As houses of worship burn across Canada, radio host calls to ‘burn the churches’

The gruesome discovery of nearly 1,000 unmarked graves at the sites of former boarding schools for indigenous children in Canada has triggered a slew of church burnings across the country, and the flames may have been fanned by the comments of a popular radio host.

Thousands March In Cancel Canada Day Actions

On July 1, several thousand Indigenous people and settler and immigrant allies answered the call of organizations like Idle No More to protest the celebration of Canada Day and the ongoing genocide of Indigenous peoples. Cancel Canada Day actions took place across the land occupied by the Canadian state, from St. John’s, Newfoundland, in the east, to Victoria, B.C., including a march of thousands to parliament in Ottawa.

Multicultural Lobby Uses Indigenous Community To Promote Hatred Of Canada

Born in Saudi Arabia, Hana Mae Nassar’s messaging to Canadians captures something fundamental about the state of contemporary society:

“The country’s relationship with Indigenous people isn’t the only thing Canadians have been reflecting on lately. Legislation targeting Chinese immigrants, the internment of Japanese Canadians, the Komagata Maru tragedy, and the various killings of Muslim Canadians are just some of the events that have tarnished this country’s history with immigrants and racialized people.”

Hana Mae Nassar is unimpressed with Canada. It matters not that our government accepted her into our country in the year 2006. Nor does the fact that neither she, nor her family, lived in Canada at the time of the Chinese Head Tax. Irrelevant it is that the Komagata Maru incident– the flimsiest claim of historical racism ever–had zero impact upon Nasser, or her family.

“C-36 is the legislation of cancel culture”: Ezra Levant on Liberal “hate speech” bill

The Liberal government’s Bill C-36 would let the Canadian Human Rights Commission prosecute people for online speech, and would also give courts the power to take away liberty over fear someone might commit a hate-motivated offence. Former human rights commission defendant Ezra Levant joined True North’s Andrew Lawton to discuss Bill C-36, which Ezra says is the “legislation of cancel culture.”

Jello Tory supports wiping Henry Dundas off city maps

Toronto Mayor John Tory is supporting the renaming of Dundas St. and all other city assets that carry the moniker of Henry Dundas.

A report to next week’s meeting of the executive committee says almost 14,000 people signed a petition last year asking city council to change the street name due to the role the Scottish politician played in delaying the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade in the late 1700s.

School head warns of ‘righteous generation’ of children ‘entrenched in culture of outrage’ that is leaving teachers ‘walking on eggshells’ and ‘terrified to say wrong word’ in class

School head warns of ‘righteous generation’ of children ‘entrenched in culture of outrage’ that is leaving teachers ‘walking on eggshells’ and ‘terrified to say wrong word’ in class

A headmaster has warned that teachers are becoming ‘incredibly anxious’ of being pounced on by pupils over micro-aggressions.

Nicholas Hewlett, head of St Dunstan’s College private school in southeast London, said staff were worried by a ‘righteous generation’ of children who were looking for their teachers to ‘trip up’ on even ‘small, persistent slights’.

Mr Hewlett made headlines earlier this year when he announced he was ‘happily gay and in a same-sex relationship’ during a school assembly.

Jerry Seinfeld Exposes The Problems Of Contemporary Comedy

I hate standup. Always have. I’ve seen a lot of it. “You gotta hear this guy!” “You gotta see her show! Even you would absolutely love it!” You just gotta.

Bleh. Comedians making observations. Pointing out the absurdity of this or that. Coming at life from a slightly skewed angle. It’s so boring! It isn’t insightful. It isn’t even funny. Oh, I’m laughing my head off, sure. I’m surrounded by a bunch of hooting baboons. You have to laugh or they might notice and attack you.
