Municipalities wrote letters to the police: Stop Paludan

After the violent riots, two municipalities have appealed to the police not to give Rasmus Paludan new permits for Koran burning.

During the Easter weekend, the Danish politician Rasmus Paludan had received a police permit to carry out Koran burning in several cities: Linköping, Jönköping, Norrköping , Malmö, Örebro and Stockholm.

In several cities, this led to violent riots in which 16 policemen were injured.

Olle Vikmång (S), chairman of the municipal board in Norrköping, condemned both Paludan’s demonstration and the violent riots in the Navestad district on Good Friday.

– I feel disgust for the messages that Paludan conveys. But it gives no right to resort to violence against the police and rescue services and to burn cars, injure, threaten and scare people, he says.

Oleksandr Malish, the patrol police chief for the cities of Kramatorsk and Slovyansk in the Donetsk region, is reluctant to call people suspected of collaborating with Russia Ukrainians.

“I cannot even call these people Ukrainians, even though they have Ukrainian passports and were born here and lived here all their lives,” said Malish. “These are not professional spies who were trained in Moscow and sent here.”

On March 8, a Twitter account called Libs of TikTok posted a video of a woman teaching sex education to children in Kentucky, calling the woman in the video a “predator.” The next evening, the same clip was featured on Laura Ingraham’s Fox News program, prompting the host to ask, “When did our public schools, any schools, become what are essentially grooming centers for gender identity radicals?”

Libs of TikTok reposts a steady stream of TikTok videos and social media posts, primarily from LGBTQ+ people, often including incendiary framing designed to generate outrage. Videos shared from the account quickly find their way to the most influential names in right-wing media. The account has emerged as a powerful force on the Internet, shaping right-wing media, impacting anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and influencing millions by posting viral videos aimed at inciting outrage among the right.

At 8:15 almost every evening I post a Libs of TikTok vid. She does us an invaluable favour by watching the loons in all their glory and providing us the highlights. Anyone who has seen the vids knows how central to the left are the outright demented.

I guess when you’re owned by one of the world’s plutocrats there is nothing to be done but punch down.

Chinese Firm to Acquire 13 Percent of Canadian Lithium Company for $5 Million

A Chinese firm that specializes in industrial explosives is planning to acquire a more than 10 percent stake in a Canadian lithium company for $5 million.

On April 17, China-based company Sichuan Yahua Industrial Group Co. Ltd. (Yahua Group) announced its plan to acquire 13.2 percent of Ultra Lithium Inc., a Vancouver-based lithium and gold exploration firm, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Yahua International Investment and Development Co. Ltd.

The deal signed between the two companies will also see Yahua International acquiring a 60 percent stake in a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ultra Lithium that has two lithium mining projects in Ontario, at Forgan Lake and Georgia Lake.

This ought to go over well with the Biden admin and their secure sourcing initiatives.

Using troll farms that post on Facebook and other social media sites, the campaigns often target the minority of Canadians opposed to COVID-19 vaccines and vaccine mandates, and others deeply distrustful of government, said Philippe-André Rodriguez, deputy director of the department’s Centre for International Digital Policy.

Here’s the kicker… Rodriguez also said Russian disinformation is being amplified by social media sites’ algorithms, which may require some kind of government intervention to counter.

This is the same government that had its CBC propaganda mouthpiece lie about “foreign” donations to the Trucker Convoy to justify seizing their donated funds.
