CAIR’s Shoot First, Ask Questions Never Defamation Defense

They called her a bigot and demanded her termination, all based on the account of a 7-year-old.

Now, attorneys argue that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) merely was engaging in “rhetorical hyperbole used to express” its “deeply-held opinions” about an incident involving a New Jersey elementary school teacher and a Muslim student.

Do the global elites know what they are talking about?

If the architects of the New World Order have proven anything over the years, it is that they are not competent enough to run such a thing.

George Soros can’t even cheat competent people into local office, so what exactly makes the “stateless statesman” qualified to bring in a New World Order?

Take the example of the candidates he backed for high office in Chicago. If Chicago had a balanced budget, and was crime- and corruption-free, I would look at the Soros candidates and say, “Wow, maybe the Davos guys are on to something, maybe world government will work.”

The trouble with ‘white privilege’

Debates about racism have become framed largely through discussions of whiteness and of white privilege

In 1935, while writing his masterpiece Black Reconstruction in America, W.E.B. Du Bois pondered the question of why, in the wake of the Civil War, there had not developed working-class solidarity across racial lines.

“The South, after the war,” he observed, “presented the greatest opportunity for a real national labor movement which the nation ever saw or is likely to see for many decades.” Yet, he lamented, “the labor movement, with but few exceptions, never realized the situation. It never had the intelligence or knowledge, as a whole, to see in black slavery and Reconstruction, the kernel and meaning of the labor movement in the United States.” The principal reason was “the race philosophy” which “came as a new and terrible thing to make labor unity or labor class-consciousness impossible. So long as the Southern white laborers could be induced to prefer poverty to equality with the Negro, just so long was a labor movement in the South made impossible.”

Is the Antisemitism That Is Rampant in Some Parts of the Muslim World Really Based on a Misinterpretation of Islam?

Moderate Muslim Raheel Raza published a heartwarming story in Canada’s National Post Monday, entitled “I’m a Muslim and I love Israel. Here’s why.” In it, she notes that “every moment of my first trip to the Jewish state was an awakening about the misinformation I had been fed.” Raza tells numerous stories about the kindness shown to her by Jews and Israelis, and in this torn and weary world, that is heartwarming indeed.

Heroic US politicians lead the assault on climate stupidity and Covid corruption

WHILE we might despair at the hopelessness of our politicians (with the honourable exceptions of those two principled and courageous MPs Sir Chrstopher Chope and Andrew Bridgen) it is encouraging to see that the fight against reckless stupidity and corruption is still being energetically prosecuted on the other side of the Atlantic.

I have two videos that are an example to their lacklustre counterparts in our Houses of Parliament.

‘Absolute victory over Russia isn’t possible’

Few people better understand the West’s fraught relationship with Russia than Fiona Hill. Born in Bishop Auckland, she went on to study History and Russian at St Andrews before a scholarship at Harvard took her to America. From there, Hill rose rapidly through the ranks to become one of the world’s foremost experts on Putin’s Russia, brought into the administrations of George W. Bush, Barack Obama and, finally, Donald Trump.

Fiddling while Ohio burns

The Democratic elites aren’t even pretending to care about the East Palestine disaster.

I’m calling it. We have finally hit rock bottom. Aided and abetted by the craven corporate media, the American liberal-left establishment has pushed the boundaries of ineptitude to the point of parody. And now Donald Trump is poised to steal the left’s lunch, eat it and let it swirl around in the toilet – along with the liberal elite’s political credibility.

Is Pierre Poilievre taking a page out of Donald Trump’s playbook? Justin Trudeau seems to think so

The “Canada is broken” rhetoric from the Conservatives in Canada is out of Donald Trump’s failed political playbook, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Tuesday evening.

“There’s an ease out there in political circles” with saying “oh, everything’s broken. It’s all broken. It’s we have to change and start over,” he said at a gathering of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters in Vaughan.

Bad news for Justin and his media lackeys: Canada is broken and playing the Trump card is pathetic.

Trudeau launches lame attack on Opposition after being caught out on suspicious lack of response to ChiCom election interference & espionage activities

Political spin on election interference helps China undermine democracies: Trudeau

OTTAWA – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says members of Parliament who put a political spin on foreign election interference are helping China undermine Canadians’ confidence in their democracy.

He says playing “political games” to get a partisan advantage will undermine people’s trust in their institutions, and will only assist the efforts of countries like Russia and China that attempt to make democracies unstable.

He told reporters today that Canadians must have trust in the electoral process, regardless of which political party is in power, and parties must work together on the issue.

The Mask Mandates Did Nothing. Will Any Lessons Be Learned?

The most rigorous and comprehensive analysis of scientific studies conducted on the efficacy of masks for reducing the spread of respiratory illnesses — including Covid-19 — was published late last month. Its conclusions, said Tom Jefferson, the Oxford epidemiologist who is its lead author, were unambiguous.

“There is just no evidence that they” — masks — “make any difference,” he told the journalist Maryanne Demasi. “Full stop.”

But, wait, hold on. What about N-95 masks, as opposed to lower-quality surgical or cloth masks?

“Makes no difference — none of it,” said Jefferson.

RCMP Says Recruitment a Challenge as Attrition Rate Hits 10-Year High

The federal police force says it’s facing recruitment challenges while at the same time dealing with the departure of regular members at high rates over the last decade.

“While there has recently been an increase in departures relative to historical averages, it is likely that this is a ‘catch-up,” as 2020 saw far fewer retirements than would normally be expected,” RCMP spokesperson Kim Chamberland told The Epoch Times.
