Funding for community groups a central plank of Canada’s first ever LGBTQ2S+ ‘action plan’

The federal government says it will prioritize direct funding for community groups under Canada’s first ever federal LGBTQ2S+ “action plan,” stating that they are the best-placed organizations to identify and deliver the support needed to address “persisting inequities” and improve the wellbeing of LGBTQ2S+ individuals in this country.

Through the plan, the government is also pledging to study emerging criminal justice issues such as HIV non-disclosure; adopt the usage of the “more inclusive” 2SLGBTQI+ acronym; and launch an awareness campaign aimed at combatting discrimination.

Tell me an election isn’t in the wind. This should be fun as the TERF wars heat up so there’s that.

I hope Justin appoints Laith Marouf as Minister For Gays.

Vivian Bercovici: Laith Marouf embodies critical race theory that is so popular in Ottawa

Laith Marouf, who is now an international household name, seems to have had a bad week. After his many antisemitic twitter rantings became a source of controversy for Ottawa, his government contract was suspended. Explaining why he locked his twitter account, he blames three prominent “Zios” myself included, who he says were “directing their attack dogs” to him.

Is anyone really shocked that a minister in a government that literally hired a racist to call its citizens racists is rudely heckled?

Deputy PM Freeland responds to harassment incident in Alberta

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland has responded to an incident of verbal harassment in Alberta after video of the encounter was widely circulated on social media.

The video, which was shared on Twitter, shows a man and two women waiting at the lobby of Grande Prairie, Alta.’s city hall when Freeland and her staffers enter the building and approach the elevator.

I think “Mandatory Tomato Carry” should be made law making it a “citizens duty to toss” at members of the Trudeau government.

‘No place’ for harassment in Canada: Politicians slam verbal attack against Deputy PM

Across the nation, Canadian politicians – current and former – are denouncing an incident in Alberta during which Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland appeared to have been verbally harassed on Friday.

“There is absolutely no place in our country for the harassment, intimidation and threatening conduct that [Chrystia Freeland] and her staff were subjected to last night,” federal minister of public safety Marco Mendicino said online about the 14-second Twitter video.

Maybe the Prime Minister should cease calling citizens racists and Islamophobes, better yet maybe his government should stop hiring disgusting racists like Laith Marouf.

How an antisemitic bigot named Laith Marouf built a lucrative career as a Canadian government-funded ‘anti-racist’

There are few politicians who’ve embraced the anti-racism movement more fervently than Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. With great fanfare, his government has launched multiple programs intended to eradicate the “racism, discrimination, and xenophobia” that Trudeau describes as being a major contaminant within Canadian society. Alas, it has now been revealed that a major beneficiary of this Liberal anti-racism largesse is one of Canada’s most outspoken bigots, whose company was promised C$130,000 (about US$107,000) in public funds to mount a six-city national tour aimed at “building an anti-racism strategy” within the Canadian broadcasting industry. And the resulting scandal has become international news.

The bigot in question is Laith Marouf, a fanatical Palestinian-rights activist and one-time campus firebrand whose activities I’ve been following, on and off, for two decades—beginning with his 2001 expulsion from Concordia University in Montreal.

‘Powerful tools of White Supremacy’: Embattled anti-racism group speaks out to supporters

The organization embroiled in a scandal after receiving a $133,000 government contract for an anti-racism project, even though one of its founders had sent a slew of bigoted tweets, has finally spoken out, issuing an email to supporters that says “online and mainstream media are powerful tools of White Supremacy.”

Rex Murphy: Yes, Trudeau, there is a case for exporting LNG to Europe

An online story from one of our broadcasters contained an incredible sentence. For — the sentence made sense. Hence, it was incredible.

Here it is: “One economist suggested Europe should drop its focus on climate change and instead prioritize keeping their countries warm and their lights on in the coming months.”

Sleazebag Liberal MP apologizes for tweet implying professor was racist

Liberal MP Chris Bittle is apologizing for implying that University of Ottawa professor Michael Geist was racist during a Twitter dispute.

The tweet stemmed from an argument the two were having about a recent controversy over funding the government had provided to the Community Media Advocacy Centre (CMAC) for an anti-racism project.

Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Minister Ahmed Hussen pulled CMAC’s funding earlier this week after one of the group’s senior members, Laith Marouf, made antisemitic comments on social media.

Hit hard by inflation, Canadians turning to debt to cover expenses

Inflation is likely behind a rising level of debt for about one in four Canadians, a recent survey has found.

While prices slowed marginally in July to 7.6 per cent inflation compared to the whopping 8.1 per cent recorded in June, that has done little to relieve the pressure on Canadians. According to a survey conducted by personal finance site Finder.com, which compares mortgages, credit cards and loans, roughly 7.3 million Canadians over age 18 have used some form of debt to cover their rising costs of living.

Carson Jerema: We’re about to learn how wrong it was to use the Emergencies Act

That using the Emergencies Act to clear out the freedom convoy protest this past winter was an overreaction should be the inescapable conclusion of all but the most ardent of Trudeau apologists. The judicial inquiry set up by the government as required by the act and which begins next month will hopefully provide clearer answers as to why a state of emergency was declared. But, unless previously unheard of evidence that Canada’s democracy really was an inch from collapsing emerges, a terrible precedent will have been set. Don’t agree? Just imagine a future government using the act to clear away, say, climate protesters.

Rex Murphy: What’s the Liberals’ excuse for hiring an ‘anti-racist’ who spews antisemitism?

Here is the essence of the extraordinary story of the Federal Anti-Racism Secretariat and Laith Marouf, its dollar-swaddled beneficiary.

A grant of 133,000 taxpayer dollars is given to the Community Media Advocacy Centre (CMAC) to build an anti-racism strategy for the broadcasting sector. The CMAC’s senior consultant, Laith Marouf, has made multiple antisemitic posts. He is also not kind to Americans or French Canadians. He is a practiced gymnast of vile attitudes.

Years of racist indoctrination and diversity hiring within our government & predatory public service unions are behind the Marouf hiring.

I’m willing to bet that those responsible are shocked anyone could possibly fault them.

Welcome to “Peak Trudeau” – a sick culture that rewards racists.

And don’t for a minute think it will get better because Marouf made headlines.

The Kumbaya Kool-Aid Klan are triumphant. Now shut up and don’t rock the boat.

Trudeau called out for missing ‘crystal clear’ business case for LNG exports

The CEO of a Quebec-based oil and gas company is calling out Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s claim that there has “never been a strong business case” for liquefied natural gas exports from Canada’s East Coast to Europe.

Mario Lévesque, chief executive of Utica Resources, says the rationale for exporting natural gas from Quebec is “crystal clear,” and would generate “tens of billions in royalties and taxes” for Ottawa.

Trudeau’s Green-Scam is more important than the economic well being of you and your children. Your impoverishment is proof to Justin that his plan is working.

Trudeau’s Fake Graves Pogrom Continues: Yet Another Catholic Church Suspiciously Burns Down

Very little is left of a northern Alberta Catholic church that went up in flames early Thursday morning.

RCMP said a blaze at an inactive Catholic church in Fort Chipewyan was reported at 2:34 a.m.

A community member identified the building as the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Roman Catholic Church, built in 1909.

Over 50 churches so far. Trudeau sanctioned this pogrom.
