When COVID-19 shut down her children’s daycare in May of 2020, and Melissa Henderson had to go to work, she asked her 14-year-old daughter, Linley, to babysit the four younger siblings. Linley was engaged in remote learning when her youngest brother, four-year-old Thaddeus, spied his friend outside and went over to play with him. It was about 10 or 15 minutes before Linley realized he was missing. She guessed that he must be at his friend’s house, and went to fetch him.
In the meantime, the friend’s mom had called the police.

On Saturday, I attended the Freedom Rally in Winnipeg in front of the Manitoba Legislature.
Here’s what I saw:
A large group of boisterous, happy, welcoming, and patriotic Canadians of all backgrounds.
The biggest thing that stood out was how many people were smiling, and how big those smiles were. This is being repeated throughout the nation at rallies and gatherings.
After years of governments trying to keep us afraid, angry, divided, and isolated, it turns out that being happy and gathering is one of the best ways to show our defiance.

Teneile Warren made the statement on Friday over Twitter. It was made from behind a protected account but was shown to True North by an anonymous source.
“WPs are scared right now. History is paved with white-led violence almost always in the name of “freedom”. WPs built a system on the narrative that these acts of violence were well intentioned & necessary. The system is (sic) never stops it because this is how it fuels itself,” Tweeted Warren.
