Cori Bush’s Letter To Joe Manchin Is The Democrat Civil War Moment You’ve Been Waiting For

As RedState reported yesterday, Joe Manchin signaled he could scuttle the entirety of Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda. While Democrats had “agreed” to most of his terms in regards to a top-line number, they did so with a variety of budget gimmicks, many of which were used during the Obamacare debacle as well. Namely, projecting the use of multiple years of tax receipts to “pay for” lesser years of various entitlement programs.

This is called a Ponzi scheme in the real world. In Washington, it’s called business as usual, at least for the left side of the aisle on Capitol Hill. Yet, Manchin wasn’t having it this time, pledging that he will not be voting for a bill that contains such sleight-of-hand.

That made the progressive wing apoplectic. Cori Bush was nominated for craziest Congressional representative and launched a vicious attack upon Manchin. Truly, it’s one of the most insane statements by a national politician I’ve ever seen.

For the past 245 years, a significant portion of the wealth created in the entire world is in some way related to the United States. People across the globe fight to come to the USA — we must be doing something right.

Yet the Biden administration speaks of a desire to fundamentally transform the country. Why would anyone want to fundamentally change a system that has created the freest, wealthiest, most prosperous, and most tolerant people the world has ever seen? To replace it with a system of large, intrusive federal government; limited individual freedom; and high taxes? A system that has never worked in all history — generally ending in poverty, hunger, violence, and death on a massive scale?

Lauren Windsor, a Democrat operative, admitted her involvement in Friday’s failed tiki torch plot that attempted to smear Republican Virginia gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin as a white supremacist.

Windsor often poses undercover as a conservative activist to dupe politicians into making controversial comments.

Newly minted Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault says his agenda to combat climate change and bring down emissions from Alberta’s oilsands is not a secret.

Alberta Premier Jason Kenney has said Guilbeault’s appointment Tuesday to the environment portfolio sends a “problematic message” to his province about Ottawa’s plans for the oil and gas sector.

Guilbeault is a former environmental activist from Quebec who has called the oilsands “dirty” and argued that pipelines and oil and gas expansion are not compatible with meeting Canada’s climate goals.

Hamstrung by New Law, Portland Police Make No Arrests in Latest Riot

As a group of about 100 anarchists raged through a Portland neighborhood on Oct. 12, police reportedly remained in their vehicles.

Some say their inaction is a direct result of confusion over an Oregon police-reform law passed last summer, which restricts how they can respond to such crowds.
