Biden Must Abandon Nuclear Negotiations with Iran

US President Joe Biden must give serious consideration to abandoning his ill-conceived plan to revive the nuclear deal with Tehran following the election victory of Iran’s new hardline president, Ebrahim Raisi.

The appointment of the 60-year-old Mr Raisi as Iran’s eighth president since the 1979 revolution means that, far from being prepared to make any further concessions in the nuclear talks, the regime under his leadership is certain to adopt a far more aggressive and uncompromising stance in its dealings with the US and its allies.

With no fixed voting day, no election spending rules constrain political party ads

Canadian party leaders worked their way around the country this week, in what some see as a sure sign the pandemic is near its end, but also as proof that a federal election is on its way.

But with the fixed-election date still more than two years away, does a pre-election campaign that looks like a pre-election campaign and smells like a pre-election campaign, actually qualify as a pre-election campaign?

Trudeau campaigns on the tax payer dime 24/7, it’s a feature not a bug.

President Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) requested last year that the University of Montana restrict access to her controversial master’s thesis, which advocated for the creation of population control propaganda for environmental reasons.

Probably insane.

Former Catholic Priest: Don’t Expect the Bishops to Rebuke Biden. They’ve Lost Their Moral Authority

Ray Gardella, a former Catholic priest and author of the new book Jesus Versus Christianity, told PJ Media that it is extremely unlikely the U.S. Roman Catholic bishops will rebuke President Joe Biden or prevent him from taking Communion in its forthcoming statement on the Eucharist. Gardella said the Catholic Church — along with Christian churches in general — has lost its moral authority and often sacrifices the gospel of Jesus to follow the secular culture.

Is Israel preparing for the inevitable civil war in the West Bank?

As President Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken ponder how to entice the Palestinian Authority (PA) to negotiate with Israel, a far more significant problem is being ignored. The Biden team marched along, facilitating a transfer of money to the PA and reopened the U.S. consulate in East Jerusalem, another Palestinian demand, without tangible reciprocity. But this will not reveal the elephant in the room: an inevitable, coming uprising by Hamas in the West Bank.

Doubts raised about who was behind the assassination of Haiti’s president

Questions have been raised over Haiti’s official narrative for the assassination of its president, Jovenel Moïse, who was gunned down at his mansion in Port-au-Prince last Wednesday.

Haitian police and the politicians who stepped into the political vacuum created by Moïse’s killing have claimed he was shot at about 1am by members of a predominantly Colombian hit squad who had stormed the president’s hillside residence. “Foreigners came to our country to kill the president,” police chief Léon Charles alleged after the shooting.

… On Friday, Steven Benoit, a prominent opposition politician and former senator, told the local radio station Magik9: “The president was assassinated by his own guards, not by the Colombians.”

Forget about it Jake. It’s Haiti.

Police officers sue California city over mural depicting convicted law enforcement killer

Five California police officers sued the city of Palo Alto after officials commissioned a mural featuring a convicted law enforcement killer.

In June 2020, authorities approved 16 paintings that spelled out “Black Lives Matter” in a 245-foot-long display, according to a lawsuit filed in a superior court. The letter “E” portion of the mural featured Joanne Chesimard, better known as Assata Shakur, who was convicted in 1977 for the murder of New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster before she escaped confinement and fled to Cuba for refuge.

The FBI classifies her as a most-wanted terrorist.
