Transgender Madness: Wisconsin School District Taking Away This Basic Right from Parents

Does your child have issues with gender dysphoria? Are they identifying as a different gender at school and asking teachers to use their preferred pronouns? Do you think this is something you, as their mother or father, should have some control over?

Check your parental privilege, say school administrators in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

In a letter to parents on Oct. 22, the Oshkosh Area School District — saying it was “committed to doing what is best for students and fostering a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment for all” as well as “partnering with families to support the unique needs of every student” — announced it would no longer ask for parental consent if their child changed their gender pronouns or name in the classroom environment.

Obama Says Parent Concerns About School Rapes, Porn, And Learning Loss Are ‘Fake Outrage’

“We don’t have time to be wasted on these phony trumped-up culture wars, this fake outrage, the right-wing media’s pedals to juice their ratings,” Obama said while campaigning for Democrat gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe, adding: “Instead of stoking anger aimed at school boards and administrators, who are just trying to keep our kids safe,… we should be making it easier for teachers and schools to give our kids the world-class education they deserve, and [to do so] safely while they are in the classroom.”

Brooks: Teachers Have Gone ‘Further Left’ While Parents Haven’t, Parental Involvement ‘a Very Bad Issue’ for Dems

On Friday’s “PBS NewsHour,” New York Times columnist David Brooks stated parental involvement in education is “a very bad issue for the Democrats.” Brooks also said that the main cause for the issue is that people in education have gone “further left in the last few years. The median parent has not gone significantly further left. So, there’s a culture gap in the values in the way we talk about history, the way we talk about sexual education and gender issues.”

An elementary school tried to cancel Halloween and Valentine’s Day out of wokeness and parents fought back and the school reversed the decision and that’s how it’s done

On Sept. 21, [Riverside Elementary Principal Ebony] Lattimer informed parents that the traditional Halloween parade and celebration and the annual Valentine’s Day celebration would be replaced to make the school more inclusive. Lattimer’s plan was to replace the Halloween celebration with a book bonanza day that would include a parade where students would be asked to dress up as their favorite book character and celebrate why this character is their favorite. Valentine’s Day would be replaced with an “Upstander Day” in February that would “highlight our students and the Riverside normative culture, as they display the upstander codes of respect, responsibility, safety, and positivity.”

How ‘Socio-Emotional Learning’ Became Another Vehicle For Anti-White Racism In Schools

Parents normally send their children to school (or park them at the computer for pretend school) to learn academic disciplines, including English, math, science, and history. But in most public and some private schools, more and more time is being redirected from academic instruction to “social-emotional learning” (SEL)—the cultivation not of knowledge but of the “correct” attitudes, beliefs, opinions, and behaviors.

Parents Sue California Over Curriculum That Would Allegedly Teach Their Kids How To Pray To Aztec Gods

San Diego parents are suing the State of California for including Aztec prayers in state-approved curricula, the Californians for Equal Rights Foundation (CFER) said in a press release Friday.

The three parents are joined in their lawsuit by CFER. The lawsuit was filed against the state of California, the State Board of Education, the State Department of Education and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond in his official capacity, according to the press release. It contends that the proposed Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum (ESMC) violates the California Constitution’s free exercise of religion and no government aid clauses because it includes Aztec and Ashe affirmations in the curriculum.
