced to nearly 22 years in prison after sending a poison-laced letter to former president Donald Trump.

The French-born Ferrier pleaded guilty to a total of nine biological weapons charges, each of which carries a potential maximum sentence of life in prison.

Chinese social media filled with anti-black racist content, says watchdog

Chinese social media is littered with racist videos, particularly content that mocks black people or portrays them through offensive racial stereotypes, research by Human Rights Watch (HRW) has found.

The human rights watchdog analysed hundreds of videos posted on Chinese social media since 2021 and found that major platforms, including Bilibili, Douyin, Kuaishou, Weibo and Xiaohongshu, “do not routinely address racist content”.

One type of video that is popular on Chinese social media portrays people in African countries as primitive or impoverished, with Chinese people – often the content creators – being shown as wealthy saviours.

So we need more immigrants … to build homes for all the immigrants?

With the Australian government hiring a consultant for advice on dealing with consultants, Momus, the Greek god of satire, retreats helplessly from the stage. Which is too bad since we could use a satirical hand, or mouth, when told Canada’s minister of immigration says we must bring in an endless stream of immigrants to build houses for the endless stream of immigrants we’re bringing in to build … um … hang on a second.

Is It Time to Ban Electric Vehicles?

The New York Fire Department recently reported that so far this year there have been 108 lithium-ion battery fires in New York City, which have injured 66 people and killed 13. According to FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh, “There is not a small amount of fire, it (the vehicle) literally explodes.” The resulting fire is “very difficult to extinguish and so it is particularly dangerous.”

Last year there were more than 200 fires from batteries from e-bikes, EVs, and other devices.

Jamie Sarkonak: DEI trainers can’t play victim after building careers on race shaming

Toronto school principal Richard Bilkszto was bullied by an anti-racism trainer over “his whiteness” — his questioning of her assertion that Canada is a more racist place than the United States. In July, he took his own life. The victim here is easy to spot. It’s the dead man.
