However, during a Sunday conversation with Erika Kirk at Turning Point USA’s annual AmericaFest, she articulated a moral truth that much of our culture — especially our political culture — seems determined to forget. Her remarks about beauty, pride, and childhood dignity unexpectedly point toward one of the central crises of our time: our inability to forgive, and our obsession with inherited guilt.
The other day, someone asked me for change. I said, “Sorry, I don’t have any.” The response? “F-off and go back to your own country.” It caught me off guard—not because of the aggression, which has sadly become common on our streets, but because of the assumption. Go back to my own country? This is my country. I was born here. I’m Canadian, and I’m proud of it.
Imagine if we abolished the Indian Act and removed special legal status for indigenous peoples.
Then, treaties were terminated, and federal responsibility for indigenous affairs was transferred to the provinces.
What if we eliminated “Indian Status” and assimilated indigenous peoples into mainstream Canadian society as equal citizens?

The stamp honors the service and contributions of Sikh soldiers in the Canadian military dating back to the First World War.
Sandeep Singh Brar, curator of Sikh Museum.com, says the stamp is more than just a tribute to the soldiers.

The federal government is seeking the power to cancel applications for groups of visa holders at least in part due to concerns of fraud from India and Bangladesh, according to internal documents obtained by CBC News.

A Jewish advocacy group released a report on Monday with recommendations to depoliticize Ontario classrooms. It called on the ministry of education to build a curriculum based on achievement, rather than identity.

A Quebec minister responsible for fighting racism is criticizing a ruling by a judge who reduced a convicted Black man’s sentence due to systemic discrimination.
In an interview with The Canadian Press, Christopher Skeete said that someone’s race should not be a factor affecting sentencing for a crime.
“I question whether or not as a society this is exactly where we want to go,” the minister said. “Do we really want to formalize discrimination in the attribution of sentences for people who perpetrate crimes?”
