In the wake of Attorney General Merrick Garland’s announcement that he plans to sic the FBI on concerned parents who speak out at school board meetings against critical race theory and COVID restrictions, Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) blasted the Biden administration and said Americans should “be afraid of your government.”
President Biden on Wednesday resorted to histrionics, saying that a “meteor” could crash into the US economy if Congress doesn’t raise the government’s debt ceiling — even as Republicans noted that Democrats can simply lift the spending cap on their own.
Speaking on the mounting debt burden he said: “Margaret Thatcher would not have ignored this meteorite that has just crashed through the public finances. She would have wagged her finger and said that more borrowing now is just higher interest rates and even higher taxes later.”
NASA made a startling announcement that it will be making an attempt to deflect an asteroid in space from hitting the Earth. The plan is to launch a spacecraft in late November to literally smash into “one of the two asteroids, known as Didymoon, at roughly 13,500mph on October 2, 2022” reports The Daily Mail.

However, normalcy bias seems to have a firm hold on a majority of the citizens of the US, and many are clinging to the “it can’t happen here” theory.
President Joe Biden is pushing forward on an executive order calling for 30 percent of U.S. land be “conserved” — up from the 13 percent that are national parks and other federal holdings — including private property. And while environmentalists want even more restrictions, Republicans and Americans whose livelihood depends on land are strongly opposed to what they see as a land grab by the federal government.
