San Francisco launches $6 million ad campaign that paints it as ‘quirky and fun’ to lure tourists back

The city of San Francisco has launched its biggest ad campaign to lure tourists and business travelers to the city that has been suffering from an intense and unending homelessness, drug addiction, and crime crisis.

The campaign, called ‘Always San Francisco’ cost a whopping $6million and is being spearheaded by the city’s tourism bureau.

It includes, among other things, the city’s first television commercial, a music video of sorts that seeks to highlight the quirkiness and diversity of the city.

Socialite Jasmine Hartin fined after killing Belize police officer

The Canadian socialite and former partner of the son of the billionaire and Conservative party grandee Michael Ashcroft has been fined after killing a police officer in Belize.

Jasmine Hartin, 34, was ordered to pay £30,000 by the supreme court in Belize City for manslaughter by negligence. She must also undertake 300 hours of community service and film a video about the dangers of “drinking and making foolish decisions”.

Stellantis Bribe Likely to Exceed Volkswagen Boondoggle

Stellantis NV is likely to receive more in subsidies for a new electric-vehicle battery plant in Canada than the C$13 billion ($9.5 billion) Volkswagen AG extracted for a similar project, according to an expert who has crunched the numbers.

Stellantis and South Korean partner LG Energy Solution Ltd. announced the factory in Windsor, Ontario last year, but have halted construction while they negotiate more financial aid from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government. The companies are seeking the equivalent of what they would receive under the Inflation Reduction Act if they located the plant in the US.

OTTAWA — Months after arguing Nigeria’s ruling party is responsible for terrorist acts, the Trudeau government has sent a cabinet minister to celebrate the swearing-in of its new president.

This week, Diversity and Inclusion Minister Ahmed Hussen visited Abuja to attend the inauguration of President Bola Tinubu, whose All-Progressive Congress party has ruled Nigeria since 2015.

Yet in Immigration and Refugee Board filings, Canada called the party “an organization that engaged in subversion of democratic processes as they are understood in Canada” and said it was responsible for numerous acts of terrorism.

I wonder what scam Hussen and the Nigerians are plotting?

‘The height of irresponsible behaviour’ TTC investigating after fireworks set off inside buses in Scarborough

The TTC has launched an investigation after a video of a firework being set off inside one of its buses surfaced on social media Tuesday night and went viral.

The 22-second clip was posted shortly after 6 p.m. by 6ixBuzzTV with the caption “Meanwhile on the TTC…” CP24 has not independently confirmed the footage.

In it, a teenage boy or possibly a young man with dreads, seen in the video wearing runners, blue jeans, a black t-shirt with a blue image, a gray hoodie, and blue runners, carrying a camouflage-print backpack, appears to be smiling while lighting what looks like a blue and yellow firework with a lighter inside a packed bus.

Systemic racism is to blame.

Teacher sacked after Facebook appeal to parents of yobs who attacked his home and threatened to rape & murder his wife and disabled daughter

A primary school teacher has been sacked over a Facebook post he made after yobs threatened to murder and rape his family, he has claimed.

Michael Flynn, 52, allegedly broke his school’s social media policy by posting online following two different incidents involving a group of youngsters at his assisted-living home, where his wife cares full time for her disabled daughter.

On May 23 the group allegedly tried to take a bicycle from the front garden of his home in Gillingham, Kent. His wife Angela, a former American police officer, says she asked them to leave before one of them threatened to stab her and bring people who would rape her and murder the family.
