Scholastic pulls popular children’s book from ‘Captain Underpants’ author for ‘passive racism’

TORONTO — Scholastic says it has ceased publication of an illustrated children’s book from the author of “Captain Underpants” due to themes of “passive racism.”

The graphic novel, originally published in 2010 and called “The Adventures of Ook and Gluk: Kung-Fu Cavemen from the Future,” will no longer be distributed, according to a statement released by Scholastic.

“On Monday, March 22, 2021, with the full support of Dav Pilkey, Scholastic halted distribution of the 2010 book ‘The Adventures of Ook and Gluk.’ Together, we recognize that this book perpetuates passive racism,” the publisher said in the statement.

…On Thursday, Newton had reached the part of his workshop that dealt with a book by author Pierre Vallières, the title of which contains the N-word. Vallières was a leader within the Front de Libération du Québec (FLQ) who committed acts of terror.

Vallières’ book drew parallels between the plight of French-speaking Quebecers and the civil rights struggle of African Americans.

According to Newton, he started explaining to students that the parallel was not a fair and valid one, and that’s when he says the white teacher cut him off and began to argue.

The CBC is a culture of woke self flagellants which they attempt to force on tax payers.

Weaponizing Race and Gender

Perhaps the most frightening thing happening in America is the weaponizing of race and gender. We need to be wary, because this is a war for power. This is a war to deny American citizens our Constitutional rights and to create a totalitarian society controlled by the woke left.

We must not allow this to happen, or it will mean the defeat of all the principles and all the freedoms that this country was built upon. The latest battle in this war is the media coverage of, and the Democrat talking points about, the horrific recent shootings in Atlanta. But I believe the war started years ago.

In a Monday interview with Fox News’ Harris Faulkner, former President Donald Trump said China is laughing at the United States over the U.S. focus on “woke” political issues and thinks the U.S. is “stupid” for focusing on those issues.

“When China looks at woke, they see the biggest problem we have is Dr. Seuss,” Trump said. “In the meantime, they’re building factories and trying to kill us in so many different ways. They laugh at us.”

The black vice president of the San Francisco school board is refusing to resign amid fierce backlash over a series of racist tweets she made against Asian-Americans in 2016 – including that they use “white supremacist thinking” to “get ahead.”

The school district’s entire senior staff on Sunday denounced Vice President Alison Collins, saying she hasn’t adequately taken responsibility for the shocking tweets, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Even worse than first revealed.

De Blasio’s Thuggish Plan Would Have Cops Pounding on Doors of Suspected Racists

Crime is up dramatically in New York City. The New York Police Department is spread thin because of retirements, leaving the officer’s union to say that the anti-cop sentiment among officials in city hall had left the “NPYD broken, almost beyond repair.”

So naturally, what Mayor Bill de Blasio thinks the NYPD should be doing is knocking on people’s doors if they’re suspected of saying something hateful.

It’s a mockery of the U.S. military.” Put simply, he believes the Pentagon has the wrong priorities—and he’s right. Consider that since 2016, the military has also spent roughly $8 million on hormone therapy and surgical treatments for 1,500 transgender troops. How does this prepare America for a seemingly inevitable confrontation with China?
