Last night at a Macy’s in San José, California, swift and aggressive internal security action thwarted an attempted group robbery. Following the arrival of police, two citizens apparently unconnected with the robbers were arrested for interfering with the police as they attempted to apprehend the suspects.
New emails released by a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request revealed that last year, outgoing National Institutes of Health Dir. Dr. Francis Collins instructed Dr. Anthony Fauci to carry out a “quick and devastating” takedown of The Great Barrington Declaration, a document authored by experts who advocated for herd immunity to stop the pandemic, and “focused protection” for the most vulnerable populations over universal lockdowns.

OTTAWA — An investigation by Canada’s spy service concluded that money, ego and career frustrations were the likely reasons a veteran RCMP officer passed highly sensitive secrets to Russian intelligence for years, newly disclosed records reveal.
Molehunters determined in the mid-1980s that Gilles Germain Brunet was an agent of the Soviet KGB from the late 1960s well into the 1970s, a Cold War spy saga detailed in documents released to The Canadian Press by the Canadian Security Intelligence Service through the Access to Information Act.
Brunet’s betrayal has long been the subject of whispers, chronicled in news articles and books since at least the early 1990s. But until now Canadian intelligence officials have not publicly confirmed his exploits, nor divulged details of the probe that left them convinced he was a mole.
Only two of the three witnesses called on Thursday actually gave evidence. Both were associates of the Abdeslam brothers at their café in Brussels. Both spoke by videolink from the federal police building in the Belgian capital. Neither had much to say.
The first witness, identified as Rafik E. H., admitted that he had been a friend and business associate of Brahim Abdeslam.

A man who targeted the Jewish community by wearing T-shirts supporting proscribed Palestinian groups has been banned from NW11 in north London.
Feras Al Jayoosi, 34, from Swindon in Wiltshire, was spotted on 8 and 9 June wearing the T-shirts in Golders Green, which has a large Jewish population.
The harm he caused by his actions “was high”, the court heard.
Al Jayoosi admitted four terrorism charges and was given a 16-week prison sentence, suspended for two years.

These high-profile incidents were all investigated as hate crimes and garnered sympathy around the country. They were also all found to have been faked.
Dr. Anthony Fauci warned Sunday that traveling during the holidays presents an increased risk of COVID-19 given the Omicron variant “raging” around the globe.
The White House chief medical adviser said people need to be “prudent” if they plan to travel over the season.
“Clearly, when you travel, there is always a risk of increased infection. That just goes with respiratory illnesses,” Fauci told NBC anchor Chuck Todd on “Meet the Press.”
Fauci has lost public credibility. Even if right and I believe he is in this instance fewer and fewer heed his announcements.
