Usually, when people commit unforgivable crimes dealing with children, the perpetrators of such crimes become ‘persona non grata.’ No one wants to know or be associated with them. That is what appeared to take place with ex-CAIR official Ahmad Saleem – who was arrested for soliciting sex from someone whom he believed to be a twelve-year-old girl – until this author discovered that Saleem had been the keynote speaker at what was billed as a ‘Welcome Party’ for boys, at an educational facility in northeast Pakistan. Was hosting this an honest mistake made by the school’s administrators or did they intentionally ignore his dastardly background?

168,000 deleted files recovered from Hunter Biden’s laptop

A cyber forensics expert commissioned by the Washington Examiner recovered over 168,000 deleted files from a copy of Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop.

Many of the deleted files were system files, application files, or duplicates of user files stored elsewhere on the laptop.

Some of the recovered data, however, shed light on his financial dealings in 2018 and early 2019, as well as his personal dealings during that time frame. Also recovered from the drive were deleted pictures of government ID cards for two individuals linked to President Joe Biden’s son.

‘Unreliable’ Canada’s Indo-Pacific absence leaves us on the outside looking in

When U.S. President Joe Biden announced the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) during his recent visit to Tokyo, conspicuously missing from the participants was Canada.

The absence is not an exception, but a pattern. Canada is also not part of the Quad, the AUKUS agreement, nor does it have a free trade agreement with ASEAN.4 Strikingly, unlike Denmark, Germany, the EU, Japan, ASEAN, Australia, India, and the U.S., Canada does not have an Indo-Pacific strategy.

Many in the international community (and at home) are asking: Where is Canada? Why the absence?

To hell with Pride Month: Pride has become pompous, grotesque and intolerant.

I first attended Pride in 1985, aged 16. Back then it was a mere afternoon in a specific place, not beamed from every media device across the Western world for an entire month. It was a bad time to be un-heterosexual, with AIDS at its height and the popular press taking open, casual delight in the deaths of young men.

Even then, I found the concept of ‘Pride’ as something to be celebrated rather odd. I wasn’t, and am still not, remotely proud, or indeed ashamed, of my sexual orientation. I consider it utterly unremarkable, and ideally, I’d like everybody else to feel that way too.

Irpin: Russia’s reign of terror in a quiet neighbourhood near Kyiv
