China‘s navy is now the world’s largest maritime military force and will deploy 460 warships by the end of the decade, according to the Pentagon‘s latest annual report on Chinese military power.
The current warship arsenal for the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) includes 355 naval platforms, including major surface ships, submarines, aircraft carriers, amphibious warships and mine warfare craft.

In a written statement released Tuesday, Gladu called her remarks “inappropriate.”

“With respect to standing and singing of O Canada during opening exercises in school, Ms. Miller expressed the opinion that this practice is distasteful and should be replaced with something more healthy and positive,” the council meeting’s minutes describe.
“Chair Manatch suggested that Indigenous students be permitted to sit and not participate in the singing of O Canada. Elder Dumont expressed the opinion that the government of Canada needs to hold people accountable for the deaths of students at residential schools.”

Seth Kenney, who owns an Arizona weapons and props rental company, was hired in late September to be an “armorer mentor” for Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, according to an internal crew list obtained by the Los Angeles Times.
Kenney, 51, had even suggested Gutierrez-Reed, 24, for the key armorer gig, despite her having only been in charge of weapons in one other movie, a source told the paper.

Belarus migrants: EU accuses Lukashenko of gangster-style abuse
The European Commission has accused Belarus’s authoritarian leader of luring migrants with the false promise of easy entry to the EU as part of an “inhuman, gangster-style approach”.
At least 2,000 migrants are now at the Belarus border with Poland.
“Upon arrival they are being pushed to the border and forced to make an illegal entry into the European Union,” said Commission spokesman Peter Stano.
