We went too far with Covid restrictions says Germany’s pro-lockdown minister

Some Covid restrictions were “idiocy” and lengthy school closures were an “unnecessary mistake”, Germany’s lockdown chief has admitted.

Karl Lauterbach, who became the face of the pro-lockdown movement, said some regulations went too far.

“Much of what we did was right but what was idiocy was the things like jogging with masks, or rules for outdoors. Those were excessive,” Mr Lauterbach said.

Surprise, Surprise! Soros-Tied Disinfo Group Is Reportedly ‘Blacklisting’ Conservative Media

This week, the Washington Examiner uncovered “Disinformation Inc.” and how it makes money blacklisting conservative “disinformation” spreaders. One of those “disinformation” trackers has multiple ties to none other than liberal billionaire George Soros.

The Examiner released a Feb. 9 exclusive about how “well-funded ‘disinformation’ tracking groups are part of a stealth operation blacklisting and trying to defund conservative media” by working to deprive them of large amounts of advertising revenue.

Nolte: Black Man Protesting in Blackface Booted from Sarah Silverman Show

A black man says he was manhandled and removed from a February 4 Sarah Silverman concert for wearing blackface. The 71-year-old Michael B. Jackson says he wore the blackface to protest Silverman’s use of blackface 15 years ago in a skit on her canceled TV show. Jackson said things got so rough, six security guards were necessary to remove him, and he ended up in the hospital.

How Russia can end the war

An invasion through Belarus would accelerate negotiations

Looking ahead, there are only two possible major military moves for Russia. Following the mobilisation of 300,000 reservists last autumn, Putin’s army is now larger than when it invaded last February. Then, the aim was not to start a war but to end it, with a quick victory forecast by Russian and US Intelligence, both equally intoxicated by the false promise of “post-kinetic” warfare; this would combine electronic propaganda with cyber-attacks on everything from military headquarters to civilian infrastructures. Generals who had never fought against patriotic Europeans but only against Middle Eastern sectarians, if they had fought at all, who considered tanks old-fashioned and had limitless respect for “information warfare”, heavily influenced the totally wrong estimates that misled both Biden and Putin.

Pentagon looks to restart top-secret programs in Ukraine

If approved, the move would authorize U.S. Special Operations troops to employ Ukrainian operatives to observe Russian movements and counter disinformation

The Pentagon is urging Congress to resume funding a pair of top-secret programs in Ukraine suspended ahead of Russia’s invasion last year, according to current and former U.S. officials. If approved, the move would allow American Special Operations troops to employ Ukrainian operatives to observe Russian military movements and counter disinformation.

I have an awful time believing anything anyone says about the Ukraine-Russia conflict especially in light of the NordStream pipeline report.

It is at this point a Proxy war for economic supremacy and the continued dependence of Europe on the US. Ukraine is a pawn. And we get to help pay for it all.

Majority of students hide Jewish identity, pro-Israel views, Hillel Ontario poll finds

A new poll by Hillel Ontario found that a significant majority of Jewish students had refrained from expressing their pro-Israel believes in public for fear of being criticized and slightly more than half had downplayed their Jewishness in social settings.

Hillel Ontario, which describes itself as the largest regional Hillel in the world with a combined Jewish student population of 14,000 across nine universities, released the findings from the “student pulse check survey” after polling nearly 500 Jewish students between November 2022 and January 2023.

Large amount of cash found in Honey and Barry Sherman’s wallets ruled out a break-in

Barry Sherman had $372 in his wallet when he died. Honey Sherman’s wallet was stuffed with $7,500, possibly from a visit to an ATM shortly before she was killed.

Sources say cash discovered at the crime scene explains why a homicide detective went to great lengths to calm fears in the neighbourhood shortly after the bodies were found. It was unlikely their deaths were a break-in gone wrong.

The farmers fighting back against the irrational elites

Now French farmers have joined the tractor revolt against the laptop classes.

Nothing speaks to the madness of the modern elites better than their war on farming. Consider France. One day President Macron is telling the world to get serious about ‘food security’. Post-Covid and with war raging in Ukraine, we must make sure food keeps being made and transported around the world, the French government says. Yet, at the same time, that same government, without missing a beat, is bringing in pesticide bans that could devastate sections of France’s own agriculture industry. Which could even lead to the closure of farms. Behold the schizophrenia of the 21st-century establishment.

Hijab protests sow doubt and confusion among Iran’s revolutionary guards

Forces in the Iranian revolutionary guards are beginning to feel “doubt and confusion” after almost five months of anti-regime demonstrations, senior officers have admitted.

Compounding this sense of frustration is their pay. The salaries of IRGC soldiers are a quarter of their counterparts in Lebanon’s Hezbollah forces, Iran’s most powerful Middle East proxy, according to sources.

The 125,000-strong IRGC has carried out a brutal crackdown against protesters across the country, killing at least 528 civilians and imprisoning tens of thousands more, rights groups say. Seventy IRGC soldiers are believed to have died.

Amsterdam not ‘Valhalla for paid sex and drugs’ as red light district bans cannabis

Smoking cannabis outside in Amsterdam’s red light district will soon be made illegal, and brothels forced to close earlier, under rules to save residents from “glassy-eyed tourist zombies”.

The new regulations are set to come into force in mid-May and aim to make city centre living more bearable for long-suffering locals.

A city spokeswoman said: “The atmosphere becomes dire, particularly at night. This comes at the expense of a good night’s sleep for residents and the liveability and safety of the whole neighbourhood.”
