Extreme green ‘keep it in the ground’ movement seizes on IEA warning

The International Energy Agency’s stark position that new oil and gas development must immediately stop to meet global climate goals could boost momentum for governments to restrict fossil fuel production and cause investors to cut off funding for such projects.

“This will strengthen the political argument in many countries for restricting the growth of new oil production,” Bob McNally, president of Rapidan Energy Group and former oil official in the George W. Bush administration, told the Washington Examiner. “It’s going to raise the regulatory risk and scrutiny on oil companies and investors that plan to develop new oil fields.”

Israel does not have a set time by which it seeks to finish Operation Guardian of the Walls, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a briefing to foreign ambassadors on Wednesday.

“We’re not standing with a stopwatch in our hand, rather, we are making sure to meet the goals of this operation,” Netanyahu said in response to a question about when this round of fighting will end, according to a source in the meeting.

Canada-U.S. border restrictions extended another month to June 21

OTTAWA — CTV News has learned that the Canada-U.S. border will remain closed to non-essential travel for at least another month, just days before the current agreement was set to expire.

Non-essential travel restrictions have been in place between the two countries since March 21, 2020. The provision exempts the flow of trade and commerce, as well as vital health-care workers such as nurses who live and work on opposite sides of the border.

Facebook removes pro-Israel page with 77 million followers

The campaign against the page started last week. Anti-Israel activists claimed that Facebook made them follow the page without their consent, and began flooding it with serious anti-Semitic comments – which also include photos and quotes by Hitler. The comments may have caused Facebook’s mechanisms to block the page, but Dr. Evans and his team claim that the activists, who posted more than a million abusive comments, also reported it and led to its removal.

Alberta government plan to use drones to monitor campers on Crown lands abruptly cancelled

Environment and Parks Minister Jason Nixon said in a statement Tuesday that as soon as he became aware of it, he instructed his department to suspend the call for bids.

“This request was not reviewed or approved by me or my office before it was posted. These devices should not and will not be used to monitor visitors while they recreate in our parks or public lands. I have been clear with my department, that while drones are an effective and cost-effective tool for wildfire monitoring and search and rescue assistance, they must never be used to encroach on privacy,” he said.

Donald Trump Should Not be the 2024 Republican Candidate

I voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020 because he was the best candidate. I did not vote for him because he was perfect. If he is the Republican candidate in 2024, I will vote for him again, because it is inconceivable that any Democrat Marxist in the known universe will be acceptable. But I pray that he is not available to receive my vote.

Report: Kamala Harris Maintains an ‘Enemies List’ of Journalists

Vice President Kamala Harris is said to keep a list of journalists she considers to be “racist,” according to a profile of her that appeared in The Atlantic.

“The vice president and her team tend to dismiss reporters. Trying to get her to take a few questions after events is treated as an act of impish aggression,” writes Edward-Isaac Dovere. “And Harris herself tracks political players and reporters whom she thinks don’t fully understand her or appreciate her life experience.”

She’s hyper-sensitive and not very smart, according to the profile.

Is the Biden administration running an anti-Israel con?

On Saturday, Israel announced that it had evidence that Hamas military intelligence assets were operating out of a building with civilian media offices — in essence, using the media as a shield. Because Hamas turned the building into a military site, it became a legitimate target under international law. So the AP and Al Jazeera lost their propaganda sites. Israel gave detailed information about notifying Biden in advance of the strike. However, on Monday, secretary of state Antony Blinken said there was no such evidence. Does this represent some kind of creepy and dangerous game-playing from the Biden administration?
