The Army War College Goes Woke

They say the army needs to ferret out the “far-right extremists.”

Parameters is the quarterly publication of the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Earlier this year on the Real Clear Defense website, I wrote an article celebrating the 50th anniversary of Parameters. I praised the journal and its editors for publishing important articles by both military and civilian writers. I noted that past issues had featured the works of Gen. Omar Bradley, Gen. Maxwell Taylor, Sidney Hook, Guenter Lewy, S.L.A. Marshall, Michael Howard, and Edward Luttwak. But now it seems that the “woke revolution” has infiltrated the War College with the latest issue of Parameters that features an article entitled “The Alt-Right Movement and U.S. National Security,” by Matthew Valasik, associate professor of sociology at Louisiana State University, and Dr. Shannon Reid, associate professor of criminal justice and criminology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

An elementary school tried to cancel Halloween and Valentine’s Day out of wokeness and parents fought back and the school reversed the decision and that’s how it’s done

On Sept. 21, [Riverside Elementary Principal Ebony] Lattimer informed parents that the traditional Halloween parade and celebration and the annual Valentine’s Day celebration would be replaced to make the school more inclusive. Lattimer’s plan was to replace the Halloween celebration with a book bonanza day that would include a parade where students would be asked to dress up as their favorite book character and celebrate why this character is their favorite. Valentine’s Day would be replaced with an “Upstander Day” in February that would “highlight our students and the Riverside normative culture, as they display the upstander codes of respect, responsibility, safety, and positivity.”

‘Bodies with vaginas’?! Lancet slammed for ‘erasing women’ after promoting latest issue with controversial quote

The prestigious medical journal, The Lancet, is in hot water over its latest issue. A quote on the cover from a senior editor has triggered widespread outrage on social media for “dehumanizing” and “erasing” women.

“Historically, the anatomy and physiology of bodies with vaginas have been neglected,” says the pull quote on the cover of its latest issue, with a publication date of September 25.

New executive of Marvel universe says studio could drop the ‘Men’ from ‘X-Men’ over concerns the title is not ‘inclusive’

Marvel Studios’ new ‘woke’ president Victoria Alonso is considering dropping the ‘Men’ from ‘X-Men’ to make the brand name more ‘inclusive.’

In a recent interview with Nuke the Fridge, Alonso, who just four days ago was promoted to president of Physical, Post Production, VFX, and Animation, ‘hinted that internal thinking is that the name ‘X-Men’ isn’t sufficiently inclusive.’

‘I don’t know where the future is going. It’s funny that people call it the X-Men, there’s a lot of female superheroes in that X-Men group, so I think it’s outdated,’ she said.

‘White’s not a culture?’ White students stand up to black peers demanding they leave ‘multicultural’ college space

Socially conscious Monopoly-style game, Blacks & Whites, uses race and privilege as currency: ‘Watch out for greedy white people or you may go bankrupt!’

Comedy duo Never Sad got the green light to reboot ’70s racial equity game Blacks & Whites, which, like Monopoly, revolves around the buying and selling of real estate.

The revamped game, Blacks & Whites: 50th Anniversary Edition, notes that the game character’s race is “crucial to the player’s success in the game” — meaning that the cards are figuratively stacked against black characters.

CVS launches a program that forces hourly employees to discuss their “privilege.”

The Covid era’s politicization of expertise means we now have medics lecturing us on climate change

Would you go to a geologist for a cancer diagnosis? Of course not. So why should we listen to 200 medical journal editors pontificating about the climate emergency? Their intervention in the debate is unwelcome and unnecessary.

Disney whistles a revisionist toon as it redraws Jessica Rabbit

Of all America’s pin-ups, from Rita Hayworth to Pamela Anderson, Jessica Rabbit may be the most unusual. The redheaded femme fatale is tall, sultry and spectacularly curvaceous. She is also a cartoon.

Now the nightclub singer from the 1988 comedy Who Framed Roger Rabbit is again breaking a mould, this time as the latest symbol of cultural revisionism in Walt Disney’s worldwide theme parks.

Last week the Walt Disney Company announced that it was updating the Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin ride at Disneyland in California to reinvent Jessica as a lead character with an agency of her own rather than a slinkily dressed victim of male violence. She will no longer be the louche character Kathleen Turner breathed into cinematic life with the immortal line, “I’m not bad, I’m just drawn that way”, but a female detective cleaning up a weasel crimewave in 1947 Los Angeles — much as the late Bob Hoskins’s private eye character Eddie Valiant did in the original film.

Both woke Leftists and the Taliban destroy books

Strange that it is not only the Taliban who are destroying children’s books, but also our liberal wokes.

The Taliban took control of the Norwegian embassy in Kabul and destroyed bottles of wine and children’s books. It was the Norwegian ambassador to Iran, Sigvald Hauge, who revealed what happened in the Norwegian embassy in Kabul, abandoned during the August escape of those from Western countries.
Nothing strange, no surprise, unless you believed that the “Taliban have changed”, as so many idiots with a certain weight in the press have repeated for weeks.

Strange, however, that it is not only the Taliban who are destroying children’s books, but also our Tolerants.

In recent days, in Canada, Asterix, Tintin and Lucky Luke were set on fire in Ontario schools (Hergé’s “Tintin in Congo” has become virtually unobtainable in America). These are the imposters of Progress who have just destroyed 5,000 children’s books in a “purification ceremony”.

Virginia Tech instructor apologizes to students of color for being white

Too stupid to live

“I am a Caucasian cisgender female and first-generation college student from Appalachia who is of Scottish, British and Norwegian heritage,” Lane’s syllabus read, a screenshot shows.

“I am married to a cisgender male, and we are middle class. While I did not ‘ask’ for the many privileges in my life: I have benefitted from them and will continue to benefit from them whether I like it or not. This is injustice.”

Woke Colleges Have No Tolerance for Freedom or White People

In the list of 45 communist goals, as read into the Congressional Record on January 10, 1963, you’ll find #17:

17) Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teacher’s associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
How are they doing? If you’re a communist, you’d be breaking out the Stolichnaya.

Making kids behave in class is ‘white supremacy’ says racist Virginia high school teacher

Racist as Fuck

A Virginia high school teacher is under fire for calling efforts to make kids behave in class “the definition of white supremacy.”

Josh Thompson, an English teacher at Blacksburg High School, posted a since-deleted TikTok video attacking the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program used in Montgomery County schools, Fox News said.

The teacher called the techniques that help reduce disruptive student behavior “white supremacy with a hug.”

The problem with white saviours

There is a logical fallacy called the Kafka Trap. It describes the condition of always being wrong. If you are accused of something, and you deny it, that denial is taken as an admission of guilt; only a guilty party would go out of their way to deny an allegation of wrongdoing. Alternatively, if you say nothing in the face of the allegation, that’s also an admission of guilt: your silence means you have accepted the allegation.

Many describe Franz Kafka’s disenchanted fables as tragic. And this is certainly true. But they are also farcical. To watch someone being relentlessly wrong can be grimly enjoyable — as long as you’re not the person in question.

The term white feminism, as it is commonly used today, is a classic example of the Kafka Trap. If you show too much interest in the lives of people of colour, you risk being accused of white saviourism — which is another way of saying you have a suspiciously condescending attitude to people of colour. But if you don’t show enough interest, you are insufficiently intersectional. You only care about the white, middle-class cisgendered women in your social circle.

It’s Time to Acknowledge Anti-White Racism

As any student of George Orwell knows, no authoritarian government can ever gain complete control unless it commandeers people’s thinking through the manipulation of language. Thus, the dystopian powers in “1984” deliberately turned the meaning of words upside-down in a process known as double-think.

The same process is happening today with the words used to discuss racism. In true Orwellian fashion, Ibram X. Kendi (pictured) insists that the only way to fight racism is to embrace racial discrimination in perpetuity. This “anti-racism,” as he calls it, is as likely to stamp out genuine racism as Orwell’s Ministry of Truth was apt to stamp out falsehoods.
