Trudeau’s Canada: An Election Nobody Wants To Benefit A Prime Minister Nobody Likes

If any Canadian election in history qualifies as an example of political theatre of the absurd, it is the one rumoured to be called any day now.

Canada’s media have a nasty habit of positioning what is historically unprecedented as run-of-the-mill political behaviour. Nothing within contemporary politics is based on historical precedent. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said as much upon crowning our country a “post-modern” society.

Liberals hide names of media companies given $61 million in subsidies

The Liberal government will not reveal the names of Canadian publishers who benefited from nearly $61 million in subsidies advertised as “emergency relief.”

Media outlets were given the subsidies on top of substantial federal support already offered to them through the $600 million bailout fund passed by the Liberals in 2018. Additionally, publishers can also apply to receive funding through the Canada Periodical Fund.

According to Blacklock’s Reporter, a July 21 letter to the House of Commons heritage committee makes no mention of the media companies’ identities.

Liberals invest $100 million to support newcomers’ integration

To help ensure that all newcomers have access to the support they need, Marco E. L. Mendicino, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, today announced an investment of $100 million over the next 3 years to improve the way newcomers access settlement services through the service delivery improvements (SDI) process.

Federal Judge Blocks Biden Mandate Requiring Medical Professionals To Provide Gender Reassignment Procedures

Joe Biden has been hit again by a federal court blocking his administration’s mandate that would require doctors to perform gender reassignment surgeries even if they do not want to.

U.S. District Court of Northern Texas, Reed O’Connor, sided with the Christian plaintiffs in issuing a permanent injunction saying they are “to be exempt from the government’s requirements to perform abortions and gender-transition procedures,” Yahoo News reported.

Liberals Look in the Mirror and Scream

The left has a fraught relationship with freedom, in that they are against it except when it comes to bizarre perversions and transgressive nonsense designed to blow your bourgeois mind. Free speech, a free press, the right to worship as you see fit – these are frustrating obstacles to their power. They insist on pretending they support these things, and they are willing to infringe upon any of your freedoms to do it.

Don’t Panic, But Breakthrough Cases May Be a Bigger Problem Than You’ve Been Told

The vaccines were never tested to prevent transmission, only symptomatic disease, and those who knew the science expected, from the outset, that we would see some number of such cases, and that they would be, overwhelmingly, mild. But Delta appears to have changed things. Not everything: The vaccines are working to suppress severe outcomes from COVID infection — according to a New York Times analysis, by more than a factor of 100 for some states, and at least fivefold for even the states where the effect has been most muted. That is, by the standards of historical vaccines, game-changingly well. But most of the data in that analysis comes from before the arrival of the Delta variant, and during the current surge there does seem to be considerably more “leakage” in the protection that vaccines offer against pandemic spread than has widely been acknowledged. While more severe breakthrough cases remain, in relative terms, very rare, we may be seeing a rise in those numbers with Delta, as well.

Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin Celebrates Demographic Decline of White Americans as “Fabulous News”

Non-Hispanic whites in America have shrunk by 8.6% over the last decade alone and now account for 57.8% of the U.S. population – the lowest share ever.

According to Rubin, this is marvelous.

“A more diverse, more inclusive society,” Rubin remarked on Twitter. “This is fabulous news.”

The Total End of A Free Society – America First Docuseries Episode #1

Today’s top Gab TV video is part one of a documentary called “The Total End Of A Free Society,” which highlights the journey of 22 year old American political dissident Nicholas J. Fuentes. At just 22 years old Nick has become a Civil Rights Hero of our time and the canary in the coal mine for where our society is headed. In part one of the documentary we learn that the feds seized $500,000 from Nick’s bank account after he attended a political rally to exercise his First Amendment rights as an American Citizen. As I wrote a few weeks ago, pay attention to what is happening to both Nick and Gab, because it will inevitably happen to you too.

Less than 2% of church destroying criminals arrested in Canada

Local police and the RCMP have made few arrests since domestic terrorists went on a non-stop church burning and vandalism spree throughout Canada earlier this year.

As far as The Counter Signal can tell, fewer people have been arrested for burning down churches in Canada than pastors have been arrested for simply trying to practice their religion during COVID-19.

Three Charts The Delta Variant Scaremongers Don’t Want You To See

While the sharp rise in Delta-variant COVID cases has sparked a renewed push for mask mandates, lockdowns, and vaccine “passports,” there’s been little attention paid to just how dangerous this variant is. Perhaps that’s because the evidence suggests it is far less of a public health concern than previous outbreaks.

Canada cites “diversity” in outer space as strength in UN report

“As a champion of the full, meaningful and equal participation of women in all aspects of disarmament, Canada welcomes the emphasis on the full involvement and equal participation of women and men in discussions on reducing space threats through responsible behaviours and the need to assess the possible differentiated impacts of such threats,” Canada’s submission reads.

The IPCC is not infallible

Politicians, pundits and the broader Twittering classes have adopted a perversely religious attitude towards the recently published Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Sixth Assessment Report.

They don’t see it for what it is – a tendentious 41-page ‘summary for policymakers’ document, written by a committee in cahoots with governments around the world, and supplemented by thousands of pages of likely-to-be-unread analysis, projection and reference.

To reduce the deficit, Canadians want increased taxes on the wealthy and large corporations

In mid-July, the Broadbent Institute and the Professional Institute for the Public Service of Canada commissioned Abacus Data to conduct a national public opinion survey to explore attitudes and opinions about the federal deficit and the post-pandemic recovery.

Taxing the rich will allow the Liberals to send more money overseas.

Canadian Universities Promote Anti-Anglophone Critical Race Theory

Originating in the mid-1970s, Critical Race Theory is liberal academic ideology which espouses that white supremacy “exists and maintains power through law.”

Within CRT theory, the term “whiteness”is defined as “specific dimensions of racism that serves to elevate white people over people of colour.”

It should be of no surprise that this form of prejudice against Anglo-European citizens is quietly working its way into Canadian universities. Nor should it appear shocking that our Liberal government has integrated critical race theory ideology into their training materials.

Atlanta Mother Shocked to Discover Child’s Elementary School Segregating Classes by Race

Democrats are always telling the American people that Republicans are only ever dreaming of ways to roll back civil rights and reinstate Jim Crow. From voter ID requirements to tax cuts, there is no issue that the Democrats won’t use to terrify their loyal voters into believing Republicans will be bringing back Jim Crow segregation the moment they have the power to do so. Democrat voters are the only thing standing in the way of a return to “separate but equal.”

The sad irony is that we are indeed returning to “separate but equal” but it is the progressive left that is taking us there, and all in the name of justice.

WE Charity awarded multiple government contracts without competition: new report

Ombudsman Alexander Jeglic found a number of contracts exhibiting a troubling pattern of favouritism towards WE. These contracts were dated prior to the government’s controversial decision to award the charity a $43.5 million pandemic grant to oversee the $912 million federal Summer Student Service Grant, which was ultimately axed following public outcry.

New data on coronavirus vaccine effectiveness may be “a wakeup call”

A new preprint study that raises concerns about the mRNA vaccines’ effectiveness against Delta — particularly Pfizer’s — has already grabbed the attention of top Biden administration officials.

What they’re saying: The study found the Pfizer vaccine was only 42% effective against infection in July, when the Delta variant was dominant. “If that’s not a wakeup call, I don’t know what is,” a senior Biden official told Axios.

COVID-related restrictions to enter Canada could last for years, health minister says

If you’re planning on traveling to British Columbia, you’ll need to be vaccinated.

“They’re going to have to be vaccinated against COVID-19 for the foreseeable future. I don’t mean weeks or months, I mean years,” British Columbia Health Minister Adrian Dix said during an interview with KING 5.

FUREY: Deradicalizing the COVID busybodies

A number of public health officials are trying to highlight the good news about Canada’s pandemic response and deradicalize the COVID busybodies.

Will their message actually work? Unfortunately, many Canadians are still obsessing over COVID.

Answers begin to emerge about secret FBI probe of Saudi government complicity in 9/11

Piece by piece, the puzzle of the heavily censored FBI 2012 Summary Report about Operation Encore, the bureau’s once-hush-hush probe of Saudi government involvement in 9/11, appears to be giving up its secrets.

On the vast, often-underground docket of the enormous New York civil case that pits 9/11 victims against Saudi Arabia, court records recently have appeared like answers floating to the surface of an upended Magic 8-Ball.

For the first time, witnesses cited in the 2012 report as having had contact with the suicide hijackers during their early days in the U.S. have been publicly identified. Named, too, is an apparent target of a federal grand jury the report says was then investigating a suspected U.S. support network for the hijackers.

The records also reveal the grand jury was shut down abruptly in 2016 while actively hearing testimony from witnesses.

THIS IS GETTING INSANE: YouTube has suspended the good doctor Sen. Rand Paul for 7 days

Seriously, it’s one thing for a tech platform to censor a commentator like Allie Stuckey or an academic like James Lindsay (as horrible as that still is), but to censor a sitting senator and medical doctor over a point of disagreement on masks?

Still Unsure About Getting The COVID-19 Vaccine? Start Here.

In the early days of the pandemic, there was a real sense of camaraderie. We were all in this together. We stood on our balconies and stoops and leaned out windows to clap for front-line workers. We stayed home to keep each other safe. Now, that altruistic mentality has reverted to the all-too-familiar mean of tribalism. It can feel like the battle lines have been drawn: on one side, those who have been vaccinated, and on the other, those who haven’t.

But things are never that black and white. Even among those who have been vaccinated, many people still have concerns and questions about the vaccine. And among those who haven’t, their reasons for not getting the jab vary from concerns over potential side effects, to a fear of needles, to simply not being able to take time off work. The roughly 30 percent of eligible Americans who have yet to be vaccinated are not all anti-vaccine conspiracy theorists, and treating them as such could make them even less likely to get the shot.
