During a teleconference with the press, a senior administration official said that they were seeking “to improve public awareness of federal resources to address concerning or threatening behavior before violence occurs.” “This involves creating contexts,” the official continued, “in which those who are family members or friends or co-workers know that there are pathways and avenues to raise concerns and seek help for those who they have perceived to be radicalizing and potentially radicalizing towards violence.”
Even while prices continued to surge, both Powell and Bank of Canada governor Tiff Macklem, who addressed the Canadian Senate Wednesday evening, continue to insist that the inflation we are seeing now is a flash in the pan.
Speaking on Fox & Friends on Tuesday after the incendiary viral comments of Abrar Omeish, a young female Muslim board member of Fairfax County School Board, at the Justice High School graduation, a former Wall Street Journal correspondent and Georgetown University professor who is also Muslim and a parent in the school district fired that Omeish’s comments were “part of this network of political Islam in America that has joined together with the far Left in order to create a Trojan horse to basically hijack our schools with their radical ideology.”
When U.S. President Joe Biden hopped behind the wheel of a new Ford Electric F-150 last month, he called it the future of the U.S. economy: “A union-made product, right here in America.”
For some Canadians, his words rang out like a wake-up call because in recent years, engines for the F-150, and other Ford vehicles, have been assembled in Windsor, Ontario.
Of course, electric vehicles like the new F-150 don’t have engines — they have batteries and motors. That’s why Stephen MacKenzie, president of Invest Windsor Essex, the local economic development corporation, is scrambling to attract battery manufacturers to the region.
The embattled lingerie giant is attempting the most extreme brand turnaround in recent memory: an effort not just to redefine itself but also the very idea of what “sexy” is.
QAnons Are Harassing People At the Whim of a Woman They Say is Canada’s Queen
A woman who claims she is the secret ruler of Canada has, thanks to QAnon influencers, thousands of followers, some of which are extremely active offline and harassing Canadians.
Doug Ford’s gag law will limit comment on essentially any public policy issue
Politicians are going to politician. It doesn’t matter their party, the colour of their election sign or ideological background. Politicians will take any opportunity to silence their critics – even if it means enacting unconstitutional laws. And that’s precisely what Ontario Premier Doug Ford is doing by invoking the Constitution’s notwithstanding clause to overrule a recent Ontario court decision that struck down his government’s gag law.
Kingston to move Sir John A. Macdonald statue from City Park
The statue of Sir John A. Macdonald that stands in a park near downtown Kingston, Ont., will come down — at least temporarily.
Kingston city council voted 12-1 after a long meeting Wednesday evening to move the statue of Canada’s first prime minister from City Park to nearby Cataraqui Cemetery, where the Father of Confederation is buried.
“I don’t know that I’ve ever encountered an issue where the two sides are so far apart,” Mayor Bryan Paterson said at the virtual meeting.
‘This Is About Power’: Black Theologian Voddie T. Baucham Exposes ‘Demonic Ideology’ Behind CRT, BLM, Antiracism
During a recent interview with The Daily Wire, Baucham explained the unique insight he offers as a black pastor and theologian who now views the country from the outside after having been raised in an American inner city.
The Death of Rational Science
In science, honesty is key. If you cheat in your experiment, you won’t get a useful result. If our caveman secretly switched a sharp rock for a dull one, no one else would be able to successfully follow his new process.
In science, mistakes are valuable tools in the quest for truth. Accepting the hypotheses and experiments of others, and replicating the results, is the key to improvement in all areas of human life.
Recently the scientific method has fallen out of favor to be replaced with a quest for “fairness” and “what feels right.”
NASA Abandons Actual Space Mission To Focus On Implementing Critical Race Theory
“NASA is a 21st-century agency with 22nd-century goals. To be successful, it’s critical that NASA takes a comprehensive approach to address the challenges to equity we see today,” Bill Nelson, the NASA administrator, said in a statement. “The agency’s new Mission Equity is a bold and necessary challenge for NASA to ensure our programs are accessible to all Americans and, especially, those living in historically underserved communities across the country. Because when NASA opens doors to talent previously left untapped, the universe is the limit.”
No, not in the most obvious sense. What it’s doing is scrapping its long-built brand of sexy underwear on super-thin supermodels — and exchanging it for underwear displayed on fat models, transgender models, lesbian models, tattooed models, people whose taste and presentation in “sexy” is not quite the same as it was in the past, expecting the public to buy it, like it or not. They’re going virtuous, they’re going inclusive…
In a guest essay for the New York Times earlier this month, actor Tom Hanks apologized for his contribution as a filmmaker to erasing black history from American consciousness. Referencing the Tulsa race massacre of 1921, he wrote, “History was mostly written by white people about white people like me, while the history of Black people — including the horrors of Tulsa — was too often left out. Until relatively recently, the entertainment industry, which helps shape what is history and what is forgotten, did the same. That includes projects of mine.”
All that is on offer to the young is a lifetime in rental accommodation
According to the US house journal for Big Finance, the reason today’s young people remain in rental accommodation long past the point when previous generations had bought their own home, is because they don’t want to be tied down.
Show me a ‘woke’ corporation and I’ll show you a corporation that almost certainly has been up to some really dodgy stuff in its time. That’s certainly been borne out by the whole GB News boycott row, which exploded online yesterday.
Campaign group Stop Funding Hate has been running around Twitter trying to get companies to pull their adverts from the new anti-woke news channel, which only launched on Sunday. SFH, you’ll remember, is an authoritarian outfit that tries to deprive media outlets it happens to disagree with of revenue by piling pressure on advertisers.
Iranian political prisoners who were interrogated, tortured and sentenced to die by Ebrahim Raisi have told of their horrifying experiences as Iran prepares to make him the country’s next president.
Farideh Goudarzi, who was jailed for being part of a banned political group, told MailOnline how Raisi watched guards drop her baby on the floor as part of one brutal interrogation – after she was tortured while pregnant and forced to give birth in jail.
Meanwhile Mahmoud Royaee, another political prisoner interrogated by Raisi during the execution of up to 30,000 opposition activists in a 1988 purge, said Raisi once handed down a death sentence to an inmate who was in the midst of an epileptic fit.
For over a year, the American establishment and media have ostracized anyone who dared to connect the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic with the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Then, suddenly and without apologies for their past demagoguery, “journalists” and “experts” conceded that the Wuhan lab may well have been the most likely genesis.
‘Extremism’ is a meaningless word weaponized by politicians against their enemies.
The Biden administration revealed on Tuesday that guys who can’t get laid may be terrorist threats due to “involuntary celibate–violent extremism.” That revelation is part of a new crackdown that identifies legions of potential “domestic terrorists” that the feds can castigate and investigate. But there is no reason to expect Biden administration anti-terrorism and anti-extremism efforts to be less of a farce and menace than similar post-9/11 campaigns.
… After two hours of speeches and prayers at the vigil for the Muslim family that was killed, Imam Munir El-Kassem of London’s Islamic Centre of Southwest Ontario was invited to the stage to give closing remarks, in front of PM Justin Trudeau, Jagmeet Singh and other elected officials and went on to attack the JEWS.
Green party leader Annamie Paul’s press conference Wednesday afternoon can be summed up in two words: shots fired. Paul minced no words as she eviscerated Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for his fake, self-serving brand of feminism.
Green Party leader accuses Freeland of being Trudeau’s ‘female shield’
‘I am not a token:’ Freeland fires back at Paul’s accusation she is Trudeau’s ‘female shield’
“I’m a proud feminist who serves in a feminist government with a feminist Prime Minister.”
