One year on: how will the Ukraine war end?

In early October 2021 President Joe Biden, the CIA director William Burns and other top members of the US’s national security team gathered in the Oval Office to hear a disturbing briefing from US military chief General Mark Milley. ‘Extraordinary detailed’ intelligence gathered by western spy agencies suggested that Vladimir Putin might be planning to invade Ukraine. According to briefing notes that Milley shared with the Washington Post, the first and most fundamental problem facing Biden was how to ‘underwrite and enforce the rules-based international order’ against a country with extraordinary nuclear capability ‘without going to World War 3’. Milley offered four possible answers: ‘No. 1: Don’t have a kinetic conflict between the US military or Nato with Russia. No. 2: Contain war inside the geographical boundaries of Ukraine. No. 3: Strengthen and maintain Nato unity. No. 4: Empower Ukraine and give them the means to fight.’

Ms Riseborough has been nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars for her turn in To Leslie, in which she plays a drunk from West Texas who wins the lottery. This is Hollywood racial favouritism, the woke are wailing. To Leslie took a paltry $27,000 at the box office. Hardly anyone’s seen it. Apparently, it is only thanks to the noisy backing of ‘white stars’ – Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cate Blanchett – that ‘white actress’ Riseborough is in the running for this most prestigious of acting gongs. It really does pay to have ‘famous White friends’, says CNN. (Yes, CNN is now so drunk on the PC Kool-Aid that it capitalises races.)

Bernie Sanders is labelled a hypocrite for charging $95 per ticket for event promoting his new book ‘It’s Okay To Be Angry About Capitalism’

Bernie Sanders has been labeled a hypocrite for charging up to $95 ticket to an event promoting his new book about capitalism.

The senator, 81, is prepping his drop his newest book It’s Okay To Be Angry About Capitalism on February 21, which retails for $28.

Like many authors, the Democratic Socialist is hosting an event following its release at the Anthem in Washington DC on March 1, with tickets ranging from $35 to $95. Tickets $55 and above come with a copy of the book.

Male cross-dresser teacher is fired after sharing salacious TikTok videos of himself with sixth-grade students

A transgender substitute teacher in Maine has been fired after she was accused of sharing her TikTok handle in class, encouraging students to visit her page.

Lydia Lamere’s now-deleted posts included her discussing Hormone Replacement Therapy and posing in the bathroom wearing just a towel, The Maine Wire reported.

Another site, Reduxx, said that Lamere, who was born male, also had discussions of BDSM on her page.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is taking a hard look at “No Place for Hate”.

In December, Front Page Magazine published an exclusive investigation of the ADL’s curriculum.

“The ADL’s Racist School Curriculum Violates Florida Law,” went viral and was credited by many with helping unlock the organization’s descent into wokeness.

I’m trying to figure out the reason for the ADL’s decision to embrace the far left’s hatred of whites found in Critical Race Theory.

I suspect it may be due to the estrangement of diaspora Jews and Israel.

Maybe the ADL is placing its bet on the hard left in the hope of ensuring the US remains a safe space for their operations.

Could it be the goal of the Florida school curriculum and their distorted reports on “white supremacism” is to prove they are true allies of the left via a shared disdain for Zionism and white people?

Mind you it may simply be that hating white people is good for fundraising and they have become scammers like the SPLC.

If you were fired from your job for refusing to get a COVID-19 vaccine and test, there is a good chance you won’t be eligible for any unemployment benefits in Canada, legal experts say.

A federal court decision last week stated that a man in Ontario was not entitled to receive Employment Insurance (EI) benefits after he was terminated from his health-care job because he failed to comply with the employer’s policy regarding COVID-19 vaccination and testing.

‘Real-world dangers’: Security memos reveal ‘intensified’ threats facing Canadian MPs

In March 2022, Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly was one of several Canadian officials named in an online threat posted to the far-right social network Gab.

The threat called for the named politicians to be executed for treason, claiming that the Canadian government had been “hijacked” by the World Economic Forum.

Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino and his family have also been targeted by several online threats, linked to the federal government’s push to strengthen gun control. In one incident, an Instagram user replied to a post by the minister and threatened to shoot him.

The Anti-Gun Violence Hustle

Philadelphia and other cities suffering from surging gun deaths are pumping hundreds of millions of dollars into solutions that don’t work

In a recent mayoral debate at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Helen Gym, who had been an outspoken opponent of increasing the city’s policing budget in 2020, called gun violence the “single greatest threat to everything that we have ever hoped for in this city.”

Gun violence is ravaging Philadelphia, just as it is Rochester, Indianapolis, Columbus, Louisville, Austin, and six other major cities that suffered record-breaking homicides in 2021—a crisis that shows little sign of waning. Philadelphia has something else in common with those cities: Its officials have poured hundreds of millions of dollars into anti-violence initiatives that have failed to make a dent in the surging levels of violence. It’s a very American approach to a very American problem, as politicians pump money into opaque social initiatives that provide jobs to midlevel bureaucrats who fail to do anything at all.

“Everybody can get a grant, everybody gets paid,” said Jamal Johnson, a former Marine and anti-violence activist in Philadelphia. “It’s the new hustle.”

This sounds awfully like Toronto.

The list includes nearly a dozen public relations experts — specialists who generate positive spin in the media on behalf of clients — as well as political consultants, think tanks, and trade groups.

Sometimes, the money went directly to political operations; Majority Forward, a dark-money group designed to elect Senate Democrats, received cash. In some cases, the hired guns, such as PR firms, were paid directly for their services. In others, the groups that received donations maintain that they are independent, but had interests aligned with FTX.

A major war has been underway for a decade in the Middle East though it infrequently makes headlines. Month after month, week after week, and night after night, the Israelis have operated across the region against the Islamic Republic of Iran in what the Israeli government calls “the-war-between-wars” (or “the-campaign-between-wars”).[1]

The genesis of this war is clear. Since the early 1980s, Tehran has financed, armed, and trained terrorist proxies to target Israel. This includes Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Gaza, and more recently, Shiite militias in Syria and Iraq. Historically, Israel has battled many of these proxies in short but painful border wars. Tehran never paid a price. The Islamist regime preferred this dynamic, and the Israelis never altered the rules of engagement.
