Sometimes the best questions are the ones not being asked.
In the Canadian political arena there are a couple or more in that category.
I’ll go to the biggest one right off the bat: Why and how has the “goal” of getting to net-zero emissions become such a doctrine?
On Wednesday, the United Kingdom announced it will lift all COVID restrictions on Jan. 26, based on the mildness of Omicron and how it’s receding.
Ontario is long overdue to play catch-up with the United States’ more evolved approach to managing the virus, and now it looks like we’ll be left playing catch-up with the U.K., as well.
We can hope.

“I’m willing to be of paramount service to the Chinese government,” disgruntled naval engineer Qing Quentin Huang said during one of two calls to the Chinese Embassy in Ottawa, unaware the line had been wiretapped by the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS).
Those phone calls in November 2013 led the RCMP to arrest Huang in Burlington, Ont., for allegedly attempting to spy for China. At the time, the Mounties told the public his actions were “a threat to Canada.”
Ont. reports 75 more deaths linked to COVID-19, lowest positivity rate in nearly a month
Officials reported another 75 virus-related deaths today, which the province says happened over a 19-day span within the past month. This is the highest daily total logged since Jan. 17, 2021, when 76 deaths were reported.
Another 7,757 new lab-confirmed cases were confirmed today but due to testing restrictions, that number is likely significantly lower than the true total.
With 42,907 tests processed over the past 24 hours, officials are reporting a provincewide positivity rate of 15.9 per cent, the lowest positivity rate in nearly a month.
4,061 people are hospitalized with #COVID19. 55% were admitted to the hospital for COVID-19 and 45% were admitted for other reasons but have tested positive for COVID-19.

As unvaccinated workers sue for wrongful dismissal, Ottawa working on shielding employers
When Prime Minister Justin Trudeau unveiled his election platform on Sept. 1, he made a promise to employers: “we’ll protect businesses that mandate vaccinations from unjustified lawsuits.”
Now, employment lawyers say lawsuits from fired unvaccinated workers are beginning to pile up — and the federal government’s protections are nowhere to be seen.
Biden is pushing for passage of the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, which would nationalize federal election laws. Republicans have blocked efforts to nationalize federal election laws, often arguing it subverts the Constitution.
Truckers opposed to federal Covid-19 vaccine mandates are preparing to converge on Ottawa in a protest expected to draw a convoy of at least 1600 rigs, according to organizers.
The Democrats and the propaganda ministry have tried to portray the events of January 6 as the greatest assault on democracy… in like, forever. But it seems like that narrative is starting to unravel. The unraveling began when many people began to suspect that the whole thing was a setup and started looking into it.

The proposal, called the “Victims’ Justice Ordinance,” was introduced as Lightfoot is under pressure to crack down on Chicago’s gun violence and high homicide rate. It was expected to prompt legal challenges from civil rights attorneys and social justice organizations, who believe the measure could wrongly accuse Black and Latino residents of being involved in gang activity.
As China wrestles with its recent series of COVID-19 outbreaks, Beijing has thrown a new allegation into the mix: that remains of the virus on a postal package from Canada could be the source of its Omicron outbreak in the capital.
Virginia enacted a Clean Economy Act; other states have implemented similar laws. AOC demands a national Green New Deal; President Biden is imposing one via executive decree.
The United Kingdom is determined to reach Net-Zero greenhouse gas emissions; the European Union is pursuing a Green Deal.
All these policies send energy prices rocketing upward, eliminating jobs and killing people.
Instead of reducing emissions, they simply move them overseas, where they combine with massive air and water pollution, habitat destruction, and wildlife decimation – as China and other countries burn more coal, oil, and gas every year to improve their people’s living standards … and to mine and process raw materials for the wind turbines, solar panels, and battery modules they manufacture for climate-obsessed nations.
The net result: Progress toward global Net Zero is zero – worse than zero – and all the lost jobs, rising poverty, reduced living standards and policy-driven deaths are for nothing.

Any political observer worth their salt understands the relentless nature of Justin Trudeau’s woke liberal agenda. Simply put– it never stops. As a result of Covid, an attack on personal freedom has permeated society. Our physical selves are restricted from myriad activities. If one looks deep enough, parallels with social structure in authoritarian states can be seen.
Jordan Peterson has become an increasingly outspoken critic of COVID lockdowns and mandates in recent weeks, using his large platform on Twitter to push back against the restrictions in Canada and around the world. He has even called for civil disobedience in some cases, warning that even more freedoms could be lost if people don’t stand up for their rights.
In June 2021, three Ministers of the Crown announced that “…the Government of Canada is setting a mandatory target for all new light-duty cars and passenger trucks sales to be zero-emission by 2035…”
This announcement came conveniently right before calling a federal election and was reaffirmed by the Prime Minister in a post-election (he won) mandate letter to the responsible minister.

For two years, as we have watched the various governments around the world pushing the COVID-19 vaccination, many have asked this question? The demand and effort is wildly disproportionate to the risk. So why has this vaccination program been so severely pushed, including the mandates and requirements that everyone must follow in order to participate in society? Why this scale of effort?
Mask mandates have always been more about showing compliance than keeping people safe, and the CDC’s latest embarrassing disclosure further proves it.
I don’t know about you, but it’s something that has been niggling around the corners of my mind for the last two years. Will I be turned in by my neighbors or family members for non-compliance regarding Covid? I mean, I took the first to Moderna doses of the vaccine, but I haven’t been boosted. I think vaccines are important for the eradication of illnesses, but I also believe in therapeutics. I have been taking Vitamins C and D and the mineral Zinc for years, and for Covid, I added the flavonoid Quercetin. I think masks are stupid, but I am a big fan of social distancing, always. I watch my diet, because I believe obesity is deadly. The Hubs and I walk every day, because fresh air and exercise are healthy. I am not an American Covid Zombie. I think for myself. That makes me an enemy of the Centers for Disease Control. How about you?
In the wake of last weekend’s terrorist attack that targeted a Texas synagogue, a highly trained FBI professional said, in effect, the attack had nothing to do with the Jewish community. That he felt the need or was trained to make such a risibly false statement needs to be investigated.
