Police east of Toronto say they are expecting to see as many as 1,000 Hells Angels members as the club holds its national motorcycle run this weekend.
“We do not want to create panic,” Durham Regional Police Service Deputy Chief Dean Bertrim said at a news conference Monday ahead of the event. “But we have an obligation, and in all fairness, I have a responsibility, to make sure that our community is aware and provided the accurate information.”

It’s important to note that Canadians’ frustration with government didn’t start with the pandemic. Housing prices in much of the country were already a problem, in large part due to municipal obstructionism. Timely health care was a perennial gripe, featuring long wait times and federal-provincial finger-pointing over who should foot the bill.
Our military is starved of both jets and ships. Many rural Indigenous reserves remain without potable water. Money laundering is rampant. And the Trudeau government had developed a well-earned reputation for being really good at announcing things, but not so good at delivering them.
The Dutch farmers have had it and they are not going to take it anymore. There has been burning of bales on major roadways, spraying manure at government buildings and even the police, blocking food distribution centers and roadways, and a supermarket company funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation went up in flames. There has even been a purchase of a tank and a tractor converted into a tank circulating on social media. At concerts the Dutch people have been supporting their farmers with everyone wearing red kerchiefs, straw hats, and throwing straw in the air like confetti. The grocery shelves in Holland are emptying rapidly with real food shortage: “No farmers. No Food.” is how the farmers have put it very succinctly.
