China Syndrome: Workers at Kingston baby formula plant claim harassment by managers

Employees at the Canada Royal Milk plant in Kingston, Ont., say management treated them like “minions” by denying them safety gear that fit, harassing employees by accusing them of being “overpaid” and less industrious than workers in China and — in one instance — making physical contact with a worker during a heated dispute.

Efforts to organize and certify a union with the United Food and Commercial Workers have been tied up in arbitration for the past year, while employee turnover at the plant in its early months of operations was constant.

Why are we allowing communists to set up shop in Canada?

Ontario reports 2,333 new Covid cases … and another lockdown looms

Tight lockdown coming soon for Toronto, predicts member of Ontario’s science advisory table

With COVID-19 infections surging, and younger adults filling up intensive care units, the Toronto area is almost certainly heading back into tight lockdown, predicts a member of Ontario’s science advisory table.

“I’d be shocked if we were not in lockdown shortly before or after this weekend,” said Dr. Nathan Stall, a researcher and geriatrician at Mount Sinai Hospital.

“There are many things in jeopardy — not just people’s lives and health-care capacity. The school year is in jeopardy, businesses are in jeopardy if they’re facing a prolonged lockdown. Everyone is going to suffer. Even the summer is in jeopardy now — day camps and overnight camps for kids.”

Ottawa, province to kick in millions to help fund new vaccine manufacturing facility in Toronto

The funding will help Sanofi build a new facility that will expand its influenza vaccine production capacity, while giving it the tools to fill-and-finish other vaccines on a mass scale.

The project, expected to be completed in 2027, will enable Sanofi to produce enough influenza vaccine for the entire population of Canada in six months. It will also enable Sanofi to implement fill-and-finish capacity that could be used to create vaccines for coronaviruses and other diseases in the future.

‘Dig Deep’: Students At Catholic School Instructed To Describe How They Benefit From White Privilege

“How do you benefit from white privilege, and how have you held onto that benefit (despite knowing the harm it does)?” one question presented to 11th-graders in an ethics class at Loyola Academy, a Jesuit school, said, according to Fox News.

“What have you learned about the ways you have specifically wield[ed] this privilege that do harm (whether you intend to or not)?” the next question said, also instructing students not to “sugar coat” and to avoid describing the positive things they’ve done with their “privilege.”

Her Name Is Lucia Whalen Bremer: 13-Year-Old White Girl Murdered in Broad Daylight in Richmond, VA Suburb By Black Male

We are not supposed to notice.

Those who do are immediately vilified as “racist.”

Meanwhile, we are supposed to celebrate every trivial achievement an individual who happened to be melanin-enhanced who was the first individual of color to accomplish a feat long ago established not just a white individual, but replicated again and again and again by white people.

But our society is said to be dominated by white privilege, structural inequality, implicit bias, and the historical legacy of slavery, where the daunting reminder of roads, schools, and streets (not to mention monuments) named after or honoring Confederate soldiers unites in suppressing little black boys and girls.

But for a little white girl to be murdered by a black individual is hardly news worthy of covering or immediately cause for condemnation of all black people in this affair (as we saw the fentanyl overdose of George Floyd instantly create in castigating all white people for the death of this “innocent” black individual).

In fact, it’s hardly news locally where it happened.

More Federal Debt Can Help Build a Better Canada

Rather than wringing our hands about if and when the federal government plans to balance the budget or about the lack of a fiscal anchor to discipline federal spending, we should take the opportunity to assess the costs of decades of austerity light and have the long overdue debate about the role of debt and taxes in meeting the crises ahead and building the Canada we want.

Canada Is Reducing Poverty and Increasing Equality, Says StatsCan

Climate change means even more parts of Canada will need to prepare for stronger hurricanes, report suggests

A new report in the ScienceBrief Review website published last week now suggests that many regions affected by hurricanes will likely experience storms of greater intensity as a result of Earth’s changing climate. Maximum wind speeds in hurricanes could rise five per cent if the planet warms by 2 C by 2100, the review of more than 90 peer-reviewed studies found.

STUDY: A Person’s Body Stays Their Biological Sex After “Transgender” Therapy

Multiple studies have confirmed that a person’s body stays the biological sex it was created, even after transition therapy. These studies have received very little media coverage despite being groundbreaking in the field.

What Is Climate Feminism?

“The climate crisis is not gender neutral,” says Katharine K. Wilkinson, coeditor of the anthology All We Can Save: Truth, Courage, and Solutions for the Climate Crisis, a book of essays and poems written entirely by women contributors. “It grows out of a patriarchal system that is also entangled with racism and white supremacy and extractive capitalism. And the unequal impacts of climate change are making it harder to achieve a gender-equal world.”

Big Media and Big Tech Collude to Control Thought

Nothing exemplifies the corporate collusion to control thought better than an article in the New York Times’ opinion section.

Charlie Warzel, one of the Times’ opinion writers, argues that conventional critical-thinking skills become useless when confronting the massive amount of information available online. Instead, Warzel advocates simplifying the process by limiting internet browsing to one or two trusted sources — such as Google or Wikipedia — to evaluate quickly whether a subject warrants further research.

Dantes Woke Inferno Deletes Mohammed

A new Dutch translation of the Divine Comedy has erased the name of Muhammad from the opus magnum of the Italian poet Dante Alighieri to prevent the epic poem from becoming “unnecessarily offensive” to Muslims.

Translator Lies Lavrijsen told Belgian Radio 1 that she expunged the founder of Islam from her translation to give it the “widest possible accessibility,” particularly for “a younger audience.”

It’s all America’s fault – Naive Brits have been duped by its poisonous politics

…But then America was a country famous for its incredible generosity, the welcome it gave newcomers; once you crossed that ocean no king, tsar or Führer could bother you again. Many enjoyed similar welcomes; a friend of dad’s remembered arriving around the same time and being picked up by a New York taxi driver who told him in a broad Nu Yoik accent: “Don’t worry, son, Uncle Sam’s gonna look after you now.” He never forgot that.
