Joe Biden’s attack on fossil fuel goes faster, further than anyone expected

Oil and gas companies knew they would face a fight with President Joe Biden, who had campaigned on tackling climate change. Nobody expected fossil fuel to come under such an immediate attack.

Biden didn’t quietly sidetrack the Keystone XL pipeline with legal manoeuvres. The new president yanked the permit on his very first day in office, blocking a project that would have delivered crude from Alberta’s oilsands before even speaking to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The media seem uninterested when a couple killed after a no-knock warrant is, well, white

Before Breonna Taylor, there was Dennis Tuttle and his wife Rhogena Nicholas.

The couple was at home in Houston one evening in early 2019, when, at 5 p.m. local time, police kicked in the front door to execute a drummed-up drug raid. Tuttle and Nicholas, both nearly 60, were shot dead by the police, who stand accused of falsifying evidence and records to obtain search warrants as a part of a fraud scheme for overtime pay.

PETA declares meat-eaters ‘human supremacists’, Twitter cringes & bombs it with mockery

The animal rights group PETA, famous for its shock-tactics publicity stunts, has implied that all non-vegans have something Klanish in them, denouncing meat-eaters as “human supremacists.” It certainly caught attention.

“Eating animals is speciesist,” People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) said on its Twitter account on Wednesday, adding that “Speciesism is the human-supremacist belief that one species is more important than another.”

Secret Nygard videos show former fashion mogul charged with sex trafficking travelling with teenage girl

Hours of behind-the-scenes video shot by a whistleblower show former Canadian fashion mogul Peter Nygard, who is alleged to have abused women and girls for decades, screaming at his employees and approaching a 16-year-old girl at the London Olympics.

Nygard is in a Winnipeg court today, arguing to be released on bail from jail, where he has been held since his arrest last month.

Stephen Feralio was hired as Nygard’s personal videographer in 2011. He spent the next three years documenting Nygard.

‘It’s a big threat:’ Canadian officials say U.S. still wants to shutdown key Line 5 oil pipeline

Officials in Michigan are looking to force the shutdown of Line 5, a pipeline carrying 540,000 barrels of Canadian oil and other petroleum products each day from Superior, Wis., to refineries in Sarnia, Ont. If successful, Canadian officials warn, the move would have a devastating impact on the Canadian economy, vaporizing thousands of jobs and cutting off a crucial supply of gasoline and jet fuel to Ontario and Quebec.

Secretive CSIS technology that could reveal ‘lifestyle choices’ needs a warrant, says court

Canada’s spy agency needs a warrant when using a secretive type of technology that could help them “learn about an individual’s private activities and personal choices” as part of its foreign intelligence gathering mandate, according to a recent Federal Court decision.

Details of what exactly that technology is and how it’s used were redacted in the June 2020 court ruling, which was posted online today.

The Federal Court’s findings would only say it concerns technology that allows the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) to collect certain information from mobile devices.

Given Canada’s ruling class trends toward promotion of virtually any perversion you care to name I expect heterosexual monogamy and church attendance will be revealed as scandalous behaviors meriting state surveillance.

John Kerry To Gas And Coal Workers: Make ‘Better Choices’ Because Your Jobs Are Going Away

When asked in Tuesday’s press conference what he would say to the people whose livelihoods are ruined due to Biden’s frenzied anti-fossil fuels orders, including halting leasing on federal land to use for oil and gas and canceling the Keystone XL pipeline, Kerry simply said those workers who were struggling need to make “better choices” for newer, greener jobs.

Ontario Reports 2,093 New Covid Cases… and Germany recommends nixing Astra-Zeneca vaccine for over 65’s

German authorities recommend blocking use of AstraZeneca vaccine for over-65s

The independent commission advising the German government on vaccination policy has recommended that the AstraZeneca vaccine not be used for people aged over 65, in a move likely to complicate the acrimonious rollout of the jab in the EU.

A statement by the Standing Vaccine Commission at the Robert Koch Institute, Germany’s main public health agency, said there were “insufficient data currently available to ascertain how effective the vaccination is above 65 years”.

Oops… Completed Ontario vaccinations only half what was reported

The Horror! Toronto Star Sounds Alarm! Women Sneaking Into Canada To Have Anchor Babies Denied Due To Covid Restrictions!

COVID-19 scrutiny has stopped some women headed to Canada to give birth, documents allege

Greater scrutiny of travellers, prompted by COVID-19, has yielded new instances of women from other countries coming to Canada with what officials say is an unspoken plan to deliver their baby here, documents obtained by the Star show.

Some observers have repeatedly cautioned that the practice controversially dubbed “birth tourism” — which is legal — is being overblown and that focus on it has been driven as much by racism as real concern.

The federal government, meanwhile, has said it is studying the issue in an effort to understand the scope of what is happening.

Canada is so fecked up.

Communist arse-licking Trudeau government contracts visa applications to Chinese company

Opposition calls on Canadian government to stop contracting out visa applications to China-backed company

Opposition MPs are urging the Canadian government to stop contracting out the work of processing visa applications, saying they are concerned that one of China’s largest state-owned investment funds is among the biggest backers of a company the Canadian government currently entrusts with this task.

As The Globe and Mail first reported last December, VFS Global, which processes visa applications in dozens of countries for Canada, is majority-owned by EQT VII (No. 1) Limited Partnership, whose registered office is in Edinburgh.

‘Kickback scheme’ saw $30M stolen before alleged $11.6M COVID-19 fraud, Ontario government claims

The Ontario bureaucrat fired after an alleged fraud involving $11.6 million in COVID-19 funds was the kingpin in an elaborate “kickback” scheme that stole at least $30 million more from the government, court documents say.

Sanjay Madan was terminated in November from his $176,608-a-year job as a Ministry of Education computer specialist after the alleged theft of $11.6 million in Support for Families funds. That money has since been recovered.

But in an amended statement of claim filed earlier this month, the government is also seeking an additional amount “estimated to be at least $30 million” that was allegedly pilfered since 2011.

US Issues Terror Alert Over Anti-Government Extremists

The US Department of Homeland Security declared a nationwide terrorism alert Wednesday, citing the potential threat from domestic anti-government extremists opposed to Joe Biden as president.
“Information suggests that some ideologically-motivated violent extremists with objections to the exercise of governmental authority and the presidential transition, as well as other perceived grievances fueled by false narratives, could continue to mobilize to incite or commit violence,” the department said.

Court Packing Here We Come…

Joe Biden has quietly launched a commission on “reforming” the Supreme Court, potentially dropping a partisan bomb onto Congress at the same time he’s pleading for “unity and healing.” Politico reports that it will supposedly be bipartisan, but there’s only party demanding changes to the top court’s structure.

Everything Hitler did was legal, too.
