Democrats may soon cut the price tag of their latest spending bill somewhere below $3.5 trillion, but they are still desperate to get you to pay for some of it. That is why they are trying to raise $460 billion by taking your banking data.

New Brunswick police arrested associate pastor Cody Butler on Sunday at His Tabernacle Family Church after holding a worship service that exceeded the “health limit” arbitrarily set by the government. Authorities literally padlocked the church.

Finance minister says Canada willing to impose digital services tax if the accord fails.
Wherever one personally draws the line on free speech, one simple fact ought to be obvious: The Liberals’ plans to target ‘online harms’ would create an unholy mess.
Urgent passport services have been available throughout the pandemic, but with borders closed and public health measures in place most people had little use for them.
Saskatoon Police claim to have put 160 hours into this case and are desperately seeking the public’s help in identifying 15 individuals:

Northern Virginia parents plan to protest in front of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. Sunday, according to a flyer posted online.
A flyer reveals plans for a “Parents Are Not ‘Domestic Terrorists’ Rally Oct. 17. “Stand up, speak up, fight back!” the memo reads. “Bring friends, be heard … you can make a difference!”
Just before the world shut down, Paramount held a screening at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, followed by a Q&A in which an audience member asked a question we never used to receive: “Could you make ‘Airplane!’ today?”
My response: “Of course, we could. Just without the jokes.”
There is a massive propaganda push against those choosing not to vaccinate against COVID-19 with the experimental mRNA vaccines. Mainstream media, the big tech corporations, and our government have combined efforts to reward compliance and to shame and marginalize non-compliance. Their mantra says that this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. Persons who choose not to vaccinate are characterized as unintelligent, selfish, paranoid people who don’t read much and live in a trailer park in Florida (or Alabama, or Texas, or name your state). Never has there been such an effort to cajole, manipulate through fear, and penalize people to take an experimental medical treatment.

Glenn Reynolds has said for many years that putting children in public school is a form of child abuse. Events in Virginia’s Loudoun County Public Schools (“LCPS”) prove his point.
Earlier this week, the bombshell news was that Scott Smith, the father who, for the left, became the poster child for alleged “domestic terrorism” at school board meetings, was upset because the school board and superintendent were denying his daughter’s sexual assault at Stone Bridge high school, and refused to let him speak of it, after which an activist parent allegedly accused him of lying and threatened to destroy him. Now, Luke Rosiak, who broke that first story, is back with the news that LCPS has failed at least twice to record sexual assaults, despite being legally required to do so.

“Che Guevara’s contribution to the Bay of Pigs victory was crucial,” writes Che hagiographer Jorge Castaneda, also a New York Times contributor, visiting Professor at Columbia, Princeton, Harvard, and NYU, and former Mexican Foreign Minister. “Che’s military leadership was permeated by an indomitable will that permitted extraordinary feats.”

Homelessness and RV fires have overrun Venice Beach, California.
Venice Beach, a three-and-a-half-mile-long seaside community in Los Angeles, now counts more than 2,000 homeless people living on its streets. With a homeless population second in size only to that of Skid Row, the town is now dubbed Venice-zuela by locals.

It is hard to watch, but justice is being pursued 76 years later
A former SS guard who worked at Sachsenhausen concentration camp near Berlin from 1942-1945 must now stand trial in Germany under tight security measures. It has taken 76 years for this case to be brought in front of a court.
When the accused appeared there last week, he cut a sorry figure as he laboriously pushed himself forward on his rollator with oner liver-spotted hand, while shielding his face from the cameras with the other. It is hard to believe that the frail, 100-year-old in the home-knitted jumper was once in the SS.

First there was the multifaceted disaster of the way Biden’s handlers’ woke military mishandled the withdrawal from Afghanistan. Now another Biden catastrophe is in the offing, but Team Biden is working hard to cover it up. “You know what they’re hiding?” asked Jonathan Wilcox, a spokesman for Rep. Darrell Issa (D-CA). “The latest Afghanistan disaster from the Biden administration. The White House is turning the page and closing the door.” Wilcox said this after a bipartisan delegation from the House, including some members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, was denied admission to Camp As Sayliyah, a U.S.-run military facility in Qatar where over two thousand America-bound Afghan evacuees are currently being housed. The reason why became clear in the briefing the lawmakers received before they were turned away.

I have many fond memories of visiting the Art Institute of Chicago, an art lover’s heaven on earth. With 300,000 works of art, visitors can easily get lost inside AIC. However, thanks to their friendly and knowledgeable docents, I was able to quickly find my old favorites and discover new art and artists during each of my past visits.
I was shocked to learn that AIC fired all of its 82 docents last month because most of them are white. Corporate media largely neglected to report the story, probably because it doesn’t fit a particular woke narrative.

I understand why they go out, “but it isn’t helpful to do it in a way that alienates people,” explained Prince Charles of Insulate Britain, in an interview this week in which he also revealed, somewhat alienatingly, that he’d had his Aston Martin converted to run on “surplus English white wine and whey from the cheese process”.
At long last, a line to eclipse Ed Begley Jr’s from an old episode of The Simpsons, in which the actor explains that his preferred vehicle is “a go-kart, powered by my own sense of self-satisfaction”. A deeply committed environmental activist, Begley has always been able to take the piss out of himself – a pastime you sense has never been top or even bottom of Prince Charles’s to-do list. Or, in fact, of the to-do list of the many, many servants who do for him in his many, many residences.

A series of horrifying videos posted to social media show a Subway worker in Providence, Rhode Island, walking through food on the counter before throwing it on the floor, decorating the bathroom with sandwich ingredients and drinking out of bottles before putting them back.
Jumanne, who goes by Jumanne Way – a play on the fast-food restaurant Subway – on YouTube, posted a series of stomach-churning videos showing him vandalizing the restaurant.
A new U.S. Navy order released this week says all active-duty Navy personnel who don’t get a COVID-19 vaccine by an upcoming deadline will be discharged—with possible financial repercussions as well.
The order applies to any sailor that is not fully vaccinated against the virus that causes COVID-19 by Nov. 28 and has not received a religious or medical exemption or has an application for an exemption pending.
Today, let’s consider the bafflegab Environment Minister Jonathan Wilkinson has been spouting recently about the Liberal record on climate change versus the Conservative one.
It’s an appropriate time to do so as a huge, 12-day United Nations conference on climate change in Glasgow, Scotland will begin Nov. 1, when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Wilkinson will be talking about the issue endlessly.

“… The Guardian has revealed the suspect, aged 25, was previously known to the Prevent scheme, the official programme to stop radicalisation. His involvement was short, according to multiple sources. He has no known previous terrorist involvement.”
