The West’s climate dead end

Former British prime minister Tony Blair is the quintessential Davos man. In the sixteen years since he left office, he has criss-crossed the globe, giving speeches and advising sometimes unsavory clients. And yet this week he has delivered a dissenting comment on the issue that his fellow conference-hoppers spend a lot of time worrying about.

Blair has caused a bit of ruckus in the UK this week thanks to an interview with center-left magazine the New Statesman in which the former Labour Party leader questions the wisdom of unilateral action on climate change. Blair called climate change “the single biggest global challenge” before saying of UK efforts to cut carbon emissions: “Don’t ask us to do a huge amount when, frankly, whatever we do in Britain is not really going to [affect] climate change.

Thousands of dollars worth of musical equipment went up in smoke on a bonfire on Saturday in western Herat province.

Since taking power in 2021, the Taliban have imposed numerous restrictions, including on playing music in public.

Ahmad Sarmast, Afghanistan National Institute of Music founder, likened their actions to “cultural genocide and musical vandalism”.

Palestinian ‘Unity’ To Destroy Israel

Ismail Haniyeh is the leader of Hamas, the Palestinian Islamist movement designated by the US and European Union as a terrorist organization because of its “armed resistance” against Israel. Haniyeh, who is currently based in Qatar, has always supported terror attacks against Israel and remains fully committed to Hamas’s covenant, which states that the land of “Palestine” belongs only to Muslims and rejects any “initiatives or so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences.” The Hamas covenant further states that “there is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad [holy war].”

Germany wants more women in the military

Germany wants you for the armed forces — especially if you’re a woman. Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s Cabinet adopted a series of measures this week to boost equal opportunity in the military.

The changes aim to align procedures in the Bundeswehr, Germany’s armed forces, with a recent strengthening of equal opportunity laws that apply to the government overall. The Bundeswehr needs people to fill its ranks, as part of Germany’s efforts to bolster its military capabilities in response to Russia’s war in Ukraine.

Chris Sankey: Stop blaming forest fires on climate change

Recent forest fires in Canada and around the world have sparked fear and outrage from those who have been impacted by them. Overeager ecological activists have been quick to take advantage of this and are misleading Canadians about the probability of future fires. Large forest fires make everyone nervous, and deservedly so, but attributing every fire to climate change is both scientifically unsound and horribly opportunistic.

Who did honest reporting on David Grusch and the July UAP/UFO hearings?

In honor of the recent UAP hearings that were held on July 26, I did a quick scan of some major news outlets (like The New York Times, CNN, Fox News, and more) to see how they were reporting this story. I read the articles, analyzed how they presented things, and gave them a grade. Of course, my assessments are not gospel; I invite everyone to read these pieces and interpret what they say about the media reaction to this topic going forward.

Alberta a racist hell hole says CBC

Alberta is calling and professional racialized women are answering — some, to a rude awakening

Lungile Tinarwo had high hopes of establishing her own law firm and prospering when she first moved to Edmonton.

“Everybody talks about… there’s an abundance of work, there’s this, there’s that. But I’ve never felt more alone and marginalized than since starting my practice here,” Tinarwo said.

Ten years after leaving Toronto, and as the province continues to target skilled workers in Ontario and the Maritimes with its Alberta is Calling campaigns, she’s having regrets.

Biden’s DOJ backs down and says it did not call for Devon Archer to be jailed before testimony which could implicate Joe in son Hunter’s scams

The Department of Justice is claiming it did not call for Hunter Biden’s business partner Devon Archer to be jailed before his congressional testimony today, following an ‘odd’ letter on July 29 that Republicans slammed as an attempt to ‘intimidate’ their star witness.

Archer, a friend and business partner of Hunter Biden, is expected to provide the House Oversight Committee bombshell details that will challenge the White House’s insistence that Joe Biden has never had any knowledge of or involvement in his wayward son’s business affairs.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer said the Justice Department was acting unusually by sending a letter to a New York judge over the weekend calling for Archer’s sentencing for an unrelated fraud conviction to be expedited.

The Liberals must fix the housing crisis, before it undermines support for immigration .. Awww too late corporate crony class the jig is up

In last week’s cabinet shuffle, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau promoted Sean Fraser, one of his government’s rising stars, from immigration to housing. His job in this new portfolio is to fix the problem he contributed to in his old one.

Mr. Fraser must find a way to ease this country’s critical housing shortage, a problem the Liberal government is stoking by bringing in more than a million newcomers a year to Canada.

High levels of immigration bring growth, energy and confidence to our country. But they also bring problems. Mr. Fraser must fix the worst problem of all, or risk undermining the Canadian experiment.

Immigration benefits no one save the Corporate  and permanent political class, they love importing new slaves.

A smaller piece of the pie is all you’ll get for your labours meanwhile Trudeau and his cronies will line their pockets.

Reduced wages, shortages of housing, overwhelmed education, public tranit, healthcare and a fragmented low trust society are features not bugs.

They want you poor and afraid.
