Diversity in holiday movies improves, but gaps still need to be filled

It’s the most wonderful time of the year to binge-watch holiday movies, with a new slate of festive films being released on the small screen as we head into the winter months. And for an industry that’s long been criticized for its lack of diversity, this year’s seasonal offerings are taking steps toward inclusivity.

One year after airing their first holiday movies featuring LGSTD+ characters in prominent roles, television networks Lifetime and Hallmark are releasing new films starring gay leads, including Under the Christmas Tree, Lifetime’s first movie featuring a lesbian couple.

Leaked Audio Reveals How California Teachers Recruit Kids Into LGBTQ Clubs

A leaked audio recording revealed California teachers mocking parents over concerns about homosexual and transgender indoctrination at school, said a source who attended a recent teachers union conference in Palm Springs.

The recording, obtained by The Epoch Times, captured two seventh-grade teachers, Kelly Baraki and Lori Caldeira from Buena Vista Middle School in Salinas, Calif., telling other teachers how to recruit students into LGBTQ clubs, also known as “Gay-Straight Alliance” (GSA) clubs, at school.

“It was horrifying to listen to not just one teacher but really all of the teachers in all of these seminars, excoriating parents,” said the source, who goes by the pseudonym Rebecca Murphy.

Gay Couple Force Christian Florist to Retire

After nearly a decade of litigation, Christian florist Barronelle Stutzman has agreed to settle with the same-sex couple who sued her for refusing to serve their wedding.

The couple, Rob Ingersoll and Curt Freed, were apparently unable to find any other florists for their same-sex wedding and will be paid $5,000 in exchange for no longer pursuing any damages against Stutzman’s business or personal assets.

Mom Reports School To Police For Promoting Gay Porn Book To Children

A concerned mom says she’s filed a police report against North Kingstown High School in North Kingstown, Rhode Island for promoting a book with gay pornography to minors in the school library.

The pornographic book was published by Lion Forge Comics and is titled “Gender Queer: A Memoir.” It was authored and illustrated by Maia Kobabe, who uses the made-up pronouns of e/em/eir and whose work focuses on “anti-fascism,” according to a description on Amazon.

The Targeting of Military Chaplains Under Biden – He nominates an LGBT activist to oversee them.

Military chaplains who adhere to traditional Christian teaching find themselves with targets on their backs in Joe Biden’s military. Its amorphous definition of “bigotry” clearly extends to the historic teachings of Christianity about the natural moral law. Earlier this year, a chaplain who merely criticized transgenderism in a Facebook post was subject to an Army investigation.

A foreshadowing of the persecution of Christian military chaplains could already be glimpsed under the Obama-Biden administration. In 2010, a top Army official described conservative Christian members of the military as “bigoted” and said those who can’t support the LGBT agenda “need to get out.”
