Largest North Carolina school district tells teachers to ignore white parents’ concerns over critical race theory in curriculum

City Journal’s Christopher Rufo reports that the Wake County public school system, which operates in the state’s Raleigh area, recently held an equity training session that advised teachers on the inclusion of critical race theory in curricula. The unsubstantiated theory teaches that systemic racism is baked into the United States and the West in general, and calls for the dismantling of allegedly white supremacist structures.

Near George Floyd Square: Revolution by day, devolution by night

The neighbors surrounding the site of George Floyd’s death in south Minneapolis are asking for prayers, and help.

As neighbors of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue, also known as George Floyd Square or the autonomous zone, we are witnessing a revolution by day and a devolution by night.

Prayer gatherings canceled. Rallies canceled. Visitors arriving with flowers in hand, only to retreat to their cars when greeted by the sound of gunshots. Neighbors ducking for cover behind our houses, children in tow.

The spiritual health of our community, the feeling of being connected to something larger than ourselves, is collapsing.

George Floyd death: How will jurors be selected in Derek Chauvin trial?

…A pool of eligible local citizens has been called to appear by Hennepin County in Minnesota. From them, a jury of 12 and four alternates will be selected. It could take weeks.

Although it is highly unlikely potential jurors will have no prior knowledge of the case – George Floyd’s death in May last year in Minneapolis inspired weeks of global protests – they will be questioned to determine whether they will be able to judge Derek Chauvin fairly.

The prosecution and defence can both ask Judge Peter Cahill to dismiss a potential juror “for cause” if they perceive bias. The prosecution can also dismiss nine potential jurors – and the defence team 15 – without giving any reason, although this can be objected to.

With nine jurors seated as of Monday afternoon, the defense was granted a motion to eventually recall those who’d already been seated before the city of Minneapolis delivered the largest-ever civil settlement to the family of George Floyd on Friday.

Dems Claim ‘Far-Right’ Most Embraces Violence, Jordan Peterson Begs to Differ and Brings Receipts to Prove It

Throughout the summer of 2020, we watched rampaging Black Lives Matter Marxists and Antifa anarchists try their damnedest to burn America’s cities to the ground and create as much chaos as possible. Or as Pelosi & Co. saw it, “justifiable peaceful protests.”

As the riots continued, night after night, week after week, month after month, Democrat after Democrat trotted out before a television camera, or onto a CNN or MSNBC set to remind America that “far-right extremists” are far more likely to embrace violence as means to achieve political goals, and peaceful, “buy the world a Coke and teach it to sing in perfect harmony” Democrats were anything but.

In other words, the Democrat Party and its liberal media sock puppets told you not to believe your “lying” eyes as you watched building after building torched, and small business after small business destroyed — many, permanently —along with the livelihoods of hardworking Americans who built those businesses.

Turns out the Democrats were the “misinformed” — not your eyes.

Also turns out that white liberals are far more likely to support using violence to advance their political agenda — than any other demographic in the country. Shocked? Me, neither.

Scammer charged with money laundering & wire fraud after bilking $450k from donors for fake Black Lives Matter charity, DOJ says

A fraudster has been indicted on federal charges for his alleged role in swindling hundreds of thousands of dollars from donors who thought they were giving to a Black Lives Matter group, instead pocketing the funds for himself.

Officials claim he ultimately took in more than $450,000.

Minneapolis to pay $27 million to settle lawsuit with George Floyd’s family

Minneapolis will pay $27 million to settle a lawsuit brought by George Floyd’s family, a new record for a police payout in the city.

After a roughly 40-minute meeting, City Council members voted unanimously to approve the settlement, and Mayor Jacob Frey’s office said he will approve it as well.

Of the $27 million, $500,000 will be used “for the benefit of the community around 38th and Chicago,” where Floyd died.

George Floyd memorial site reportedly now an anti-cop autonomous zone

Left-wing militants have reportedly turned a memorial site for George Floyd in Minneapolis into a “volatile” autonomous zone — where police and even other protesters aren’t welcome.

The memorial, called George Floyd Square, popped up in the days after the 46-year-old’s police-involved death on May 25 — the catalyst for a global movement against police brutality and racial inequality.

“The reason why you get to be here in these pretty little gorgeous outfits and your gorgeous hair and your gorgeous bows is because of your white privilege,” Jones said, according to the station. “Breonna [Taylor] is dead. Black mothers are burying their babies while white mothers send their daughters to cheer competitions.”

Reality Is Inconvenient – Minneapolis May Be On Fire Again Tomorrow

In Washington, D.C., Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and their allies have made the calculus that the best hope they have of breaking the rising power of populism in the country is to brand all those who dare oppose them as white supremacists and insurrectionists. To that end they have ringed the Capitol with fences and razor wire and deployed what amounts to an occupying army of National Guardsmen, who spend their days starting blankly at an empty Mall and wondering when they will be allowed to go home and return to their lives.

Inside the government the hunt is on for “extremists,” The military recently declared a standdown in fact on other activities so that commanders could focus the needed attention on the growing danger in the ranks. Joe Biden himself has made known his concern about the threat from veterans and former law enforcement officers.

Meanwhile, in Minneapolis, epicenter of the outbreak of left wing violence that gutted our cities last year, the story is completely different. There, in the real world, the one that Pelosi, her allies and their lackeys in the corporate media cannot quite make go away, the city is bracing for a firestorm as the trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin approaches.
