Parliament Prorogation Was ‘Delay Tactic’ Against WE Charity Probe, Committee Hears

The primary reason for last year’s Parliament prorogation was to get Prime Minister Justin Trudeau out of the WE Charity controversy, the Committee on Procedure and House Affairs (PROC) heard on Thursday.

On June 25, 2020, the WE Charity was awarded a federal contract of $43.5 million to administer a student summer grant program, despite the organization’s close ties to the Trudeau family. In July 2020, the federal Ethics Commissioner launched an investigation into whether Trudeau and his then-finance minister Bill Morneau had violated the Conflict of Interest Act.

There Is an Outsized Islamist Terrorist Threat in Europe

Authorities in Denmark and Germany arrested 14 suspected Islamic extremists earlier this month for plotting a terrorist attack, likely in Europe. The suspects, who include three Syrian brothers, are accused of acquiring firearms and several kilograms of chemicals used for manufacturing explosives, Denmark’s security and intelligence service said on Friday. An Islamic State (ISIS) flag was also discovered in subsequent police searches.

Like many parts of the world, European governments face numerous types of terrorist actors across the ideological spectrum. However, extremist Islamist activity continues to be Europe’s top terrorist threat.

I finally know someone who has Covid. Me Sainted Irish 96 Year Old Mudda caught it at the hospital.

I finally know someone who has Covid. Me Sainted Irish 96 Year Old Mudda caught it at the hospital.

There has been an outbreak on her floor for the past week, she was being treated for suspected pneumonia but her test came back positive last night.

All of this because she was immobilized when she arrived at St. Joe’s for treatment of edema before Christmas.

She was caught in a Covid lockdown at St. Joes and she was bedridden for two weeks which exasperated a knee problem.

They decided a stint at Runnymede rehab was called for but she was further waylayed and kept immobile at St. Joe’s due to an earlier outbreak at Runnymede which delayed her departure.

St. Joes’ helped by botching a cortisone shot to her knee and then broke Mom’s hearing aids for added measure.

It’s very frustrating, I have seen Mom at the hospitals perhaps 8 times since Christmas between Covid outbreaks.

The isolation will kill her before Covid does.

She sounded good yesterday when we spoke on the phone, her release date had been scheduled for March 8th which cheered her up but that is unlikely now, as she has already missed a week of physio alone hindering her progress.

White House signals hard line on Buy American as Ottawa urged to push for exemption

WASHINGTON — The White House isn’t leaving much wiggle room for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to escape Joe Biden’s Buy American rules.

The two leaders are set to meet virtually later today in Biden’s first bilateral meeting since taking over as U.S. president.

A fact sheet released early today by the White House describes plans for a “road map” for progress in areas of mutual interest, like COVID-19, climate change, defence and social justice.

It makes no mention of certain Canadian priorities, such as procuring more vaccine doses, freeing Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig from China or securing an exemption to Buy American.

Ontario reports 975 new Kung Flu Kases – Toronto BBQ Lockdown Costs 187K?

Ontario reports 975 new Kung Flu Kases – Toronto BBQ Lockdown Costs 187K?

City of Toronto seeking $187K from Etobicoke BBQ owner who defied lockdown

The City of Toronto is seeking to recoup the $187,000 it says it spent forcing an Etobicoke barbecue eatery to comply with public health lockdown measures.

Police were repeatedly called to Adamson BBQ in Etobicoke last November after the restaurant’s owner, Adam Skelly, openly defied lockdown measures and allowed in-person dining. Scores of Skelly’s supporters and anti-lockdown protesters swarmed police officers on scene, and city officials were forced to change the locks to keep the restaurant in compliance with public health orders.

Skelly was charged both criminally and non-criminally with trespassing, intent to obstruct police, violating indoor dining rules, holding an illegal gathering and operating a business without a licence.

Have they gone after BLM?

Flamin’ hot hypocrite: Joe Biden refuses to condemn Cuomo’s nursing home deaths scandal

Flamin’ hot hypocrite: Joe Biden refuses to condemn Cuomo’s nursing home deaths scandal

Joe Biden, who blamed President Trump entirely for all 300,000 (at the time) deaths in the U.S. from COVID during his campaign, has gone strangely silent about the revelations that New York’s Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered nursing homes in New York to accept COVID patients from hospitals and then covered up the 15,000 deaths that predictably came as a result of sticking the sickest people into the same living quarters as the most vulnerable. He’s more than silent, actually, his spokesweasel, Jen Psaki, has refused to condemn Cuomo

How the Editor of the Chronicle of Philanthropy Colluded in the SPLC’s Dangerous Blacklist

The character assassins of cancel culture come for the David Horowitz Freedom Center.

The media of what used to be a free country has become indistinguishable from the press operations of Pravda or Der Sturmer whose stock in trade were fawning stories about Communist and Nazi leaders and character assassinations discrediting their opponents.

Do the police know the difference between offensive and offence?

Do the police know the difference between offensive and offence?

Farcical scenes on the Wirral, where the police have apologised for a billboard reading “BEING OFFENSIVE IS AN OFFENCE”. Superintendent Martin Earl announced that this alarming declaration “although well-intentioned was incorrect.” Earl stressed, at some length, the importance of combatting hate, the outstanding credentials of the local “Hate Crime Co-ordinators”, and so on, but made sure to “clarify that ‘being offensive’ is not in itself an offence.” Nevertheless, it raises a question: Where on earth did Wirral Police get such a strange idea in the first place?

We need to talk about terrorism – Today’s progressive taboos around race and Islam are stifling constructive debate

…These taboos demand that we talk about terrorism in two distinct ways: on the one hand, we catastrophise its far-right variant, ramping up the agency and vileness of its perpetrators; while on the other, we infantilise its jihadi incarnation, playing down the agency of its instigators and forbidding any discussion of the religious motivations behind their violence.

“Fact Checkers” twisting themselves in knots to cover for Biden’s lies

“Fact Checkers” twisting themselves in knots to cover for Biden’s lies

The so-called “fact-checkers” in the mainstream media had a field day during the Trump administration, with the Washington Post tallying 30,573 misleading claims over the last four years.

No job was too small for the fact-checkers at CNN, the Washington Post, PolitiFact or Snopes. They dinged former President Trump for saying he had “tremendous African American support,” and that living in coronavirus locked down states was like being “in a prison.”

Now we’re in the Biden administration, these same fact-checkers have all but vanished or have been twisting themselves in knots to cover for President Joe Biden’s many misstatements and job-killing executive orders.

Chinese Regime Turned to Military for CCP Virus Cover-Up: Former Trump Adviser

The Chinese regime turned to its military, rather than its health authority, to cover-up and contain the CCP virus outbreak, according to a former White House deputy national security adviser.

This was one reason why the United States was unable to obtain any useful data from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in the burgeoning stages of the pandemic, Matthew Pottinger, who served under the Trump administration, told CBS News’ “Face the Nation” in an interview that aired on Feb. 21.

Vax bias matters – Canada’s vaccinators are planning to prioritize ‘adults in racialized and marginalized communities’

Vax bias matters – Canada’s vaccinators are planning to prioritize ‘adults in racialized and marginalized communities’

Canada’s vaccination rollout has gone poorly, to say the least. The country currently ranks just 40th in vaccine doses per capita. It is being soundly whipped by Morocco, Turkey, and Serbia — nations which aren’t known for bragging insufferably about their single-payer healthcare systems. Even worse for Canadians, they trail the United States. For a country that views its identity through the prism of its southern neighbor, this must be a most demoralizing experience.

On Monday, Canada’s national advisory committee on immunization announced that ‘saving lives’ will be shoved violently down the list of priorities in its vaccination drive. Instead, the country is placing a focus on racial equity — ‘Black Lives Matter More’, if you will.

Twitter Locked Focus On The Family’s Account Because The Christian Group Said Boys And Girls Are Different

Global Christian ministry Focus on the Family remains locked out of its Twitter account after the organization tweeted a link to an article by writer Zachary Mettler on its affiliated-platform, the Daily Citizen.

The tweet recited basic biology, and Twitter was not happy. In today’s censorious bully culture, speaking truth will land you in the digital gulag.
