A CBC News analysis of post-federal election results informs readers of a terrible outcome: 95% of the MPs making up the new Conservative Party caucus are white.
The tone of the report delivers a disconcerting sub-text: this outcome is next-door to criminal. Conveniently, CBC neglect to point out that the Conservatives and NDP ran an equal number of racialized candidates. The crime being that the Conservative candidates didn’t win. Is it any surprise they were decimated by the Liberals?
On August 11, My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell stunned attendees and viewers at his 3-day Cyber Symposium with a surprise appearance by Mesa County, CO City Clerk Tina Peters. Ms. Peters appeared with Colorado resident and US veteran Sean Smith, who told the audience that the “lawless” Democrat Secretary of State Jena Griswold is “drunk with power” and explained that she won’t hold open hearings to discuss elections in their state.
While most political analysts were focused on whether the Liberals would hold on to their minority government, something else was happening throughout election night: the People’s Party of Canada (PPC) popular vote count continued to rise. In fact, they more than doubled the votes for the Green Party. In 2019, the PPC had almost 300,000 votes. But this election, at last count, the current total is more than 800,000—more than double that of two years ago. While none of the candidates in the PPC—not even leader Maxime Bernier—has won a seat, the party has been able rally the angry anti-maskers and those opposed to pandemic health measures under their far-right umbrella. A closer look at some of those who’ve joined the party include those who were rejected by the Conservative party or gained some degree of notoriety from racist rhetoric, or are opposed to pandemic health protections. And almost a million Canadians support them.
The further the CPC moves left, the more the PPC is demonized as ‘far-right’.

Avaaz members just funded the biggest-ever survey on climate anxiety in children and young people — surveying 10,000 people in 10 countries around the world. In every country, it shows that anxiety about the planetary crisis is very high, and it’s not just because we’re witnessing devastating climate disasters, it’s also linked to governments consistently failing to take decisive, meaningful action to stop the crisis.
We can still stop runaway climate change. We know what’s needed, and what governments must do. But it will require bold political will and determination — and that’s been woefully missing. Yet things are moving, there is new momentum, and there’s still tons of space for radical, grounded hope.
Here’s what the study found:
45%Nearly half of global youth surveyed (45%) say climate anxiety is affecting their daily lives: how they play, eat, study, and sleep.
75%More than seven in ten (75%) believe “the future is frightening” — jumping to 81% of youth surveyed in Portugal and 92% in the Philippines.
58%58% said governments were “betraying me and/or future generations,” while 64% said their governments are not doing enough to avoid a climate catastrophe.
39%Almost four in ten youngsters (39%) said they are now hesitant about having children.

It reminds me of that time I told a class full of kindergarteners every day for a year that the Boogy Man was hiding in the closet planning to eat them. Those kids are now very jumpy, which proves that we need to do something about this Boogy Man problem, like yesterday. If we don’t address the Boogy issue soon he’ll eat us before we’ve all had a chance to get our 25th Covid booster shot.
The “Squad” is a small group of radical members of the U.S. House of Representatives who run for Congress under the banner of the Democratic Party but do not reflect its mainstream policies. They represent niche districts that are not typical of the Democratic base. They could not be elected in any statewide race, because they lack widespread support. They were nominated because of low turnout in primaries and were elected because their districts are overwhelmingly Democrat. They are fringe Democrats who should not have influence beyond their districts. But the House leadership of the Democratic Party has exaggerated their significance and given them more power than they deserve.

So I think it’s important that we take the time to listen to MPs, listen to candidates, listen to campaign managers, grassroots,” Mr. Batherson said.”
Conservatives lock down member database as challenge to Erin O’Toole’s leadership grows
OTTAWA–The Conservative party has locked its MPs and candidates out of its central voter database in a move that critics say is an attempt by Erin O’Toole to protect his leadership.
Multiple sources told the Star that O’Toole’s team had denied them access on Wednesday morning to the party’s Constituent Information Management System (CIMS), its database of supporters and party members.
The move temporarily blocks their ability to get into the central reservoir of data that Conservatives depend on to identify, contact and rally voters.
